Even though this breaks the bank at close to AU$60.00, I will repurchase this once I finish it simply because it works!
I'm sure many of you have "oily skin" like me, but we are not true oily skins. I'm actually dry skin and my skin over-compensates leaving my face like an oil slick by mid day.
I've tried moisturisers but they don't work, so I tried applying rice bran oil or grapeseed oil then the primer and my face is oil free until the end of my work day.
It's a great product but pricey so I'm going try TOO faced primer after this (although I seem to have an allergy to the shadow insurance)

I was shown this primer by one of the girls on the Benefit counter in Boots when she decided to give me a makeover. I am usually wary of this sort of thing but I know that Benefit has a good reputation of making lovely products despite their price tags so I didn't mind trying some out. I had told the girl that I really struggle with my skin because it is somehow really oily and my pores on my nose and forehead are HUGE and I have never been able to find a primer or foundation that will stop my face looking like an oil slick. She assured me that Porefessional will solve my self-consciousness when it came to my pores and oil control and to be honest I was impressed when she first applied the product as my pores DID in fact look a lot smaller. She then applied foundation, blush and powder and my face suddenly looked very smooth and clear, but I am sad to say it did not last long. Within an hour of buying the primer and leaving the shop the oil returned, but it took around another 2 hours before the pores reappeared at full hideousness. I reapplied powder and it seemed okay again but again within an hour the oil and pores had returned. The product instructions do say you can reapply the primer over makeup but without blotting papers or anything I wasn't keen on it. I have continued to use it though as I'm not happy to let £23.50 go to waste but when it runs out I will be looking elsewhere.

It's a shame because the packaging us really cute and when it first goes on it is so silky and smooth, a great base for liquid foundation but it just doesn't last, and for the price I expected a little bit more out of it.

I really wanted to like this primer, but frankly it sucks. I love Benefit packaging very fun and retro. The feel of this primer is amazing, as some describe it...velvety in texture. Other than the packaging and the feel of it, BIG LETDOWN.
It seems to quit working very quickly. When I first applied it I was really impressed at how my large pores seemed to fade away. It was like a cruel tease, as the effect faded away soon after. I've tried it both under and over foundation and both seem to make my makeup look gross and grimy within an hour or two.
Over foundation you could actually see that it was significantly darker than my foundation, and worst of all it clogs pores big time. Not what a girl with large pores wants-at all!!
I really like Benefit cosmetics, especially their cream shadows, but this is a big flop. Maybe it would work better on a different skin type? Bottom line, I would not recommend this to a friend.

To me, the majority of my low rating comes from the huge price tag. $30 for such a little amount of product.

I purchased this and I was never that impressed with it because it REALLY highlighted any dryness on my face, especially on my nose and cheeks. It does a good job hiding your pores, I have huge pores on my cheeks and this does seem to fill them in. They do not disappear. If I add too much it refuses to blend out, and it kind of..rolls together into little balls on my face. I think this has to do with the (unnecessary) tint of color the product has.I find that a lot of times when I squeeze the tube the product comes out separated and watery even when I shake it really well!

Overall, to me this is NOT worth $30. I purchased monistat chafing gel a few weeks after buying this, and I have to say, it does a better job at a fraction of the price (under $6). It doesn't highlight my dry areas, it feels easier to blend, it never comes out separated. I am using this up, but I will never repurchase.

i LOVE this product, i think its one of the many primers i've tried that actually works and keeps my makeup on for a longer period of time and i feel that doesn't make my t zone as oily, i love that this is not a silicone based primer so that it doesn't make my face more oily and that this primer is a mattifying primer, i used this alot when i was in hong kong for 4 days and my skin didn't feel as oily as i was back in singapore, im not sure is it because the weather was cold there thats why or is it this product, but its so expensive and for a tiny tube you get!!!!!!!!!! $48 AT SEPHORA! RIDICULOUS PRICE! But im definitely repurchasing this once i run out.

This products is so amazing! I have found that you must pat it into the skin to get it to work the best. I have found that if I just rub it in, it kind of smears away. I am already on my 2nd full tube of this and I have 2 mini's floating around also because I never want to be without it :o)

This product overall sett in my pores nicely.
But I was skeptical about puting this on my whole face so as I did within thirty minutes my face had been a greaseball :( overall this primer is just as bad as the drugstore primers. Do not buy if you are oily or even slightly oily. Waste. Of. Thirty. Bucks.

I have 2 backups of this product because it is such a great primer. It does a fantastic job at minimizing pores, reducing fine lines, mattifying your face and keeping oil away, as well as making your makeup last all day and look flawless while doing it. It does have a light smell to it but it goes away right after applying it to your face. The primer blends beautifully into your skin. However, lately I've been leaning towards the Too Faced Primed And Poreless face primer as you get a lot more product for the same price and I find the texture to be a bit more smooth.

I don't have too large of pores to begin with so I didn't notice a change there, but I found this product to be a fantastic mattifying primer! It's so soft and velvety feeling. I seem to only really have oily skin in the spring/summer months, but maybe it's just because I live in a very hot and humid place during those months, and it's not a problem for me in the cooler months? I love this primer and it really keeps hold of my makeup. I used the white Smashbox primer for a couple years before trying this one, but I think I'll be permanently switching to Porefessional!

