First off, let me start by saying how I usually despise shampoos. Emphasis on despise. I have naturally thick, big, afro-like curly hair that is pretty healthy since I don't ever use heat on it and I don't go crazy with brushing it or messing with it. I don't like how most shampoos make my hair dry and strawlike but tolerate it since I always follow up with conditioner which takes care of that. This shampoo...this is different.

And I'll bet the reason it's so different is because of the freaking amethicone (sp?) in it! If you're ingredient conscious and already know about silicones then know that this is one of them that isn't water soluble. HOWEVER, it really depends on what sort of hair you have because this shampoo has caused no buildup on my scalp that requires clarifying. No lie. I don't know if it'll be the same for everyone, but I will say right off the bat that the one ingredient I'm iffy about in this does absolutely nothing to mess up my hair, so that's cool.

Second...this is the only, the ONLY shampoo/conditioner pairing that I have. I usually buy different shampoos from conditioners, but using this and the matching conditioner really does feel like it makes a difference. Plus, I love the triple nutrition line because it has so many oils and moisturizers in it, as opposed to the other garnier shampoos and conditioners that involve parabens, more silicones, and other ingredients that my hair just doesn't agree with.

Ah! The best part! Alright, this is the only sulfate containing shampoo I've ever tried (and I've tried a lot of them) that DOESN'T dry my hair out and leaves it feeling silky and moisturizing before I get to the conditioner! Holy smokes I'm in love...

If Garnier were to discontinue this/change the formula, I'd probably fall to my hands and knees in the middle of a drugstore sobbing. Now if you're not a broke college student like me who can afford nice organic fancy products, this probably isn't your thing. However, if you want to give your wallet a break and get lovely hair at the same time then try this! I believe it was like, three dollars before tax...?

This shampoo: AMAZING.

For me, this is the best Shampoo / Conditioner. My hair loves it. Over the years, I have tried a variety of shampoos from expensive salon brands like Paul Mitchell, Redken, and even poo's like Organix and Mane 'n Tail. I've spent a lot of money to figure out Garnier was the best for me at this time. The Triple Nutrition line has very few 'cones in 'em, too... which I appreciate. I would freak out if the Triple Nutrition line somehow went discontinued. It's super great!

I use this shampoo along with the conditioner. I only use it on my scalp and protect the length with the conditioner, then rinse and then I use the conditioner again massaging the scalp with my head down and distribute it in all of my hair. Then I make a bun on the top of my head and leave it to rinse in the end of the shower.

It leaves my hair super smooth, shiny, without tangles, lightweight and prevents my ends from damaging. Best routine I find in years, and I've been using Kerastase and Redken products until a couple of months ago, wich are much more expensive and ironically don't leave my hair in such great condition. I think it's from not having silicones in its ingredients.

I switched conditioner a week ago and I definitely noticed the difference.

Awesome product for a very good price!

I use this shampoo in conjunction with the Triple Nutrition Conditioner, it makes my medium to thick, curly, heat damaged hair incredibly soft and shiny and is as good as Kerastase Oleo products. One point off for using SLS in the product. Not sure if its just the shampoo or just the conditioner that makes my hair feel so great but they work well together. Overall, a great shampoo for a great price!

This shampoo is ok. It's affordable and smells good but other than that I don't find it does anything beyond what any other shampoo does. I did not find that it made my hair greasy or oily but I do have very dry, very curly hair and need all the moisture I can get. I did find that the Fructis shampoo and conditioner work better together as opposed to in combination with another brand.

i had such high hopes for this shampoo because it got out this greasy sappiness that pantene left in my hair. i couldn't get it out for the life of me. acv washes, listerine, nothing would budge it and i thought i had a fungal or hormonal issue on my hands. but this and dove anti frizz shampoo helped clean it out after a few washes. i don't have damaged hair but i was afraid this would make my hair oily becaose of the three oils in it. however afterward my hair felt clean and light and didn't get greasy the next day! everythingi wanted. but for some reason the 2-3 wash, it felt like it moisturized my head too much and felt slightly greasy. i guess grease that i could live with (it wasn't a bucket full). but overall it just didn't feel as "clean" as the first time i used it. so i think it was a bit too moisturizing. i recommend for those who have damaged hair and not too oiily of a scalp. also, i noticed my hair falling out. boo!

i guess ill finish up the bottle and see if it the culprit of my hair falling out.

