Been trying to find a good foundation for my wedding day, and this is definitely not it. I applied with a beauty blender. Looks great at first! Glowy and natural finish. HOWEVER, after 3-4 hours, it starts to fade. Yes, this was with Smashbox primer and UD setting spray. By the end of my workday, redness and blemishes were showing through, and I just looked tired. If I wanted sheer coverage, i would just use a tinted moisturizer! I know it has to do with my oily T-Zone. Its not bad, but when you look at the value of the product, I just can't justify paying for the price, then no. And the search continues.

I got this a while ago and I really like it for when I'm going out and such. I used to wear it every day, however i stopped that because I don't really see many people at work, and I don't care if my skin looks absolutely perfect, plus its like 45$ so there's no point in wasting. Before this, I was using Neutrogena Healthy Skin and Im one of those lame people who sometimes think that higher price=better quality which is so untrue! This foundation is really nice, and if you have the money then I recommend it. It has a nice medium coverage and covers up bad spots without overdoing it. Why does it get a 3? because I really don't see too much of a difference between this and my old $10 Neutrogena. The MUFE doesn't dry out oily areas nor does it hydrate dry areas. It doesn't make me oily and it doesn't control oil. Doesn't make me break up, but doesn't help the breakouts I already have.
Overall my makeup basically looks the same when I wear this expensive one and when I wear the cheap one. I really like the pump bottle though, for hygenic reasons. Other than that, I would say I wont be buying this again based on the price. I have no problem putting out money for good products, but this one is just not doing anything special for me to want to shell out the money for it.

I really did like this foundation... it wasnt very heavy on my skin, and didnt well to cover my blemishes. I didnt feel like it was my holy grail foundation, but is a product i definitely recommend.

I recently bought this foundation after much deliberation and have to say that I really like it! For what I want in a foundation, this pretty much gets it spot on. It is lightweight, medium coverage that does not cake the skin at all and blends in like a dream. It enhances my skin rather than sticks to it, though it definitely isn't full coverage so if that's what you're after, this isn't for you. I use the matching powder and they work well together and wear well through the day. I have also found that I haven't broken out at all whilst using this foundation, and I am someone who struggles deeply with acne. Whether or not this is the foundation I cannot say for sure but it has been since I have started using it around a month ago so at least it isn't clogging pores and lets my skin breathe. I don't know whether this is my HG just yet, but it's doing a great job so far! Worth the money.

I gave this a 3 for a few reasons. I'll tell my story. Okay, so I was at sephora and I went up to a worker and asked her if she could help me find a foundation that was full coverage, light enough for my skin tone, and not heavy feeling. ( I only ask for full coverage because I have freckles and some redness and freckles can be quite hard to cover.) So she took me to this product, got 117, & applied it with a sponge. It felt pretty nice on my skin and was a perfect match and evened out my skin tone. So I immediately bought it. It's a splurge if you're my age. (42 US dollars) But I thought hey, i have tried so many foundations and if this is the right one for me, Its worth the money. So anyway, I have been using it and it seems OK except it made me VERY oily! I am a combination skin and I am normally dry. So I normally do not get oily. I had to blot and use setting powder. It also doesn't have great staying power. Only about 6-7 hours. But the shade selection was great and it DOES match my skin. Which is one of the pros. It also has medium to buildable coverage . It can make your skin feel like its suffocating, though. But that's why i gave it a three- because it makes my t-zone quite oily.

Got a sample of this foundation in 117 after being color matched by the MUA. Before I got the sample I patted a bit on my cheeks in the store and was really excited about it- finally a high end foundation pale enough for me! One day in though, and I'm not sure i'll even finish my sample. Wore it today with my usual primer (Rimmel Primer #2) and my usual Revlon Photo Ready Powder in translucent, and boy am I disappointed. When I first put it on it looked like an okay color match- a little darker and yellower then it had looked in the store, but decent. The finish was also okay- not the velvet sheen that I get from my beloved Clinique super balanced, but not bad. Switch to 1/2 way through the day and coverage is fading fast and I look somewhat greasy; a big surprise since I would characterize my skin as dry to very dry. Cut to 8pm and I look incredibly dry and a little sallow. Combine that with its gross texture (the stuff looks like flesh colored water) and I will definitely NOT be purchasing.
Only reason it gets a lippie is because MUFE seems to be one of the few higher end brands (I'm looking at you, smashbox) that is willing to make super pale foundations.
Edit:: works a lot beter with smashbox primer, but I'll still never buy- if I'm shelling out $42 USD then I want it to look good with cheaper products too!

