I really like the packaging. Very sanitary and handy for travelling. The product itself is a slightly milky texture with a slight odour but nothing extreme. It blends in quickly and I use 1-2 pumps for my entire face and neck. No breakouts or dryness from using this. It does have a cooling sensation when put onto the skin that I enjoy but some people won't be fond of. It leaves a matte finish and smooth application for foundations. Will buy again considering it does what I need and is only $6

I LOVE the Clean&Clear Cleanser, Toner, and oil absorbing sheets. So I decided to pick up this moisturizer when I went to Target one day. The packaging was alright, and the price was all right. Before I tell you why I hate this product so much, let me tell you about my skin. I have dry/sensitive skin and I usually NEVER break out. 95% of the time, I never have a single pimple on my skin. I used this product and it broke me out. Like the worst I've ever broken out in my life. All over my cheeks and chin. Red, ugly, and persistent pimples. I stopped using the product and treated my pimples with aloe gelly and it still took a week to heal! I will NOT repurchase, and I love Clean&Clear, but this lotion was a mistake.

I am shocked on the amount of reviews about this product being bad! I love this so much, that I can say it's my HG. My skin is your typical hormonal teenage skin. I break out, ALL THE TIME. I have a new friend every damn day on my face. Not to mention, the ones I get are the deep cystic ones that take weeks to go. I normally have normal/dry skin, but lately it has been getting super oily. My normal routine is the Clean and Clear Deep Action cream cleanser for sensitive skin with my Neutrogena Alcohol-Free toner. Those two work like a charm but since it's summer time, my skin is producing more oil with the fact that I don't use a moisturizer. I was breaking out a lot and my skin literally looked like an oil slick. I can fry an egg on my face, that's how oily it was. So I bit the bullet and bought the Dual Action moisturizer. Normally, I stray from moisturizers because of my bad history with them. They all, literally all, break me out. Even if they says oil-free, it breaks me out. At first I was scared to try this because I thought I would purge since this has salicylic acid in it, but to my surprise is didn't. In fact, this actually stopped the pimples that were forming on my face stop forming. They are now getting smaller! I love how this moisturizer leaves my face tingly and fresh, like I just put ice on my face or something. I've only been using this for 2 days. Seriously, 2 DAYS! Day and night, and my skin just loves it and soaks it up. It leaves me feeling moisturized but not greasy. It also makes me look nice and matte, not red and greasy. I love this product so much, I can't believe I ever looked down on it! Best part about it? Not one breakout, nada. My face is the clearest is has been in the 2 years I've had acne. It's also back to normal and not super oily anymore. This stuff is pure heaven in a bottle!

This thing works!!
How do you know? Because I just registered to a makeup website and risked putting my email and nickname out there JUST SO i could give credit where credit is due. [That's how! :-)]
I'm a black woman. I have had light acne type of deal on my forehead ever since i was 13. I'm in my 30s now. And short of having a cleaner skin grafted, i have thought my forehead acne was here to stay. I kept believing that even after i came to america 4 years ago [I am Ethiopian]. About 8 months before, I was at walmart, looking for a hair product. This african-american woman with a lovely skin was next to me, looking for same. We started talking about a product we were both looking that wasn't on the shelft, and i got the courage to compliment her and ask what she used for her skin. She said "Clean and Clear". I didn't have much money, and didn't beleive anything short of miracle would clear my skin. But thought I'd buy a cheap one and give it a try, what have i got to lose, right? Bought Clean & Clear Dual action moisturizer. Took it home. And put it on my skin. Loved the cold stinging sensation and the fact that it doesn't stay glued to your skin long after. I also enjoyed how it washes out easily, without the need of a [skin-drying] soap. However, a couple of days later, i noticed how my skin felt more dry than it is. I immediately assumed it must be the moisturizer so i stopped using it. About 4 months ago, I was going through my box of never-to-be-used-again beauty products bought on impulse and came across this very moisturizer. I have not used a face cream for a while so i went for it. This time, my skin didn't dry. Infact, the "acne" on my forehead started looking lighter and lighter that people started complimenting me on how lovely and happy i look nowadays after using it for less than 3 weeks. This went on until the day i used baking soda!! which i usually do once a week after taking long showers. That's when i realized it wasn't the acne that made my skin dry the last time. It was the baking soda! I stopped using that and continued to use the "dual action moisturizer". My skin never dried - infact even areas around my mouth that are usually ashen in the morning look more part of my skin nowadays - and the acne is barely --- barely visible. Thank you whoever you were that recommended this moisturizer for me. Thank you the folks at clean & clear. I no longer feel like a 30 year old with teenager problem. I feel like a woman - with a more even skin color.

This review is for the Oil Free Skin Balancing Moisturizer (I presume it's the same/similar formula as this) i don't use it on my face anymore because having dry skin I find it a bit drying on the face so it has sat in my drawer for 2+ years!! However I recently have been using this on my back & bum when I have one of those embarrassing breakouts, for that purpose it has been wonderful.

This stuff is amazing for its price and its performance!! omg I can't believe I never tried this until now..well I kinda always have prejudice against clean&clear products. I don't know why but i thought clean&clear products are just too harsh and too cheap but to my surprise, this lotion works wonderfully to me.. it actually reduce the occurence of acnes and also fades the dark spots I have left from acnes..My skin is not 100% clear but it got so much better to the point that i don't need to wear makeup sometimes if i don't feel like it...I really am amazed with this products and have been recommended this to my friends..it is really cheap too. $5 for clearer skin?? I can afford that! and I have tried a lot of cream and lotions before, from high ends to lower ends, La Mer (the original and the oil absorbing lotion), SKII, Shiseido, Estee Lauder, Lancome, Proactive, most of Neutrogena and Olay products, Strivectin, Clinique, and too many other creams/potions/ayurvedic/natural/organic products. Nothing works but this one! At the beginning my skin tends to get dry if i applied more than twice a day, but after a while it just adapts to the lotions, and now it works just fine. I will keep using this cheap find until something more fabulous but so far so good

I was using the Olay complete moisturizer before this gem, and that made me an oil slick! My face gets very oily towards the summer time, I wanted a moisturizer that wouldn't add any more oil. I'm pretty sure the Olay moisturizer isn't oil free so I saw this one at Target and thought why not, its only $5. I've been using this for 3 weeks now and I really like it. My only problem is after about an hour, my nose gets oily again even when I use toner before the moisturizer. Also there isn't any SPF. Overall, I really recommend this product!

It has a fresh feeling after you apply. It helps my dry skin and doesn't make my acne worse. On the other hand it doesn't help pimples.

AMAZING!!! Overall, this has become my favourite moisturizer! (no i did not spell favourite wrong? I am canadian ehh? Hahaha 🙈😃 anyways, the first time i used it, it made my face a little bit red and i had sort of an itchy/burning sensation. This should be normal the first time u use the product because your skin is getting used to the moisturiZer. After a few times u use it, it will work beautifully and erase minor blemishes such as pimples and red spots!!!

This moisturizer is amazing! I was in the need of a new moisturizer and I was hesitant to purchase this one. I paid $5.00 for it and I am so glad I purchased it. I have combination skin that is acne prone. I felt like this product has even helped with acne. It makes my skin very soft and even helps my makeup go on smoother. I use this at nighttime also after I cleanse and tone my face!
