I really like this foundation. It does NOT make me breakout, which is a plus and it evens out my skin tone. Whenever I wear this product, my boyfriend tells me that my skin looks like it's glowing! :)

I LOVE this product! I've tried almost everything and this is the only one that makes my skin tone even and also covers small imperfections. I bought this online from a British Pharmacy-store, good price too! I am very very fair skinned which means sometimes it's hard to find a good colour match but this is really awsome! I have Opal, nr 12. It's almost white but it evens out when I apply it so it matches skin tone perfectly! :)
Am SO glad I found this. Also have it for dry skin during winter. Finally Vichy! You've done something really really nice! :D

Ive been using this foundation for two months now and am very happy with the results. I still have my old foundation (lancome teint idole ultra) which I love as well but Vichy Aera offers me a lower priced item and basically works almost exactly the same but for the $30 cheaper price tag Ill take the slight difference!! It feels so light weight, the formulation is much healthier and leaves the skin a nice soft glow yet matte. Anyone looking for a great foundation with medium coverage should invest in this.

I agree with the other reviewer that dont let the color in the bottle fool you as it does get slightly darker when your oils mix in couple hours later.

The texture of this foundation is nice, it absorbs quickly on the skin, but not so quick that you can't blend. It leaves the skin feeling natural (like you do not feel the foundation there) and there is no smell. So it is very wearable. Coverage however is at most medium, and if you try to build coverage, it will get harder to blend and looks pastey. Staying power is ok (1 lippy off), on my oily T zone it goes shiny in less than 2 hours, so I have to blot often and repowder. It did not break me out, which is good. My biggest peeve - DO NOT be fooled by the color in the bottle. This thing goes like 2 shades darker when it is dried!! This is the reason why I took the second lippy off. When I bought this, I had swatched a bit on my skin, when it dried the color look ok, so I bought it. I wore it the next day, and after like 2 hours, I noticed I looked kinda of darker, not exactly orange, just browner. I thought I had too much bronzer on or something. Next day I avoided bronzer altogether, and still later in the day, I find my face a shade or two darker! So I did a test, I squeezed a bit of foundation on a glass dish, let it dry for hours, and true enough, I found that when this thing truly dried, it was 2 shades darker!!! This is downright silly. Becos it means, if I have to buy the right shade, I have to look like Geisha pale for 2 hours before the right color kicks in. No thank you.

My mother brought this back from Italy and wow! The BEST foundation I have ever used for my oily skin. I love Vichy products anyway...Well, she WOULD NOT part with her bottle and I had to order on-line from a British pharmacy as this product is not available in the U.S>price was still less than my other favorite YSL Teint Resistant foundation available at Nordstroms and Sephora buy very pricey. I ordered "Honey" and it is lovely for my medium complexion, does NOT separate and gives a beautiful natural finish. Love it, love, love it!! A great foundation for my oily skin.

Wow, amazing! This is a very impressive, natural-looking foundation. I found this at Shoppers in Canada for around $27, tax included. I love my Dior Extreme powder, but needed something with more coverage for bad days. Other long-wear foundations had bad reviews, weren't non-comedogenic or were over $60. Opal matches my very pale yellow skin well, which is no easy feat. It blends well, looks completely natural, provides great coverage and feels light.I don't feel it on my skin like others. It also lasts all day without creasing or going patchy. My one gripe is that it isn't completely transfer-resistant.Despite this, its much better than products three times the price. It seems designed for sensitive skin, which mine is. No breakouts as of yet, but I'll update if they occur. I highly recommend.

This foundation is one of the best I have ever used.
Since I have acne and eczematic skin its very important for me that this foundation is hypo allergenic and non-comedogenic. Also, its a oil-fee formula and doesnt break me out!
The color range is perfect for me, no. 23 ivory in winter and 35 sand in summer. These are neutral colors which are perfect for me, dont make my skin look yellow or pink.
However, I have a con: it really doesnt wear 12 hours, by the end of the day you can hardly tell I have used it
And: although I used the version for dry skin, I need to use a lot of moisturizer first otherwise dry lines and flakes on my forehead shine through

it is very difficult to find a foundation that when you apply it on your face you say wow this is perfect, even the colour :) . i personally like vichy skincare so i said why not try it. i use the number 35 sand. i agree that at first when i applied it with the brush i was shocked because i looked a little bit white but then yes it settled by itself perfectly as if it blended on its own. i wear it for a whole day and no crease or smudge. to be honest it needs touch ups however occasionaly when the skin is very oily, but i think that is the same for a lot of foundations.
care has to be taken as not to apply a lot :P
it has a good spf in it :) i would certainly buy it again :)

