I like this product because it so natural and makes you feel like you have nothing on but at the same time I feel like my pores are more noticeable and not enough coverage for my redness at least for me so even though I like this product. Ill be going back to my liquid foundation.

I'm rather undecided about this one. the fact is it offers light to medium coverage and gives you that lovely natural look. also because it's matte your face doesn't end up like a shiny vampire we all know once your natural oils start to seep through after a long day in the office (I'm rather fair but you know what I mean)

however this is not suitable for full coverage, for that I usually apply liquid foundation first then the powder to set it. the packaging is lovely so nothing gets wasted.

the thing I'm not happy about is the price, compared to other powders this is the most expensive while offering less coverage then others (intentionally for a natural look)

get this only if you are aiming for light coverage.

Gah! Love/hate relationship with this product, which seems to ride solely on my own responsibility of prepping my own skin. Unless you have exfoliated and consistently moist skin, this product WILL apply unevenly! It's just the nature of the powder--it will grab onto oily areas or pores much more than dry patches and look splotchy. But because I like the idea of easy light-coverage powder foundation over goopy liquids, I will continue to try to use it and have a love/hate with it. The matte version doesn't have the pearly look of the original. However, I have mixed my original with my matte to get a better color and sheen for my own needs, which maybe is breaking BE rules bigtime.

Great product if you don't need a lot of coverage. I use it with the handy buki which I love and it feels very natural, almost like I'm not wearing any foundation at all.

It also doubles as a concealer when used with the concealer brush, although I prefer a liquid-based concealer.

I love Bare Minerals foundation, I've converted! I have fairly light skin with yellow undertones and I bought this product in Medium. It feels light and not dry at all. Although it is matte, it still gives me a nice glow, evenness of color, and luminescence that I love. For a girl that didn't like the look of a seriously made-up face, this is the coverage that I like. It is not intended for full coverage, in my opinion, unless you are willing to fork up $30 every month for foundation. Along with that, it is more for people with already relatively good skin. It gives medium coverage at best, and that's with a heavy hand. I wouldn't recommend this product if you're not a fan of the natural skin look.

i have gone through countless pots of bare minerals foundation- i have been using it since the 8th grade, when my grama got me a kit off of qvc! this turned me on to the entire brand, and it is absolutely my favourite, forever. when they came out with the matte foundation, i didn't think i could love something even more, if it was perfect already, but i honestly fell in love again times a million! it's so great! it covers my rosacea, leaves a dewy finish- unlike every other mineral foundation brand that i have tried- feels light as air, and actually seems like it becomes one with my skin, as opposed to being a layer on top. in 8th grade and high school, i did not use a primer with This, and it still looked fab, but now i use either a tinted or clear primer with this, the bare minerals redness remedy on my trouble spots, and then a light dusting of this- flawless!!!! i get compliments on my skin LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE DAY- i'm not joking.

UPDATE:
returned this the day after posting my initial review. It disappeared within an HOUR, and by the end if the school day, I was red and oily and had no makeup left. Horrible. Don't waste your money.

am absolutely in love! Found my HG! Incredible!

I have oily skin, and needed a nice foudnation that would keep my oil at bay but look natural and light. This does everything and more! I literally looks airbrushed... I used to use Dior air flash but it is too expensive to buy every two months. This gives the exact same finish, which is gorgeous!

It does only have light coverage, which is the one drawback. But if yo use concealer, it is not a problem at all!

Many people say it looks chalky or cakey... Thisis wrong! Like i said, it has light coverage, so your natural "colors" ever so slightly come through, so that you dont look like you are one tone.

Incredible <3

I really only review a product if I love it, so that others can try it; my HG foundation for the past two years has been the Clinique mineral foundation powder (the one you shave out). But my skin started to 'get used to it" and I found that it wasn't preventing shine like it used to. So I decided to try this stuff and WOW. It's amazing! Gives a beautiful matte finish but it's very natural. Keeps shine at bay for about 6 hours. I have used it with their regular primer and the oil free. The oil free helps hold off the shine a bit longer but both work well with it. I don't have to touch up until lunch time (around noon) after putting it on at 6:30ish in the morning. And even then, it isn't all that shiny. My face still looks great at bed time when I finally take it off! I think the price is great for such an effective foundation. I also do think my skin looks better now that I've been using it for about a month. The more you buff, the better coverage you get. I highly recommend this stuff :)

I love the packaging and the fact that it looks fairly natural. Unfortunately, you have to keep layering it one if you want to cover anything. It does last a while, and does not cause my oily, acne prone, teenage skin to break out. I really wanted to love this, but I ended up using all of it in like two weeks since it takes so much to even out skin tone. =[

I was excited to purchase this product, being that my skin is very sensitive and acne prone I had heard it was a good product do to the fact that it was minerals and not so many chemicals involved in it. Well i gave the product a two, coverage was not that great I could still notice my imperfections and it made my acne irritate. It also looked very flaky when I would first apply it then a couple hours later and my face looked like freaking butter. I used the product for three months have not seen a difference with my skin maybe I need to try it a little longer….
