I really like how much coverage the product gives, but over all this is a really bad product. The foundation makes my skin extremely oily and makes me break out really bad with tiny pimples all over my face. DEFINITELY would NOT recommend this foundation to anyone, unless you want a face full of grease and acne.

This foundation goes on smooth it's easy to blend has good coverage and makes skin look perfect BUT it's definitely better suited for people with normal to dry skin therefore not a good choice for oily skin girls like me lol *sigh* and my search for the perfect foundation continues...

I went back to this foundation after trying the Dream Mousse and having a major acne reaction! I tried a few other foundation brands with no success. I am happy to be back using the Dream Liquid Mousse. It doesn't cause me to break-out, and the coverage is perfect. It doesn't cake and separate on my oily skin the way some foundations do. It also does a good job of controlling my oily skin...my face still looks matte at the end of the day.

The first thing I noticed about this foundation is the colors are way darker than advertised. I purchased Classic Ivory and it looks like i'm wearing a mask. I don't even think the lightest color would be light enough and my skin isn't even that pale! The most disappointing aspect of this foundation is that it doesn't "set." Even with a loose powder over it, it rubs right off so heaven help you if anything touches your face because you'll be left with a streak. The only positive thing I could find about this product is that it does cover well, and it does seem to make my pores look smaller and it isn't too thick or too thin so it's easy to blend all over your face and down your neck.

FYI: I am a Latina woman with very fair olive skin, combination type (dry forehead, oily nose & chin, normal cheeks) in early maturity (minor facial lines, redness). Shade refs: LM Creme Silk in Cream Ivory, Bobbi Brown in Warm Ivory, Revlon Colorstay in Buff
FYI (2): Maybelline tests its products on live animals. For this reason, I have ceased purchasing their products. This review refers to product use prior to my awareness of their animal testing status.
I used this product in Classic Ivory, and it was a bit too dark for my fair olive skin. Colors run dark; I've used Classic Ivory in other Maybelline foundations.
I applied with a stippling brush and it left a gorgeous, smooth finish. Coverage = heavy medium. Product broke me out (minor acne) from Day 1 of use. Ceased use after three days, and skin cleared immediately.

UPDATE: I have just seen some photos where I'm wearing this. Although it looked fine on my face in the mirror, in the pictures my face looks a different colour from my neck - a bit darker and slightly orange. So disappointing as the fairer shades are too pink for me and I love everything else about this foundation. Embarrassed that I've been happily wearing this for so long - oops
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have just repurchased this (in Nude Light (4)). I love the velvety finish and it glides on easily (I use a brush and my fingers) even over my dry and sometimes flakey skin. It really evens out my skin tone and doesn't accentuate the dryness. It has decent staying power and feels nice and light to wear (I hate that heavy make-up feeling on my face). It also doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. I have used more expensive foundations and while the colour match and staying power aren't as good with this one, it is great value for money and wears well on my dry skin. About the colour - when I swatch it on the inside of my wrist, it looks too dark and a bit orange, but on my face it seems to work. This is a good value, really wearable foundation.

So recently i have been on the search for the perfect foundation which gives me a good dewy finish making my skin look more natural and flawless.
So i recently purchased this and it is soo good! A little goes a long way for sheer coverage but if you apply a dime size you get medium coverage. It give me a very great dewy finish but not to the point where it is greasy. It is so perfect for my college when i need quick, quick, quick.
It blends nicely but its a little too thick...but i still love it...
Its great for all skin types and anyone who want a good natural dewy coverage..

My main problem with maybelline is the limited colours, but when you weigh up the price it is quite a good deal (if you know your colour that is.)
I also found that it takes a while for the colour to settle, so once you have squirted it from the bottle it needs a moment to settle and then apply to your face.
Not the best, but not the worst foundation on the market :)

I love the fact that this has a pump. The finish on this foundation is dewy, but no too dewy. I have dry/combination skin and this works wonderfully.
I also can build this foundation very well- just be sure to blend!
I usually use this foundation with Hard Candy's translucent primer and it works great.
I prefer this to Revlon's Color Stay foundation, it doesn't feel like a mask on my face and is very comfortable to wear all day.

I'm fairly new to makeup, and this is the first liquid makeup. My t-zone is fairly oily, and the rest of my face can sometimes get dry. The foundation is greasy on my t-zone, but it looks nice on my dry areas. If I put powder over it, it takes away the greasiness. The coverage it okay. I have pretty bad acne scars, and it covers up the lighter ones, but not the darker. I can't really tell if it's buildable because the more I add, the greasier it looks, so I try not to put too much on. I really do like the pump on the packaging. It prevents you from taking to much product, which I like. Overall, the product it okay. I'd probably buy it again.

