We all have out areas of snobbiness, whether it me coffee, makeup, or fragrances. I have recently criticized BBW's scents as being too fruity or foody. During the semi-annual sale in June, I had a chance to smell the Rainkissed Leaves scent. What an apt name for the sublime scent. It is very difficult to use words to describe this fragrance. When you smell it, you are really reminded of a gentle summer rain on a hot humid day and the aftermath in a forest-the smell of the water and the leaves and the indescribable scent of rain. You know how it smells some days just before it is going to rain? It is an earthy scent.
I also noted a little citrus in the blend along with musk. If you remember a scent from the past called China Rain, then you may smell this, too. The price is right but I am a little disappointed in the lasting quality because this fades very quickly. I would anchor this with the body lotion in order to make the scent last longer. I hope that this scent is not discontinued because it truly is a beautiful find.

This is one of the lightest, freshest green scents I've ever tried! Normally I tend to go for deeper fragrances with more Oriental notes, but I'm absolutely in love with this. It's the scent for me when I want to smell fresh and clean without smelling soapy. I have the small body lotion and body spray, and I'm going back to purchase the shower gel and EDT.
EDIT: I went to the store and tried the EDT, and all I can say is blech! It didn't work on my skin at all. I'm *so* disappointed! I was hoping it would smell like the body splash, but it doesn't. And I would repurchase the body splash if it had more lasting power, but I guess for now I have to make do with my little lotion.:(

When I was shopping at bath & body works, about a month ago, I found this mini lotion for a dollar at the cash register. I decided to try it at home, even though I didn't have any hopes for it to be one of my favorites. When I rubbed it in my skin after a shower, this beautiful, absolutely gourgeous scent surrounded the entire room. I was so suprised becuase even though I like B&BW as a store where I purchase my shower gels and soaps, I never actually thought they'd come up with a master-piece worth buying a full EDT bottle as a summer scent! I have never been a fun of green-leafy-fresh scents before, but since I discovered rainkissed leaves and a few others this summer, I am absolutely loving it. It also reminds me of Calamus by Comme Des Garcons, which I am totally crazy about. Even though I own a big collection of perfume, and am a crazy perfumista - these two: Calamus and Rainkissed leaves have won my heart. They are both lush, dewy, fresh, green scents - but they share this unusual sligtly sweet note. You know how You smell a real leaf and sometimes it has that dewy-sweet aroma? That's what I find in those two scents and that makes them both very special to me.

This is very nice...smells like fresh cut grass or watermelon rind...very fresh and didn't turn on me!!!!! It seems as if everything from BBW goes on nice but starts smelling bad after about 30 minutes, on ME that is. This did not! If anything maybe it faded away too soon. I think this is my favorite BBW scent so far! In the past I only used their shower gels which I LOVE!!!! Stock up during sales for about $3 a bottle and takes just a small amount to shower!

Fresh, clean, scent! Several of the Bath & Body Works lines have a generically-cheap, 'young' fragrance, but this one is an exception. I agree that it's reminiscent of Issey Miyake. It's also redolent of vintage "Grass" line, which the GAP purchased from a boutique perfumer "Mottura".
The only downside is it's ephemeral quality -- I wish it was stronger & longer lasting.

I liked it at the store and love it on me. Its a very fresh clean scent, my husband could wear it also. Its like Dancing Waters that way. I do tend to gravitate towards green scents more and more and this is pretty typical for the ones I enjoy, and less expensive than most. I don't get the grass scent as much as others mentioned, but I do get the aquatic notes strongly and the base musk pretty clearly also. It smells great in the morning!
That being said, I don't think it smells like rain kissed leaves or the world after a good rain. It needs more of a dirt undertone for that, and less musk.

This is a lighter version of their limited edition VERTYVER scent that they had about 5 years ago. I loved the Vertyver and am glad to see it come back.
I am surprised none of the reviews mention this. Vertyver was sold for a very limited time, though. You can still find it on ebay.
I give it five stars!

I love this scent. I am found of green, clean scents. I bought a couple small bottles of the lotion and and a showger gel at the SAS. I would definetly purchase the full sized products. A great choice for summer for those that do not like tropical or flower scents.

