I usually stick to dark, vampy shades, as I have a very olive-yellow skin tone, and this totally piques my curiosity. When I first bought it at Ulta, the cashier completely gushed on how fashionable this shade was, and I couldn't help but agree. You could wear this color to school, work, and out at night without it not fitting in. I'm holding back the need to take off my Do You Lilac It? and putting this baby on! Looks great on tan and darker skin tones as well, just an all-around fabulous color!

I was looking for another nail colour besides Tickle-my-francey to wear to work because Tickle is the only nail colour I've been wearing for months. I needed something similar, which safe but great for after-work hours and so I visited MUA hoping to get some ideas.

YDKJ is one of the more popular colours from OPI and the photos looked great. I bought it yesterday and applied it. The colour is turned out darker than in the photos. The colour is interesting as it is a mix of deep taupe, with brown, grey and purple. It looked more brown-purple on my fair skintone, especially indoors. I expected more from the hype here, but then again it took me some time to fall in love with Tickle my francey which is now one of my staple colours. I am giving more time to warm up to this colour. It does look chic but i can see how some people think it looks dirty and muddy.

Edit: As unique as the colour may be, I will not be using this again as it doesn't suit me. I do enjoy the glossy finished look, but the colour is not for me. I have given this to my sister.

Edit: I saw this colour on someone else and I thought it looked nice, so I tried it on myself again. I have since taken back the bottle from my sister because this polish needs time falling in love with! If there is an haute couture for polishes, this would be it because not everyone will like it, some may find it weird, but it is an "acquired" taste.

I like the cement trend very much, but this is a very average example of it. I wanted to love it, but it kinda looked dull and uninteresting. I like colors that have a bit of a secret to them, like an unexpected tint etc. The only thing that makes this not a complete bore is the cement-on-nails phenomenon itself.

This is one of my all time favorite nail polishes. I go through about 2 bottles a year, which is alot for me, and considering how long a bottle lasts. I love this because this seems like a great color for all seasons. It is so chic. Not to mention I love the name!

I really am liking this one! Every-time I go to the store, this one always seems to be sold out so it must be pretty popular. It reminds me a little of Rimmel's Steel Grey but more brown in colour than purple. I would describe this shade as a mousy taupe/brown. It applies evenly with two coats and it lasts very well with no top-coat. Not streaky and dries quick too. Quite flattering, but can sometimes look a little on the black side. May be a little too bold for lighter skin-tones though.

By far one of my FAVORITE np to date. Like others have mentioned, it is a very sophisticated color (grey and khaki got together and had a baby). I get so many compliments on this color because it is so unique and different, not like your usual reds, purples, pinks, etc. Overall...LOVE!

I'm surprised at how much I LOVE this color! I wouldn't normally have considered myself a fan of brown nail polish, because it just doesn't sound all that pretty, but once on it's GREAT! I like OPI, the only downside is I don't like the shape of the bottle. With the smallest part of the bottle being on the bottom, I always feel like I'm about it knock it over when I'm wiping excess off of the brush.

I love this - One of the most sexy and sophisticated polishes I own. Can't stop looking at my nails.
I applied 2 coats, but a little while later needed to apply a third to get a dark, even, creamy finish.
The colour is hard for me to describe - but other reviewers have done a good job below.
I have long blonde hair and normally go for pretty colours - but this is just so egdy and I thinks looks great with my colouring.
Will be buying this again for sure. Plus I just love the name x

I love this shade in the regular formula!! (not suede or matte) I had been looking for this for awhile & finally was able to snatch it up & I am so glad I did! It is a beautiful gray toned that looks good on pretty much all skin tones, in my opinion. I would continue to repurchase once my bottle is empty. The pictures on here are pretty accurate. I recommend this beautiful cream gray toned color.

Great grey toned neutral - actually had a slightly khaki look to it on me in certain lights. Applied like a dream, and lasted for well over a week with no chips - only took it off because I fancied something a little more colourful for the nice weather!

I can't believe I've only just discovered this color, but I love, love, love it. It's sexier than most neutrals, and doesn't look sad & washed out like some plum/taupe/greige shades do against my pale skin. I feel like it's a little edgy, but not so edgy that my grandmother would object to the color. :) Perfect with jeans, classy for work. I keep staring down at my hands! It's spring and usually I wouldn't wear something so dark this time of year, but this shade breaks seasonal boundaries.

I love this colour! You Don't Know Jacques! is a great dark neutral, it's nice sophisticated and goes with every outfit (unless you're wearing some insane 80's tight n bright getup)! I got quite a few compliments on my nails when I wore this, and this colour deserved it! Once I wore it with Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Strips in Cut It Out on both my point fingers and it looked even more gorgeous! If I ever run out, obvious repurchase.

I love this color! You can apply one or two coats and get beautiful color either way! Just depends if you want a deeper brown or a lighter brown. Either one really looks nice. This is one of my all time favorite fall/winter colors. Will 100% repurchase when I run out.

I had a friend of mine pick this up from a beauty supply store with her discount (so I know it's legit). But for me, this has been one of the hardest polishes to apply. It was extremely streaky. I was looking back through the reviews, and no one else really complains of this. So maybe I got a bad batch. As far as the color goes, it's a grey/brown that seems to lean (for me at least) more brown than grey. I thnk the color looks good with my skintone, though I don't actually like it very much.

I said that I wouldn't repurchase mainly because I just don't really know how much I like it and because of the streaky application.

I just applied it right now and oh it's such a pretty colour. I've had it for a short while and I've got to say that it's fast becoming my favourite polish. It's an unusual grey brown that is extremelt flattering, which you wouldn't really expect it to be. It resembles muddy clay in the bottle but on the hands, it's really something. I have a couple of minor gripes with it, as I find the formula to be a little sheer when it first goes on. I need at least three coats to build up a good solid colour, but that I can live with. The other is not so much a gripe but a concern as the only other OPI polish I own (Party in my Cabana), went gloopy and thick on me incredibly quickly and put me off buying any others. I'm glad I bit the bullet and bought You don't know Jacques, but I'm hoping to dear god it doesn't go gloopy on me because I prefer my nail polish formulations thin.I'll keep you updated on that front.

Overall, love it, it's glorious and everyone should have it.

Oh OPI, you really know the way to a girl's heart! This is perhaps one of my fave polishes...EVER! (Believe me, this is a bold statement - I'm enamored with OPI and have a bazillion colours...or at least that's what my fiancée says!) Definitely top 5 material, anyway.

On my skin tone, Jacques comes up looking like a deep grey with plum undertones. In some lighting it also has a brown tone to it. I find it to be very opaque with a subtle sheen, and flawless after two coats. This is OPI's usual quality formula, streak-free and generally chip-resistant for at least 5 days (without top or bottom coat, no less). I wear this to a professional-environment day job, and also out in the evenings...hugely versatile!

I will most certainly repurchase, and give as gifts.

This is the best taupe nail color I've found! There really isn't much I can say about this, it's super cool and I see it all the time. Would recommend to anyone.