PROS: This is great for my very dry/fine hair.

CONS: Not in love with the whole grapefruit-type smell, but works so well that I'll live with it. ;-) The scent changed into something awful after a while (I like to be able to alternate, so I keep conditioner in my shower a while.)

ALTERNATES: I also like Weightless Conditioning Shampoo by Motions (found in the African American hair section in my Walmart.) Organic Root Stimulator's Olive Oil Shampoo (found in the African-American section at my Walmart) is a bit gentler.

****I used the olive oil version.****

This has become my HG shampoo & conditioner. It doesn't have any silicones, dimethicones, or anything like that. It leaves my hair very soft, somewhat less frizzy, and manageable. I blow dry and straighten my hair often and it is color treated and I keep coming back to this shampoo & conditioner. It smells pretty good too.

I was pretty surprised at the results I got from using this for a couple days. My HG shampoo and conditioner is L'Oreal Vive, but it's so difficult to find that I've been on the hunt for something comparable and more widely available. I picked up the Triple Nutrition shampoo and conditioner at Target for around $2.50 each, and both came with a free travel size bottle as well. My hair is fine (but I have a lot of it) and a little on the dry side, so I need hair products that help put the moisture back in my hair without weighing it down. So far, this shampoo has been great. It's not drying or stripping, but not heavy, either. It cleans my hair very well without making my hair feel brittle and dry like other shampoos will do. My hair feels soft and managable after shampooing, even without conditioner. My only two complaints are that it does take a little longer than normal to wash out. Another reviewer mentioned that if you don't completely rinse, this shampoo can leave your hair feeling greasy, so I'm very careful to make sure my hair is completely rinsed. I also wish the packaging was little easier to open. Besides those two minor complaints, I was overall very happy with the results I got from this shampoo. Definitely will repurchase (as long as build-up isn't a problem).

Edit: I'm almost halfway through the bottle and still loving this shampoo. I have yet to experience any buildup, and my hair feels better and better the longer I use this. One thing I have learned, however, is you don't need as much shampoo as you think. I use a half-dollar size amount, and that's more than enough to work up a rich lather and fully clean my hair.

I love everything about Garnier Fructis, but it doesn't deliver as fully as I'd like it to. True, it does make my hair very smooth and shiny and easy to manage, but in terms of the long-run, it doesn't make my hair stronger. It doesn't protect or mend split ends in my opinion. Other than that, though, it's pretty awesome.

I've been using this shampoo for about a week and a half, and it's made my hair so soft and silky. I straighten my hair daily (terrible, I know) and lately it's been approaching the straw-like mess that it gets to after a while. After using this shampoo I've definitely noticed a difference in my hair's overall strength and appearance. The ends don't look at fried and it's very shiny, it just looks so much better.
The only cons are the packaging (I can do without the little ball on top of their bottles because it's so hard to open in the shower) and how slow it is to lather. I feel like I have to scrub my head in order to lather it up, which can be damaging to the scalp and induce frizz. It helps to lather it a little in your hands first, and once it rinses out my hair already feels very smooth.
The cons are not enough to keep me from purchasing this shampoo, I really like it and would buy it again.

Garnier really stepped up their game with this product, every other shampoo by them I've ever tried has been well, crap. I am a sucker for the smell tho, so I thought "well you never know.." when this came out and gave it a try. Glad I did! This is my go-too now, even over salon brands I've tried. I don't use it in combination with the conditoner tho, i use the damage Repair one which i find works better than the one from this line, but the shampoo is ace. Makes me hair sift and shinny, doesn't feel wirey after I wash it out, and yeah, good stuff. Have re-bought a few times now, price isn't bad either, the 750ml bottle goes for 6$ at Super Store, the little ones for like 2 bucks.

