I must share a secret with my fellow brunette MUAers-- this is TERRIFIC for BROWS! Take a tiny dab on your BB ultrafine eyeliner brush, wipe any excess on a tissue and VERY lightly (with a sketching motion) fill in your brows in the same direction that they grow. Take your time the first time you do this until you get the feel of it. When you are satisfied, give it a second or two to dry, then go over it gently with an eyebrow brush. Dab your brows lightly with compact powder to soften the look. Your brows will last ALL DAY and won't smudge, even in hot weather. Of course, the most appropriate colors for this are Mahogany or Sepia ink.
UPDATE-I've discovered Makeup Forever Waterproof Brow Corrector. It works on the same principal but it's designed specifically for brows.

I love this gel liner! The color looks so natural and yet makes me look so much better than without it. It is so easy to apply with the ultrafine eyeliner brush (although the brush wore off too quickly, but that's another product to review). It is quite a hassle to use though coz I would very much prefer a pencil liner that could do the same thing for my eyes, but have yet to find one. I've bought quite a few pencil liners to try to copy the effect that this gel liner does to my eyes, but still no luck. I always have to come back to this gel liner and threw away all those useless pencils.
It does smudge on me a little though as I'm in a tropical zone and have quite oily eyelids, but I could live with that.
Forgot to say that I wouldn't buy this color again coz there are so many other colors I wanna try such as granite ink, mahogany, etc.

Color: dark browned black. The problem I've had with some brown eyeliners is that they are TOO brown, I want a less harsh, more natural looking alternative to black. This color is perfect because it's close to black but not as harsh and much more softer and natural looking.

Texture/staying power: The BEST! BB Gel liners are comparable to MAC but with one major difference: texture. The texture of MAC's fluidlines is wetter, not as thick as Bobbi Brown's. BB gel liners are of a thicker, less wet consistency and I find BB's much easier to work with and I much prefer the texture over MAC's. However, for some reason, I use up Bobbi Brown gel liner pots faster than MAC's---but that could be a benefit, more sanitary (less time for bacteria to fester in the pot of liner.)

This is my HG liner. I find jet black gel liners such as MAC fluidline to harsh sometimes, although I love blacktrack for tightlining because it's more defining when used as tightlining than BB Sepia Ink. But I like Sepia Ink better for regular eye lining, I love how natural it looks. This really is longwearing, I have oily eyelids that causes other eyeliners (pencil liners) to raccoon eye and smear on me within a few hours of applying. Bobbi Brown stays on longer, does not raccoon eye on me, and does not smear. You could apply it before going to sleep and it would be there the next morning. This is PERFECT with Urban Decay primer potion.

This is the best eyeliner I've ever used. Every previous attempt has been somewhat unsuccessful as I would always accidently draw it on too thick. This would make my eyes appear much smaller, closer together, and deeper set due to my eyelids being hidden behind a thick line. Brown's gel liner allows you to make the thinnest line possible, as close to the lash line as possible, with the smallest effort. I wish I tried it a long time ago.

I have been using this Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner for about 2 years now. Before that, I used a waterproof pencil liner from Prestige, which I thought at the time was pretty good, but since using the BB liner I don't think anything can compare. I have eyelids which don't have a large open lid area (I guess you can call it a hooded eye, like an Asian eye, although I am not Asian), and anything other than a waterproof liner just smudges and smears all over the place. Even some of the waterproof liners would smear. But this one stays in place like no other yet is easily removed with eye makeup remover (I use Neutrogena) or plain baby oil. I love the color for my fair skin/blue eyes; it's not as harsh on me as black. It's not hard to apply, especially with practice, and I use the BB eyeliner brush, the one with the yellow bristles as I like a thicker line across my top lids. The only complaint I have is that the 2 pots of this I've had in the past have dried out quite a bit by the time it's halfway gone. A MAC artist recently told me that by adding just the tiniest drop of tea tree oil, the consistency will come back, but I've been reluctant to do this yet. If it gets bad enough, it's worth a try before tossing it away, tho.

This is the best eyeliner I have ever used! It has fantastic staying power (won't crease) and is easy to apply. I'm quite fair skinned and have blonde hair so the sepia color works really well for daytime looks. The gel is really easy to apply, though it can get a little inconvenient to have to carry around the eyeliner brush. I've gotten this eyeliner is 3 other colors and highly recommend it. Though it is expensive a pot will last at least a year.

This is by far the best eyeliner for sensitive eyes. I used MAC fluidline before, but this is a much better product. It stays all day until I want it off. Also this product doesn't ruin brushes like other products.

You haven't used eyeliner if you haven't tried Bobbi's gel eyeliner. This is a dark dark brown (almost black) gel eyeliner without any shimmer. Lasts long and when it wears off it fades subtly instead of leaving your eyes looking like they've been punched. Very good. If only it is more convenient to carry around.

