Most of the coastal scents brushes that I have are quite poor quality, I wouldn't recommend ordering from them, you may want to because the selection is good and so is the price, but the quality is meh. I don't use most of them. I pulled this one out when my everyday minerals flat top was dirty, it was pretty good at applying mineral foundation. But it sheds a lot after washing. I would not rebuy.

EDIT: I've had this brush for a long time, bought it last year and the thing still smells horribly when I wash it. It makes me not want to use it on my face and it just takes up space in my makeup drawer.
Coastal scents screens the reviews on their site, I leave bad reviews and never get posted, that not good customer service.

This brush is super-soft; I'd like it to be just a tad stiffer for mineral makeup application, but overall, I love it. Plus, it's cute!

Well I gave this two stars solely because it's a good deal for what you get. It was marvelous for the first month or so, very little shedding. It's now February and I've had it since November and it sheds like crazy. .. Little annoying hairs sticking to my face, grr! I think either I got a bad one or the gals saying this thing doesn't shed haven't had it for long.

This was smaller than I had expected, but for 5 bucks a pop it was worth it. I just HAD to get it because it was pink, and because I wasn't happy with my current kabuki. It's pretty soft, but not SUPER soft. I don't notice any smell and it hasn't shed. Overall, a good kabuki for the price. I would repurchase.

I thought this kabuki brush looked cute and I needed one so I bought it. Also because a lot of youtubers was raving about it.. can't see what rave is all about to be honest!

The only thing positive about this is that it doesn't shed, it doesn't smell when washed and its cheap.

Cons: its too rough and feels scratchy for my skin.

I'm investing on the toofaced retractable kabuki brush.

Good stuff:
Doesn't shed (at least mine doesn't)
Synthetic bristles
Pink and cute!
A cheapie

Bad stuff:
Not THAT soft
Takes forever to dry

I use this brush once in a rare while for buffing liquid foundation (when I choose to use it). Not that great a brush, but not a bad buy either.

I didn't buy this because of its cuteness or anything like it. I bought it because it was recommended by MakeupGeek. (Check out her Youtube channel) She uses it for many things. I've really tried to like it but I can really make do without this brush. Comparing it to my other kabuki, I would say that this isn't dense enough to apply minerals. The bristles are scratchy and the sides frayed a lot! It's really fluffy but I do reshape it after washing. I don't have a problem with it shedding though. I guess because I washed it before using it. I tried using it to apply blush but it didn't pick up powder well. I wouldn't repurchase or recommend this brush. Maybe I'll keep this brush in my makeup pouch for touch ups? Hate this.

This is pretty similar to Bare Minerals. It's scratchy, but so is Bare Minerals. So it's not going to be as soft as a Mac one. But if you don't want to spend $50 on a kabuki, this is THE one to get. It's so inexpensive and works just as well as Bare Minerals. I'm not sure if I'll ever invest in the MAC one. Maybe some day :) MakeupGeek reccomended this and she won't steer you wrong. Another option to try is their flat top Italian bronzer which I heard is very soft. I just got the Everyday Minerals flat top brush ($10.00) and it's wonderful. So if you want a very soft brush, I would go with those two if you don't want to spend a lot.

I admit... I got it because it was pink and cute, but mostly because it was cheap ($4.99). It does smell a bit and after a couple of washings it went away. I did not have any problems with it shedding. During initial washings I did lose a couple of hairs. The water ran clear during its first washing. Even during application the hairs stayed on the brush.

The base is metal (which is always nice), but I feel it was a bit small to grip. I have large hands and that could be the problem.

The application was pretty good. It did pickup my MMU quite well and applied it evenly. Although, the brush itself isn't as dense and the bristles are soft but a bit prickly.

Overall it's pretty decent brush for its price, and it gets the job done, decently. I wouldn't buy this again, knowing there are other brushes that are softer. Yet, I'd recommend this brush for people who need a kabuki but don't want to spend a lot of cash on one. If you're willing to put in the extra cash (but still on a budget), then I recommend Posh or Essence of Beauty.

It's cute, it's pink, it's small. The handle is not as wide as I'd like it to be, therefore, it's really not that dense if you look at the hair to handle ratio. But it's very soft and cute. Maybe I haven't used it enough yet, but mine has yet to shed and I've had it for two months already. I like to use it to buff out my cosmetic errors or do a very sheer application of mineral make up, but it's not nearly dense enough to provide the coverage I want. I'll update if this sheds as much as everybody says it does, but for now, it's cheap and soft and I like it.

This worked fine the first month or two, but it is now shedding horribly. Tiny little hairs all over my face. They stick to my eyelashes too. Ugh. I am going to try Everyday Minerals long kabuki brush next.

I love this brush! I find it is very dense. I use it to apply sheer face powder and blush every day. It works great. It's so cute, too! I haven't had any problems with shedding, and I use it daily. I highly recommend it!

***EDITED on 5/12/12: This brush fell apart a few months after I bought it. Deducted 3 lippies. Use the Eco-Tools kabuki. MUCH better.

Ok, this is the SOFTEST kabuki ever!
And you just cannot beat the price of $5. Other mineral makeup companies sell this kabuki for $10 or $15, but $5? Wow.
I've washed this several times and only one or two hairs have shedded, and it is still as soft as ever. And it is just too adorable. :)

I love it! *hugs*

*EDIT*- This thing sheds like CRAZY. I cannot use it anymore without having hairs all over my face. Also, it is not dense enough. Not dense at all, in fact.
*sigh* I don't know why I liked it to begin with. I think it was because it's pink.