This shampoo is Not amazing by itself, but works Wonders in combination with the conditioner. I add oil to this shampoo because I personally think it leaves my hair a little wirey & tangled. But my scalp & hair are always clean & thats what really matters. Because I can just slip on teh conditioner & my hair is just beautifully soft again!

I Love It! <3

I love this line. It's so good for a drug store brand, and it's the only stuff I like to use from Garnier. It makes my hair so soft & silky and extremely shiny. It's really great. Really good stuff.

I don't have damaged or over processed hair, but this said it provides moisture while keeping hair bouncy, which is what I need. I find that moisturizing shampoos & conditioners weight my curls down and make them limpy (so take that all the hairdressers that say I need hydrating or super hydrating s&c!).

I used this for about.. three weeks straight, then stopped. Then started up again, for about two-three weeks & stopped again. The first time it was just average. My hair didn't feel or look better, but it definitely wasn't worse. The most recent time, it makes my hair noticeably softer than it already is, slightly shinier, and even silky, plus it didn't weight my hair down. I don't doubt that this would do damaged hair good, but it didn't control my frizz, which my hair definitely needs. For this reason, I stopped using it & will not repurchase, BUT it's a good buy.

I have thick, frizzy, curly hair (3a/b, medium texture).

I love this shampoo, I've only used it once and already I was really pleased . At first it was kind of hard for me to get it into a lather, it was really stiff applying it to my hair but when I rinsed it out, wow it left my hair so soft and silky. I barely bought this product yesterday along with the conditioner and the 3 minute thing as well. I hope over time they will leave my hair looking how I want it =] But so far so good.

I have to say that I am pretty pleased with the ingredients and performance of this product. It works as well as more expensive brands and gets the job done. FYI, my hair is pretty thick and can be unruly. This tames my hair very well. It makes it extremely silky and touchable. I used this after coloring my hair and although my hair color was drying, this saved the day. I will repurchase this for sure.

I really needed something that would make my hair look and feel healthy again. It just looked very lackluster from all of the straightening and curling it endures. I heard from a friend that this product was good, and I absolutely love it! I was slightly concerned about it making my hair greasy because it is made of three oils, but it didn't in the slightest! My hair, especially the underside which was the most damaged, has improved so much after just a few uses! I just spray it on after I shower, concentrating on the areas that need it most. I haven't tried it on dry hair yet, thought it says that you can. I like the smell too.. it's not as powerful as the traditional Garnier smell that we're all familiar with. It's much more subtle, which is nice. I will definitely buy this again!

I decided to try this recently because my hair was left in bad shape, ironically by Garnier's new Herba Shine hair color, and along with the conditioner, it has restored my hair to its former state. These products in tandem have made my hair soft and manageable again. This is a rich formula which works very well for my thick, coarse, straight hair, so I will probably add this to my regular rotation along with Garnier's 2-in-1 and Sleek & Smooth, even after the color fades away & I'm able to restore it with a better product like Clairol or L'Oreal.

OK so I had the horrible idea of bleaching my hair a few years ago. Since then my hair has not been the same. I am growing it out but have tried many mosterizing products with little success.

So I got the garnier triple nutrion products and they worked great! I could comb through my hair easily for once!

But I noticed my hair got greasy very quicky after- I wash my hair every 2 days and with this I would need to wash it everyday. So I found a different shampoo (aussie volumizing) and I use the garnier conditioner. So far is has been a great combo- my hair is not weighed down but still shiny, soft and easy to comb!!

I tried the dryness reversal treatment from ths line, and it just makes my hair greasy....we can skip it too....

My verdict is to scrap this shampoo and stick with the conditioner. I really think that is the conditioner that is working wonders here, not the shampoo!