This is my favorite makeup product I own, and it has made the most impact of any of the makeup products I have. In my experience, pencil liners simply cannot effectively define my eyes the way liquid or gel liner can, and I don't have the time or steady hands to apply liquid liner. I apply along my upper lashes only, using a Sephora brand fine liner brush. The texture is creamier (and more ideal IMO) than Stila Smudge Pots. Application is not as quick as pencil, but it's pretty easy (and gets even easier with practice), and if you make a little mistake, you can grab a q-tip and smudge it a bit, and it still looks great. It lasts all day+ without moving. I have worked out then rubbed the sweat off of my face with my hands while wearing this, and it still looked perfect. One thing that could be a potential con for some is that the color, while beautiful in the pot, does not transfer precisely to the eyelids. On the eyes, it looks very dark, definitely not harsh like black, but dark. I was initially disappointed by that, but I quickly came to appreciate the dark color and realized that it is best for defining the eyes...I just had never had this much success with other liners. On that note, from what I've gathered from reviews, most BB gel liners apply very dark, which I'm thankful for because I don't feel like I have to buy any of the other colors (they're $19 apiece).

I have to admit that I had to practise a bit with this one but after I found out how it works best for me I really love this one. The colour is a medium brown which makes it perfect for everyday use. Plus the colour lasts the whole day and even the toughest sport or weather can't impress it . One of my holy grails and undefeated yet. If only a simple pencil would have its features...

My eyes: Small asian eyes with oily lids
Packaging: Small size is great for travel, but glass makes it a little inconvenient

Pros: Lovely natural brown which is great for day use. Creamy consistency makes it easy to brush on, great to make thin and thick lines. Does not flake or smudge even on hot and sweaty days.
Cons: Dries up quite fast so be sure to replace cap asap, dries up on the back of my hand very quickly too, so i need an oil MU remover to clean up after applying on my eyes. Brush needs to be cleaned immediately too.

broke down and bought this at holts recently. i already have this gel liner in violent ink (and love it btw) but couldn't resist this perfect neutral brown when the S.A tested the color on my hand. this beautiful, smothering color is subtle enough for everyday wear and easily worn nights out. i have since stopped using pencil liners. bobbi brown liners are so so smooth and the formula lasts day til night. will repurchase this little pot if i ever run out.

HG!!!
This stuff stays on all day, and it is so easy to apply! I'm seriously spastic with eyeliner, but when I apply this with Bobbi's ultra-fine eyeliner brush, I can create a perfect lashline easily.

Packaging quality is okay, but I've dropped it before, and since it's glass, it's gotten chipped. I would prefer a plastic tub. The top layer also tends to dry out pretty easily, which then makes it harder to apply.

Still, I haven't found anything even close to this, counting the other products that are supposed to be like it, such as Clinique's cream liners. Love it!

Sepia is absolutely better than Black for my brown eyes for an everyday look. It never fails on me on any weather conditions or life situations. Texture is not too dense, not too thin, just the right amount and smoothness to feel as if they are just naturally coming from your eyes. Even if you mess up a bit, it doesn't look weird so it is perfect for me as a beginner to pick up using eyeliners. It truly is professional looking. I wouldn't go to work without a little eye make-over in the morning. A little goes a long way is very true. I've been using this for over a year, and there is very much left there.

I repurchased this 3 times and will keep doing so. I have to keep rebuying because it dries out after about a year or so, but other than that it's perfect for all my liner needs. Just the right shade of dark brown (MAC dipdown was too light, too warm and too soft for me, and BB Espresso was too dark and too cool), perfect consistency, last all day, doesn't smudge and washes off easily. It's all I use for tightlining and it really makes my green eyes stand out. Tried fluidlines in various colors and LM bleumarine intended for this purpose (didn't work for me), and came back to this. For good I guess. I'm ok with the price because of the quality. I use LM flat eyeliner brush for tightlining and MAC 209 (pointed) and Paula Dorf angled brush for all other kinds of lining.

I feel torn about this liner. It has the usual great BB ink quality, and it's a gorgeous color for me--a dark, olive-tinged brown that really sets off my slightly warmer brown eyes beautifully. But it is so hard (for me) to apply because it's so dark and makes such a strong line--it's tough to make it work (for me) for an everyday look. I'm always putting it on and having to work off the edges with an eye makeup remover pen . . . . I'm going to keep it because it looks so great (also because I don't have much choice--I bought it at Bergdorf's) but will save it for special occasions and evening events.

This is my favorite of BB's gel eyeliners. It's brown, and it never comes off. Until you take it off. Believe me. I train horses for a living, and I have been out in the 105 degree crazy ass weather we have had, sweating like you wouldn't believe. My hair has been a mess but my eyes look great! I use this with Maybelline Full and Soft Waterproof and at least my eyes don't look melted like the rest of me does.

The color is a soft brown, not too light, not too dark.
The texture is the most long wearing I have ever tested in my entire life. Waterproof, smudgeproof, sweatproof !! Besides, the product lasts for ever and has good preservation properties as the years go : I bought the BB Long Wear Gel Liner more than 3 years ago and the gel is still soft and useable.
An adapted brush applicator is indispensable to apply the product.
The only little defect : the packaging is not very handy ; it would be better if a brush applicator was provided with the product.
Although it is expensive, the price is not really a defect because it is a good investment : it is top-quality and it lasts for years.
Definitely a must have !! I also have it in black, graphite, ivy... and plan to buy more colors !! :-)