Ah, changed my mind about this after testing it on my skin. I bought a little bottle at the sale and I don't know why after my first impression. But, I did and I'm glad. It's much different than green clover and aloe.
It's relaxed and a dewy fresh green floral. Nothing is over or under done about it. I will be using this for the summer and beyond, very surprised that they went for this scent! When I think of it being tropical, I mean it's like a mix of rainforest flowers and standing under a huge leaf while it rains. You smell the humidity and it all has it's own special smell. I know, it's unusual but that's my impression. I also have to say brava with the lasting power, these notes endure for a body splash form.
Lush green leaves, crisp watercress and delicate petals refreshed by summer rain. Lustrous. Youthful. Poetic. (Fragrance top notes: Fresh Cut Grass, Morning Dew, Summer Rain, Crushed Green Leaves, Sparkling Grapefruit; mid notes: Lush Muguet, Bright Peony, Crisp Watercress, Pink Jasmine; base notes: Musk Captive, Super Hedione, Fresh Transparent Woods.)

I got a mini of this for $1 at the BBW sale over the weekend and I really like it for summer. It's very fresh and aquatic - reminds me a bit of a cheaper Issey Miyake. Definitely not as complex, but for a summery body mist, it does fine. A winner if you like fresh scents.

Very fresh and clean, this was at the register I guess to gauge for interest. I am curious to see what others think.

I wandered into BBW to sniff what was new, and the SA told me the trial-size bottle of this was $1. You just don't pass that up -- and it's been a dollar well spent. Rainkissed Leaves is green and lush. We're having a wet and cold June in the Pacific Northwest so none of my summer fragrances make any sense right now, but this fits the bill. I'm looking forward to buying full-size bottles of this.

I picked this up at the semi-annual sale in the sample bottle, both the lotion and the spray. Honestly, when I first smelled it I was ambivalent about the smell, but after trying it I love it. It's absolutely perfect for spring and summer. It's the kind of scent you'll hate during the winter when it's 10 below, because it makes you want to go outside.
This product smells exactly like it's named.
Update: I wore this product for about a day and a half, and about 5 people (all guys) have told me that I smell awesome I would definitely buy this body spray again, I've never had something get this many rave reviews in such a short period of time.

This is a unique scent for me. I don't usually go for anything with leaves in the title but this was a gift.
What is also unusual with this, for me, it that I REALLY don't like it but I also REALLY do like it.
To explain, when I smell this in the bottle I really don't like it at all. It kind of reminds me of fresh cut grass, I don't like the smell of that either. After I have had the scent on for a little while, then I LOVE it!! It leaves this super-fresh outside after a good rain scent behind that is so pretty and feminine.
Also, like one other poster pointed out, the scent last for a long time!!
So I will definitely buy full sizes of this scent and I can recommend it, but if you smell it in the bottle and don't like it, still try wearing it for a bit before you decide you do or don't like it! It smells totally different on.

This smells almost identical to their Green Clover & Aloe scent. I was disappointed in its similarity. I've noticed B&BW has been introducing "new scents" that seem to be only updates of their old ones - revamped in a slight way and resold under a new name.
The scent DOES have lasting power ... I am wearing the lotion and body spritz together today and smell it at every turn - 5 hours past now.
I chose "Yes" in the would you buy is again box b/c there are times when I like a fresh scented body wash - but as a perfume/lotion I do not believe I would buy again. I'll probably use the remainder of the body spritz to spray through my fan to scent my house.

This is a very green and fresh fragrance. By no means is it bad or offensive, that being said it is also quite unremakable and a bit unisex. I prefer more fruity or floraly scents and this aquatic scent just ain't cutting it. If you like the scents like sea island cotton, dancing waters, crystal blue waters, green clover and aloe, freshwater cucumber, water blossom ivy, and seaspray you will definatly like this. It just wasn't my cup of tea.

This is great stuff! I think the entire line comes out in July, but I got a trial sized sample of the lotion. This is nice summery and crisp. Not over powering and very fresh. I like nature type scents. Really opens up my senses and makes me want to get outdoors and relax. I am excited to eventually try the larger versions.
