Too clumpy. Doesn't seem any better than any other mascara I tried. Wish that at least the blackened ruby came in waterproof (at least it didn't when I purchased, and I'm not purchasing again).

Waste of money.

I'm surprised at what bad reviews this mascara has gotten! I mean I wouldn't buy it again, but I didn't think it was the worst thing ever... Revlon tried, you know? Mixing the whole brush/bristle thing was a good idea but it just didn't work out. Too many clumps.

This is pretty much the worst mascara I've ever used- from the brush, to the liquid consistency, to the size of the tube. Maybe i'm using it wrong- but when i pull the wand out- there is still a huge clump of masaca on the tip and all around the "empty" surfaces. The wand is made up of alternating rows of flexible bristles (like a regular wand) and rows of semi-fixed plastic bristles with pointy tips. i actually don't know the purpose of having 2 types of bristles... and what effect i would get if i applied the mascara using one or the other.
however, like i said, there is so much excess mascara liquid on the wand, that the bristles can't even really do their magic and my lashes are already "wet" before the bristles can comb them out.

This mascara is so, so horrible! I was sooooo excited about getting it...the double twist wand brush thing looked so cool! But the formula is horribly stiff and dry...the brush does nothing but create dusty little clumps everywhere! And plus it was flaky :(

This is a very disappointing mascara. Just when you're getting your lashes to look nice the red part of the wand gets in the way and messes everything up. I am very disappointed and really regret spending the money on it, even though it was fairly inexpensive. ($8.99)

This product still holds the top spot for the worst mascara I have ever had the displeasure of using. The brush is big, wiry, and cumbersome to use. Forget the "double twist" gimmick -- it fails on every level and delivers nothing but clumpy, gunky lashes. I could feel this product on my lashes all day. All I could think about was wiping it off the second I walked out the office door at 5:00. Both tubes went straight into the trash after two uses!

This is the absolute worst mascara I've ever tried.

The brush is ridiculous. It's too big and too awkward to use; it's nearly as big as the entire eye. The product globs on and as with every other terrible Revlon mascara I've used, dries into disgusting clumps.

The only positive is the color. I got blackened ruby and it is a very nice color, but I'm never again using Revlon mascara.

Just goes to show you should never believe a product's claims! At first I was sure I'd done something wrong - How could there possibly be THAT many clumps on the brush?! But sadly, no, that's just one of the features this mascara comes with. My lashes look natural with this; almost like I wasn't wearing mascara at all. All it does is darken them. If you wipe the clumps off the brush before applying, the result is wearable - but nothing worth spending money on!

I got this mascara at CVS simply because I had a coupon for it and it was in a 2 for 1 package. I basically ended up paying about 5 bucks for 2 tubes of it, so I figured it was worth a shot. The first day I used it I was very happy. I liked the look of the tube, the wand was nice (red, made of silicon or something, not like most other mascaras) and the top of the tube was designed so that when you remove the wand it scrapes off excess mascara. It went on nicely and defined my lashes well. My first problem with this product came up when I went to wash my face that night. It was extremely difficult to wash off. I even double checked the tube to make sure I had not purchased the waterproof version. I normally don't need to use a separate eye make up remover for mascara but I had to break out my Pond's cold cream to get this stuff to budge. Even after I used the Pond's and washed my face twice I still had residue under my eyes and along my top lash line. Over the next few days I noticed that every time I would open the mascara tube that the wand was getting more and more clumpy with mascara. So much for that specially designed tube that scrapes off the excess. So, with all of that excess mascara on the wand I was ending up with lots of clumps on my lashes when I was applying it. Even worse, about 2 hours later I was washing my hands in the bathroom and happened to look up and see tons of those lovely little black mascara flakes under my eyes and along my cheek bones. I threw the tube out that very day. A few days ago I came across the second tube of it (remember it came in a 2 for 1 package) while cleaning my room. I decided to give Revlon the benefit of the doubt and try it again. Who knows, maybe the first tube was a fluke or came from a bad batch. Nope. I had the exact same problems with the second tube. I threw it away after only 1 use. Bummer!

I wouldn't buy this product again, In fact the first time I bought it I could hardly get past the first use. I have long eyelashes as it is, and the applicator brush made it very awkward to apply. It put too much product on the lashes and the brush didn't aid in application, it made things worse. I would not buy this again, and wish I hadnt in the first place.

For the record, I already have long lengthy lashes. I need a mascara that won't clump them together and, most importantly, can add volume.

DoubleTwist lengthened my lashes a little bit, but it looked so natural I had to layer on three or four coats for noticeable results....which then resided in major clumping.

As for color pay-off, even in "Blackest Black", my lashes looked normal. I couldn't tell a huge difference between my natural eye lash color and the mascara color.

Also I know some people have an issue with clumping, but for me that wasn't much of a problem. I started from the lash line and wiggled the brush throughout my lashes, and they ended up being fine.

All in all, I think this is a decent product. It has good staying power, and it did darken my lashes, but frankly there's better out there. I feel as if $7.48 for a Walmart price tag is too stiff. This mascara isn't really all that it's hyped up to be.

eww this mascara was just DISGUSTING! it has two types of bristles on it one for volumnzing and the other for lengtheing & its just too hard to apply you have to rool it around your eyelashes to get the full affect its supposed to. It might have been a good idea but it didnt follow throught. also. wayyy too clumpy! DON'T BUY!!

This product is awful. Seriously, don't buy it. It clumps, its really thick, it smears. Don't bother. The packaging looks pretty and it is paraben free, but this is terrrible.

Though I must agree with all the negative reviews, there are a few simple things that I do that can make this mascara somewhat 'work'. I didn't know it would be so bad, I bought the package with a bonus one, so I tried to make this mascara work.
Yes the brush is terrible, it comes with waaay too much product in the end, and for some reason, at one point it got really bent which made the product even harder to apply.
BUT when I wipe off all the excess, and only use the non-rubbery and more brush-like part, it works well for me. It makes my lashes longer and adds volume and makes them look like false lashes, which I like, but it also takes forever to apply this stuff.
SO, in the end, the cons outweigh the pros and I will not buy again.

I got this mascara in a two for one special at target and it really sucks because this mascara was pretty bad it was really watery and the brush didn't do much but I think what was wrong with this mascara was the formula it was so watery it just weighed down my lashes no matter how much I curled them. Would not reccomend

i actually liked this mascara i think i might be the only one though lol
i have this thing where i only like mascara after a couple weeks i dont know i guess i like dryed up mascara wierd i know but i do i hate when its super runny. with this mascara i was very pleased that the formula was that 2 week old mascara that i love w out waiting for it. the brush was at first questionable it was difficult to get into the bottle but once in it was good it gave me thick long lashes and it dryed up quickly i hate when mascara feels wet all day. i do know that i normally disagree w people on mascara i must have intresting lashes because i hated the dior show and l'oreal volumous which both seem to be populuar i hate wispy lashes so if u also hate those two we prob have the same taste in mascara and i highly recommend this one. as for price meh not cheap not expensive but its worth it
