Really lovely toner. It's very good value for the amount you get. I feel it has cleared up my skin. It does "sting" slightly if you aren't gentle but to be honest i'm one of those that thinks "it won't work if it don't hurt!". I have combination skin and this toner makes my skin balanced. I think also because i use it with t.b.s. tea tree facial wash, lotion and blemish fading night lotion my skin has really improved. If you're skin can handle this give it a try.

This product doesn't really do anything for my skin/blemishes. Although it removes the extra make up that my make up wipes haven't cleaned, so i guess that's a plus. But other that those, i don't really know what else to say, this product it a rip off.

I have been using Clinique 3 step for two years, but i noticed that the Clarifying lotion doesnt worrk. I am a number 4 in clinique and I changed to skin clearing toner a year ago and wow! I love this stuff! recently i ran out of the toner and went back to my clarifying lotion and now im breaking out! Im definitely going back to my original routine
1. Clinique Liquid Soap
2. Tea tree - Skin clearing toner
3. Dramatically different moisturizing gel

Meh, nothing impressive, just like the tea tree scrub..The first times I used it it did sting actually alot. Now it doesn't anymore ( I've been using it for 3 weeks), but it doesn't do anything. Hasn't dried out my skin (oily t-zone and normal on the rest of the face), hasn't controlled oil, hasn't done anything for me. Got this one as a present, wouldn't repurchase.

I have dry/combination skin and I get breakouts often and I LOVE this toner!!! I had been using the Clinique Clarifying Lotion #2 (which is just a fancy name for a toner) and it gave me odd bumps on my forehead. I decided to switch back to this toner a few weeks ago and the bumps went away over night. I'm not sure if I'll purchase this toner again or another one from The Body Shop (i've heard good things about the Vitamin E toner so I might give it a try...). This is a very good price in my opinion, only $11 and The Body Shop often has sales. I haven't noticed this drying out my skin at all but I do use a good moisturizer (h20 plus face oasis hydrating treatment). Overall I love this and I won't be hesitant to purchase again!

This is such a bad product.
It dried out my skin instead of drying out my blemishes, even in places I didn't use it. I don't know what else to say ... it does way more bad than good.
The only reason why this got two lippies is the amount you get for your money and generally the policies The Body Shop has about animals and human rights.

I loved the rest of the Tea Tree line, but this toner was an epic FAIL! It dried out my skin soooo severely, causing me to break out even more! I only used 1/3 of the bottle. Plus, the fact that it has that stange powderish stuff in the bottom is just odd. Would not repurchase and definitely regret buying this!

I really wanted to like this toner, and I used up the entire bottle to give it a full, fair chance. I'm disappointed to say that this did not cut it for me. I had switched over to this one after finishing up my Neutrogena stress control toner, and my skin had been blemish free. I think the problem with this toner is that it did nothing to prevent nor treat blemishes and acne problems, so my already acne prone skin had nothing defending it. I was so sad that my skin had taken 10 steps backward after using this. I don't think that this made my skin worse, it just didn't do anything to help it. It was pretty much just putting green water on my face. I didn't care for the scent either, it just smelled like minty lettuce. Since then, I have switched back to my Neutrogena stress control toner, along with using my new Clarisonic, and my skin is better than ever. Love the Body Shop, did not love this product.

I don't recommend this product to anyone with dry skin. This product goes well with the cleanser but using it'll cause your skin to dry up overtime. Besides all these, thumbs up!

I've been using Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner for a year. I like the tea tree smell whenever I put it on my face. This toner is really good at controlling oil and making my face matte for a few hours (approximately 3-4 hours). However, this toner doesn't help to prevent acne or improve blemish. It stings most of the times, especially when you have zits. I tend to think positive about the stinging parts. I believe that the tea tree is doing its job in clearing bacteria as tea tree is good for its anti-bacterial benefits. Overall I'd continue to use it as I need a toner that can make my face matte and with anti-bacterial benefits.

I bribed my husband into using this for his extremely oily, blackhead clogged skin. He used it for about 2 months with absolutely no results, none. I think the blackheads actually got slightly worse, even though he was actually cleaning his face more often.