It's perfect to my skin to hide my fores and can cover little my acne scars. I had acnes before, and that showed and remained on my skin. I want to hide that and my fores. My fores are being larger and larger, so I need to cover my fores. It's good for covering fore. However, I give rating 4, because its lasting is not forever. After 5~6 hours, the makeup was gone. So, I have to re-touch my makeup. After retouching, my skin looks perfect!
I love my natural look skin.
I take off one star because I need retouching, but even if I need retouching, it's perfect Foundation so I will buy again until I find better foundation.
Thank you for reading my review.
I'm so sorry to my english is too bad, but I tried to my best :)

Amazing foundation. Looks like skin, perfect shade range, the only foundation that not only lasts on my face, but seems to make whatever you put on top of it last too ! Never seen such wonder

Bought this after always using revlon colorstay as my HG foundation, in some crazy attempt to find a better coverage foundation by paying a little more. Boy was I wrong. I wont say I hate this foundation but I will say I really do not like it at all! It is so light and thin and watery in my opinion and i literally have to apply 3 or 4 layers to get the coverage that is close to what i need, when with Colorstay i only needed to apply one layer and retouch sometime in the day for all day coverage. ALSO this makeup rubs off so easy i cant believe it! Colorstay did rub off on my boyfriends tee-shirt but this rubs off on my cell phone my fingertips if i just barely touch my face and clothes just by taking it off or putting it on. WEAK STUFF. last and least i feel it is soo oily and i finish it off to set with oil control powder...still SHINY. By lunch im at disco ball status i hate it... Im constantly having to check my face to wipe off oil something i dont have to do with colorstay...now im moving on to EL Double Wear to see how that works !

It's really full coverage. People who say are usually the ones that don't have that much blemishes to cover. It's more light/medium-to-medium coverage. My favorite part about this product is how it looks like skin, which is probably why the coverage isn't that high. But it evens out my skin tone and blends soooooo well. The only part the might keep me from purchasing this again is the fact that it gets soooo greasy after a short while (2-3hrs). Even after I set it with an HD powder, I have to blot constantly throughout my school day. I get so shiny. But that's the only downturn. Otherwise, it's a great foundation.

Fantastic product, I use this for my bridal and editorial work and its photographs amazingly. Coverage is medium and gives a flawless look without looking cakey. I would recommend applying it with a stipple brush as sponges seems to soak it up and you waste a lot of foundation.
One cristsism would be the packaging, my lids are forever falling off!
But apart from that A MUST BUY!

So far, I love this. I had it applied at Sephora and have yet to find any cons. I usually have issues with finding foundations that match my skin, but found a perfect match in 110 (i have very light skin, but with yellow undertones). MUFE has an amazing spectrum of colors. I have had the foundation on for 7 hours so far, and it still looks great! Covered all blemishes or discolorations in my skin (including redness, which is very difficult for me as my nose tends to get red!). I tend to get a tiny bit oily on my forehead throughout the day and so far, I have seen no signs of this. The Sephora rep DID apply it a bit too heavy for my liking, which it seems maybe some fine lines on my face are more visual than usual (ill have to see if this changes when i apply it as I usually would). So far, that's my only complaint. I will edit this in a couple of days with my final verdict!

I've been frolicking through Sephora and Nordstrom on a foundation-testing binge lately so THIS IS NOT A FULL REVIEW, which is to say, I tested my sample of this on a full face *once*. I won't be testing it again because I was unimpressed with it -- apart from slightly easier blending, I didn't see it do anything that Revlon Colorstay doesn't do. In fact, it settles into my pores and makes little foundation-colored dots in a way that CS never does. Undoubtedly if I spent days applying it with different methods I would find a way to get a better finish, but I don't have time for that, I want foundation that doesn't have to be babied to look decent.

I have this in 117. Im normally an NC20. This foundation blends quite well into the skin with good coverage of discoloration and blemishes. I hardly have to use concealer unless my pimples are enormous. I find that this foundation is better applied with fingers due to a thicker consistency. I am not sure others experienced this, but my pump broke and came off. Also, the staying power is not super amazing despite setting it with powder after. Other than that i really like this foundation. I may repurchase but i would like to try other foundations.

This is by far my favorite foundation. I wear shade #127 and its my 3rd bottle. I love the way it gives my face a flawless look with an oh-so slight glow. Looks very natural, photographs well and is comfortable on my skin. I love it so much, I requested my Make Up Artist to use this for all my Wedding functions ( I'm Indian and our wedding events usually last a week). This doesn't cake and doesn't oxidize much. This is HG product for me. Only wish it was a little more affordable. LAAAve it! Would I buy it again? DEFINITELY

i heard positive reviews about the HD foundation and thought i would try it out, and i came to these conclusions:
PROS:
-perfect skin match
-makes skin look good
-build-able coverage
CONS:
-very light formula (i like thicker foundations)
-used a lot of product to achieve a full coverage look
-not long lasting
-do not like the kabuki brush
-setting powder isnt the best
would not recommend this if you need coverage because you will use a lot of product so beware

Pros:
--perfect color match (117), which is so hard to find.
--nice coverage.
Cons:
--accentuates pores, dry spots and creases (even with primer).
--after a few hours, becomes cakey.
I tried this foundation using a brush, fingers, with and without primer, with and without finishing powder, and I just can't get it to work. Taking it back to Sephora.

This isn't a terrible product (maybe good depending on your coloring/skin type), but for me personally it just isn't anything great at all. I can't get a color match that's perfect without mixing colors. The lightest color (110 Pink Porcelain) is too pink for me, and the lightest neutral color (117 Sable) is kind of dark. I would try the 115 Ivory that's in between, but to be honest, I need more coverage and the finish isn't flattering on me (greasy-looking!) if I try to build the coverage up. I prefer Make Up For Ever's Mat Velvet. Strangely enough, the lightest color of that foundation, which is Alabaster, isn't as pink as the HD's Pink Porcelain.)
If you have beautiful skin that is on the dry side and can get a good color match, I can see this being an awesome product.