HOLY CRAP I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! I have the tiniest pores ever and dry skin, but this product just made my skin SOOOO soft. I use it under Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow in Beige, followed by a soft swipe of Coralista on my cheeks and Smashbox Suntanne Matte bronzer to contour. I'm not sure how much it actually does for your pores, but my skin has been flawless all day and SO soft. I feel beautiful in it.

However, it's so expensive, I'm not sure I'd buy it. I received 2 free 0.25 oz bottles from Sephora (the $30 bottle is 0.75) for I pretty much for $20 worth of product free. I'll have to see how long it lasts me! <3

But I'd say if you haven't tried it, you have to :)

At first this product did not work for me at all. My pores looked the same huge size as they had before but then I discovered I had been applying the product all wrong. I used to apply it on my face in a sweeping sort of smoothing motion like a moisturiser but then I found out from a youtuber that in order for this product you need to pat it into your skin. After i did that when I use it underneath my foundation, my pores look smaller and less visible so it does work. However I probably wouldn't purchase this again because I prefer to have a primer that can better work against shine and an oily tzone but this is definitely worth a try.

This product does what it says - it minimizes pores and leaves your skin silky smooth. I use it before my foundation, but sometimes it flakes.

This is a weird product.
It's supposed to be a balm for minimizing your pores, but for me, it didn't do that. I don't really suffer from very large pores anyway, but this stuff doesn't seem to make much of a difference to them.
It does, however, make THE BEST primer I've ever tried for my oily skin. It's amazingly mattifying and is great for smoothing out little bumps and uneven skin-tone.
The consistency is a bit odd when first dispensed from the tube- sort of like a string of product. You can warm it up with your fingers, though.
Just as a forewarning- it's not white or clear. It's sort of beige. It doesn't transfer any colour to your skin however, so this is not an issue, but it is a bit surprising and again, weird.
Overall, a great product, but not for the thing it's supposed to be great for.

I received a sample size of this product with my Birchbox several months ago. At first i just put it in the "archives" since I am extremely acne-prone and hesitate to just slather new products on my face. However, on a whim one day I decided to try it around my eyes to see how it would hold eye makeup, and it worked awesomely! Months have passed, and I have all but forsaken my Primer Potion and Stay Don't Stray eye primers. I use the Porefessional after my moisturizer /eye cream ritual- from the top lid to the brow, and in the hollows underneath my eyes. I have also started using it on my forehead in between my eyes and around my nose, mouth and chin. So far no breakouts, and my makeup sits perfectly all day long! (As a side note, I use powdered mineral makeup and concealer, not liquid. That could make a difference in how the primer behaves).

The reason I do not give this product a 100% rating is that it is insanely over-priced for the quantity and the little tube in which it is packaged. If I did not have such finicky skin I would probably keep searching for a comparable product at a lower price point. However, it is not worth it to me to risk the painful cystic breakouts that usually occur when I try new products, so I will stick with this. I just found a full size on eBay for $19 with free shipping, which is still pricey, but certainly better than $30!

Wasn't a huge fan of this primer! It did make my foundation go on nicely but i found within a few hours my make up had slid off! and for that reason i don't think its worth the money! but this could be down to my skin type as i am yet to find a primer i am completely satisfied with.

Applies smoothly to the skin, and doesn't feel heavy or like it's clogging pores. Could instantly see results (smaller pores, as it claims) I wear it both under make-up or on it's own. Would definitely recommend, very happy with the results I've had. Although, it is rather costly. Although I really enjoy the results, I'm not sure it's something I would purchase again once it runs out, simply because of the cost. If it was cheaper, I would definitely be a repeat purchaser.

Trying to find the perfect primer, I got this as a sample with the special going on at Ulta last year.
I like how it feels on my skin, doesn't make my skin angry, no breakouts, very smooth very easy for my liquid foundation to apply. I haven't tried it in humid weather so I'll update this hopefully, and it indeed makes my pores disappear but my pores are small to begin with. :) It looks like a beige colored mousse.
The one thing I noticed was it made my TruMatch oxidize a little more and I used it a tint lighter than my natural skin tone.
I thought about getting the Mineral Infused primer from E.L.F. since it's cheaper and I'm strapped on cash.
I would recommend this primer.

This product was okay. It did what it claims to: "Quickly minimize the appearance of pores & fine lines for smoother-than-smooth skin! " but wasn't amazing in any way.
For reference I have light normal / dry skin with large pores around my nose.
PROS:
Cute packaging
Didn't break me out (few things do)
Did minimize pores

CONS:
The price...Normally I have no problem dishing out the cash for high end products. I love Benefit and think almost all of their products are great. But 30 USD is expensive for a primer that isn't THAT good especially when it's only .75 oz, rather than the standard 1 oz. Think about how many tacos you could buy for thirty bucks.
It doesn't make my makeup stay on any longer than any of my drugstore primers do.
It's easily dupe-able. Nyx's pore filler has the same effect for me and costs like twenty bucks less. Hard Candy's Sheer Envy is another possible dupe as well.
It's colored...why? It goes on clear, but it's an ugly tan color in the packaging.
It smells...strange? Not bad, just different I guess.
If you're looking for a good high end primer I'd try Tarte's Clean Slate Primer..It's the same price, but comes with .25 oz more product, and works ten times better.