This is my first tea tree based toner, and I have to say it's the best toner I have ever used so far. I used to use toners based with salicylic acid and they just didn't do it right for me. I thought I "loved" the clinique clarifying lotion 3 but that made me breakout at certain points, and when it was that "time of the month" I got nasty pimples. I have combo skin - getting very oily around my nose. I have tons of blackheads on my nose, and little whiteheads on my chin but you can barely see them. From time to time I get cystic acne, but since using this toner I haven't gotten any, especially when it was that time of month. Overall this toner does treat existing blemishes, but to a minimum. What it does do is prevent the nasty pimples from surfacing. Since using this toner I notice fewer blackheads (almost none!) and my whiteheads on my chin have reduced drastically (almost invisible).

This is my HG toner. For those negative reviews here, I think it's because this toner wasn't a match for their skin type. If you have oily skin and some blemishes.. this is for you. I actually really like the smell and the minty zing it gives after application gives your face a kick start for the day (especially if you put it on in the morning). I'm already half way though the large bottle... which I agree is quite bulky. but what I do is I actually continuously use it to refill the trial sized one (from the tea tree oil trial sized set... so it is a lot easier to bring around) I know there are concerns that it is just a watered down version of tea tree oil.... but I'd like to think not. Theres the powder that is meant for controlling oil etc. The price isn't bad at all if you buy it during the sales or if you have their beauty card. I definitely will be purchasing this again.

I am surprised of the negative reviews here. I have used a lot of toners and I found this to be one of the best for the acne and oily skin. My skin condition is both, oily and acne prone. I have had all kinds of acne marks and discolorations that have made my skin look dull and terrible. This cleanse very well and the little blackheads and damaged skin get removed to a substantially high degree. I use a Loreal cleanser but in combination with this, my skin looks great and tight. I highly recommend this to people with acne and acne scars because it really helps.

This product is my favorite toner right now:) The price was pretty decent because at the Body Shop, if you purchase 3 products you get 2 for free. The smell is very herbal, I actually enjoy the different scent. This stops you from breaking out, thank goodness for my sensitive acne prone skin. It says this also disinfects your pimples, but your acne won't really disappear. I use this today, and I hope you guys try this product out.

It was generally good with stopping me from breaking out, but my skin imperfections remain and so do my blemishes. But it leaves a nice tingly feeling on your skin. I still think its not worth buying, really isn't as effective as the line claims it to be.

this is an amazing product if you have very oily acne prone skin. I have combo skin and a little acne, it didn't clear up my acne, but it helped my oilyness. I find it very refreshing but it can slightly burn, i looooooove the smell of the whole range of products but i find the lotion very overdrying, but it super controls my shine, althoigh i'd like it a little more moisture, with the toner you feel like spa or something because it smells sooo yummy! i recommend it! i don't like the packaging, it is very hard to open and eventually the powder dries up in the cap, the price is gorgeous for being a TBS product! 4 lippies because of the overdry and packaging, overall very good investement!

Update (08-Apr-2011)
Okay I have up by 1 more lipstick cos this is good and helps to clear my acne and marks. I will buy this over and over again. TBS please do not discontinue this range.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I tired both original and new formula.

I find both are just as good. My skin is combination, acne prone. TTO toner helps to clear up and prevent more outbreak. The new formula has Tamanu oil which helps to healing of skin and the powder help to control the oil. I love to use this toner on newly picked pimples. It helps to calm and heal the skin. I am using the whole range now, the fading night lotion, Foaming cleanser, toner, skin clearing lotion, the mask, TT Oil, the concealer, the makeup wipes.

The pimple marks seems to clear up faster, likewise for new pimples:):) I am so happy. Good time to get is during buy 2 gets 1 free

i love this toner! although it hasn't cleared my acne, it feels very refreshing when applied and dries quickly so i don't have to wait to apply my makeup. although it has alcohol, it has been gentle on my skin. i don't get any burning sensations as you would expect from toners containing alcohol.

This did not work for me. Makes my skin have this burning sensation when I used it and makes my skin redder. ):
Think it's due to the alcohol in it.