I dunno why I bought this in the first place. I was/am happy with my Estée Lauder Double Wear Light and had no need for another. I got a bottle of the Vichy make-up for over 4 € less than what it usually retails (18,50 €). I am NC15 with MAC and funnily enough the perfect shade for me turned out to be 23/Ivory rather than 12/opal, which is the lightest available colour. When I applied the Vichy fluid for the first time I was shocked, to say the least. Not only is dosing difficult with the pump dispenser it comes in (far too much product that first time!) but it also looked very yellow. I do have yellow skin undertones, just not that much. Anyway, I carefully applied the make-up with my fingertips and was surprised by how quickly it settled & melted into my skin. I have tried loads of fluid make-ups (Chanel, Sisley, Estée Lauder, Nivea, etc) and never was any of them absorbed so quickly. I was totally stunned. There was no visible trace of make-up on my face, it was almost like using a tinted moisturizer. There is the wash of colour, the perfected complexion and the glow but still no visible sign of make-up. Like when I use my EL Double Wear Light there's a powdery, soft focus finish and it looks natural but you always see this perfection comes from make-up. The Vichy make-up looks like it's not really there... This is really hard to describe. Anyway, I find it absolutely unique. No other make-up fluid I know is like that. And while initially the colour looked so yellow, it turned out to be a perfect match. It's just super important to not use too much product. The blending and setting it does on its own. The finish is not quite powdery or matte, more on the polished & dewy side which only adds to the porcelain doll look. And I am very fond of that, btw, which is why I never add finishing powder over a fluid foundation, as it usually makes me look dead because I'm so pale already. I need that bit of extra glow to look healthy. Oil control is alright. I do get a shiny T-zone around noon but it's not too bad. That happened with all other foundations as well, I just have really oily skin. What's more important: The make-up stays put. No creasing, no smudging. It never looks cakey. It doesn't "glide off" (powder make-ups usually do that). It actually has even better lasting powder than the EL Double Wear Light and that says quite something. So, in general I can say I'm happy with my very spontaneous purchase. It's a lovely (and SO much cheaper!) replacement for my EL Double Wear Light and even contains a higher SPF (EL = SPF10, Vichy = SPF 20). Will update about the positive effect on the skin it's supposed to have, can't say anything about that now. But for now, all five lippies nonetheless! Highly recommended.
UPDATE November, 26th 2010: Unfortunately, I had to take off one lippie because eventually this foundation broke me out. And really badly, too. I loved it so much but this is really a no-go. Returned to EL DW Light. Sorry.

I was also very impressed by this founadtion!
I like and respect Vichy as a house , geneally their stuff is good and hypo-allergenic and reasonably priced. That said, have had many of their skincare & body skincare but never ventured into the Vichy foundation realm.
This new Aera Teint is really good!
It is very very liquid, so beware, but a little drop will suffice: you can cover the whole face with it.
I like the lightweightness, the good coverage (I need to cover and this one performs quite well!) and the natural finish. it's not matte but not dewy either. it's just right! You really don't feel it on your skin, it's feather-light.

I have it in a quite darkish shade #35 (have a bunch of 10 sachets that will last me one month or more) but it's summer and I am getting sun-tanned so my foundation needs to be darker; this shade matches a NC-NW 25 circa.
Great lasting power (you need to set it w/ setting powder though!); need a little blotting around mid-day, but no grease at all.
It's a great foundation for the summer, in my opinion, and very reasonably priced.

I first got to try this foundation in a sample I found in a magazine. That little bag had enough foundation for me to use it twice, mom used it once and there was still enough left for at least one more application but unfortunately it dried out. The sampler was small but this foundation spreads out evenly and smoothly, offering enough coverage that you only need a tiny bit of product. Needless to say, I was sold!
After a week, I found it in the drugstore, got matched, bought it and I never looked back. This was an incredibly good buy! You get a full ounce of product for little more than 20$ (at least that's the price in my country).
Although I generally don't have problematic skin, there is that time of the month when I look icky and pimply and red and the pores look larger than ever. Even at those troubled times, it only takes half a pump to cover any imperfections.
What's really wonderful is that this doesn't settle in fine lines and pores as many drugstore foundations tend to do (I'm looking at you, Revlon Custom Creations!)
I'm going to end my review here, there's no use to endless rambling and raving. I LOVE it and will definitely repurchase!

Excellent foundation. Gives a beautiful, smooth, natural finish on my combination skin. Good medium coverage without looking too heavy. Does not clog my pores and I believe it has improved the texture of my skin . Colour appears slightly lighter in the bottle than it wears. One of the best I've tried, outperforms many of the high end brands. I will repurchase.

I purchased this foundation at my local SDM (Canada) just over three weeks ago, one day after it hit the shelves. It was an impulse purchase but I'm always on the hunt for a Holy Grail foundation. After all these years I think I should give up the hunt but I keep thinking that technology or whatever will produce a better product.Sorry for the long intro.

The first thing to note is that the colours are a lighter in the bottle than when you apply them. There is a slight change in the pigment after pumping it out but it's not oxidization or anything bad. The finish is beautiful....not too dewy...not too dry....just right for my normal mature skin. It blends really well and does not highlight any flakiness and breakout which I sometimes have around my lips, nose and chin, due to a mild case of Rosacea. I have had no reaction to it. My only complaint might be that it's a bit runny and a full pump which I dispense on the back of my hand is too much for me to do my full face. This is not usually a problem for me and I need to experiment with the pump some more. The pump can also be unscrewed.

This is truly a lovely foundation worth a try. It is up there for me with my Guerlain Parure Extreme which is way longer wearing but the finish is not as nice and it's hard to remove. This Vichy foundation comes off easily. It's quite lovely.