This is the first ever liquid foundation I have used for daily wear. I never used to wear makeup, except for dance performances. I cleared up my acne but I still have quite a bit of scarring. I have combination skin and it makes my dry spots look nice but the oily parts of my skin do get quite greasy if I do not set it with a powder. It's not great, but it's not terrible. It does cover up some of my scarring, but it doesn't really cover any of my active breakouts.

Greasy. I have oily skin so for me it's pretty normal to get oil break through after a couple hours but with this as soon as I put it on grease ball. After I powder my face it still looks semi matte but after an hour or so it gets greasy again. I have used m.o.m. under it hd powder on top and same results I even mixed it with a matte foundation still the same. I like the pump and glass bottle, even the color match, but def. wouldnt repurchase.

While I do enjoy this foundation, I do NOT recommend it to ladies with very dry skin. My skin only gets dry certain times of the year, or when I switch up my skincare routine. It has good coverage and is easy to apply, but I find I have to apply so much! It takes me around 3 pumps to cover my entire face, and I'm going for the lightest coverage possible! I don't think a person who uses foundation everyday would be happy with that. As for staying power, it lasted all day on me, as I don't have oily skin and can't speak for those who do. I noticed it clung to some dry spots on my fore head, it wasn't a huge problem that mixing it with moisturizer couldn't fix, but I don't see this working for people with dry skin around their nose or cheeks. I'm a fan of the packaging especially, the pump makes it so easy to use and tote around, but the actual product itself could be improved for those with dry skin or people with specific coverage needs.

As with pretty much every drugstore foundation I have ever bought this turned me orange and sunk into my pores!. I have tried so many I have a medium skin tone medium to medium beige in bare minerals (which I do love just expensive to replenish) that's why I have been trying drugstore brands and this looked great colour in the bottle but was fooled again!. It went on evenly and my skin looked flawless (for an hour) then checked in the mirror it was patchy had sunk in my pores and had oxidised badly. I thought as years have gone by they would have improved the shades. I've given up with them now rather spend extra on my bare minerals and be flawless and even toned all day.

This foundation is waay too thick to apply nicely on your face. It's quite hard to blend and leaves my face looking bloutchy. It also has such a powdery finish, didn't really like this product and its finish.

I have been trying to go all natural with my makeup, but with no natural foundation under my belt that made me 100% happy and a wedding coming up I had to venture back into non natural foundations. I have tried the Dream Matte Mousse which gave excellent coverage but didn't sit well on my skin, so I decided to try the liquid instead. I've had this one for a few days and here are my initial thoughts.
I am very fair and there are two fair options. Porcelain Ivory which is the fairest has a pink tint and Classic Ivory which is a bit darker but warmer. I have the great fortune of being extremely pale with warm undertones so as usual this creates a bit of a dilemma for me. Porcelain Ivory is light enough, but would make my face look red. Classic Ivory is the right undertones, but is a shade too dark. I decided to try Classic Ivory. I apply with a stippling brush and rub in circles until the application is smoothed out and this works well. I then apply mattifying finishing powder.
First of all, it does give a nice finish. It evens out the skin well and does have an airbrushed look to it similar to the Dream Matte Mousse which I liked so much. At first it looked significantly darker and orange-y, but once it set and I had finishing powder on the color improved and looked much better. It's still a bit too dark for me but it's passable. I will most likely purchase the Porcelain Ivory and add a drop in to the Classic Ivory lighten it.
One of the other reasons I picked this was because it appeared to have no sun screen added. For photos at the wedding I want something without sunscreen because it will bounce light off my face which will wash me out even more than I already am (I am extremely fair skinned!) and make me look shiny. However, I have noticed that it has a touch of luminescence to it that looks oily very quickly. I am not using a mattifying primer and will try that to try to make this work. The ultimate test will be taking some photos with it on to see if the coverage looks as good in a photo as it does in real life. I often find that in photos it looks like I am not wearing foundation for some reason. Perhaps this has to do with the way light bounces off my very fair skin, I am not sure. It also hasn't helped with covering my large pores on my cheeks and the shininess actually makes it look worse. Hopefully this can also be corrected with a good primer.
OVERALL:
PROS:
- Reasonably priced and easy to find
- Good packaging with a pump
- Good coverage
- No sun screen, better for photos
CONS:
- Hard to match with warm fair skin tones
- Looks a little shiny on oily skin

I am around an NC30 purchased sandy beige medium 1.
combo skin (oily tzone)
I first tried it without a primer because I was out.
I hated it with a passion.
It wasnt until i used it with smashbox photo finish primer that i absolutely fell in love.
i advise using a primer at all times with this foundation.
the coverage = medium, can lead to full coverage.
finish= satin, smooth and flawless with the help of primer of course.
if you want ultimate staying power set with a light dusting of powder and set with UD All Nighter setting spray.
I tested this in AZ heat outside at the zoo walking for hours and my foundation had little shine
