PERFECT NUDE LIP COLOR. Its satin so it goes on SOO smoothly!!!! Really amazing. I've been using Tanarama for nude lipstick look, but myth is much more...natural and less frosty. I still LOVE tanarama though. But yes. Myth IS the c-thru form in lipstick. Absolutely GORGEOUS and PERFECT paired up with smokey eyes. So sexy. =)

Myth is a pale, light beige nude lipstick, with emphasis on pale. At first glance it almost looks like a concealer (yea, it is that light!), but it IS wearable for a nude lip look that is flattering, refreshing and pretty. I am a C3, and here is how I made it work - first, I applied it with a lip brush, not too heavy of a coat. This color was way too heavy on my pigmented lips when applied directly from the tube. You can apply it over a sheer or nude lip pencil, if you want, but make sure you lip color shows through a bit. Then apply a bit more Myth to the lowest part of the lower lip. Top with your favorite nude, sheer gloss (or pink gloss), and you have your nude lip!

Oh MAN. This lipstick is so incredible. I'd been through Blankety (which is a nice alternative), Kinda Sexy, Lovedust and Honeylove searching for the perfect nude lip, but it wasn't until I found Myth that my search was completed. I'll repurchase this as many times as is necessary. For those who say this is a "bad" shade...it obviously isn't a color that works for everyone's skintone or taste. But I doubt that most people look at Myth in the tube––a very very pale peachy flesh color––and expect it to NOT look like a very very pale peachy flesh color on the lips. This shade is for those looking for a real Twiggy-esque mod nude lip, not for a natural look.

GAWD! the only lipstick of mine that runs out soo QUICK. myth is my ALL time favorite lipstick. But heres the thing...brunettes its a no-no, looks absolutly horrible with dark hair. I'm a blonde, and it compliments my hair color very nicely. I use this with stipdown lipliner. Great combo. Its such a creamy lipstick, with the vanilla scent. mmmm...my all time fav.

Yay, a pale nude that isn't too pink or grey! This is more of a pale peachy nude that works wonders for toning down pigmented lips. I put a thin layer of this over my lips to blank them out and then I can wear those light lipsticks and glosses that otherwise don't show up properly on me. More of a 'primer' for me than an actual l/s. Worn alone this really is light! It would also work well (as mentioned below) to dab on the middle of your lower lip for a little 'pouty' effect. Top with gloss and voila! I've very glad to have found this.
Edit to add ~ this works wonderfully sheered out applied lightly *over* a lip balm too. I just use BBell Vanilla LipSmackers and go lightly over with Myth and I get a toned down, shiny but natural looking lip. Applied this way it's not dry looking or dry feeling. Upgraded to a 5 since nothing I've found can replace this for me.
Edit to add, I now use this over RoC Enydrial lip balm. It's amazing! The balm moisturized your lips and makes Myth glide on in a more sheer and glossy way. I'm still loving this.

MY COLORING :: c4/40 Asain medium-yelow toned gal.
THIS CREATES THE PERFECT NUDE LIPS LOOK a la 1960's and 1970's.
This is a nice light milky beige with a peach/pink tinge. However, I WARN TO ALL GIRLS who are using this that it can not, I repeat, CAN NOT, be worn alone because it is way too dry and pale...I suggest using this with the MAC lipgloss in Squirt or SPRING BEAN because it makes the Myth lipstick warmer and prevents you from lookng dead, which can happen if you use this alone. However, I am a nude lip freak and this is FOR SURE one of the best nude lips look that I have come across.

I bought Myth yesterday. I've been looking for a matte peachy beige for almost a year now. Myth isn't exactly what I'm looking for, but it's pretty close. It's more on the beige side, but an overall nice shade IMO.
Yesterday I've worn Myth toped with Biotherm Glossy Splash Gloss in 465 - it is a sheer peachy gloss with gold sparkle (applied only in the middle of the lips) and it gave me a sexy pout! lol I really love how it looked on my lips. Moreover, I am pretty sure I could wear Myth alone. I have a very fair skin and brown hair. I'll update this review when I try Myth on its own.
I think it is a great lipstick for a smokey eye/nude lip look. I am really pleased, I think I should have try it before! Will definitely repurchase it.

Myth is a staple of mine for the Smokey Eye/Nude Lip look. I have light olive skin (and bottle tan in the summer), hazel/brown eyes, very pigmented reddish-pink lips, and highlighted dark blonde hair.
Myth is a very pale pale, muted, slightly peach-toned beige nude. Some have likened it to a concealor color. :) I could never be without it. I don't know of anyone who can really wear Myth "alone", except for very fair skintones, sporting smokey eyes. Rather, I think Myth (and it's pinker counterpart, Fleshpot) is best used to "lighten up" other deeper nudes. Or to create a "pout", as another member mentioned. It's a shame so many customers have discounted Myth, simply because they tried to wear the color on it's own, with (yikes!) a natural eye look. A strong smokey eye is called for with Myth, or you will look "dead" or washed out. Myth is opaque, and is best applied with a lip brush. I have paired Myth with Oak, Stripdown, Spice and even some slightly rose-nude lip pencils. I have also used Myth mixed with Malt (now discontinued) to create an old MAC nude lipcolor that was my very very favorite (Bardot). Myth also looks FAB over Cherish, Half N Half, Fondle (now discontinued), and countless other lipstick colors.
If you've bought Myth, and hate it ---give it another chance, by pairing it over other lipstick shades. And you can also use it as a "base color" to lighten very naturally pigmented lips, before applying your final lip shade.

Myth is THE perfect nude/peach lipstick for me. I feel like this is C-Thru gloss in lipstick form. Myth is moisturizing, does a wonderful job of covering up my pigmented lips, and this lipstick does last. I swapped for this, and I am so happy I did. Top this off with a gloss and you have the perfect J-Lo lip.

I absolutely LOVE this lipstick!!! It has become my new HG nude lippie. Before buying Myth I used Fleshpot for years, but I always had to pair it w/ a lip gloss b/c it was just too pale (and drying) on its own. But Myth is just as gorgeous on its own as it is blended with a lipgloss! Myth gives me the perfect nude w/ a hint of pink lips. I don't understand why so many people hate this color???? It works for me but I have medium skin and am usually tan, but I guess if you are pale it might not work for you. I heard rumors that Myth is getting discontinued and if this is the case I need to stock up ASAP!

I love MAC, but this is a terrible color for a lipstick (might work as concealer).

Myth is a pale peachy-beige color. I had to choose between Fleshpot and this color, but I chose this one because Fleshpot was more pale. A lot of people tell me I look dead because of the nude/pale color, but maybe it's because I have light color skin. The lipstick glides on pretty nice and creamy. I would recommend putting lipgloss on top of it, or maybe a lipliner. If you want a pale lipstick that stays on well then go for it.

Whoa!! I wanted a pale nude lipstick, and I got it!! It is very pale. I think i like it, I am not for sure! Would probably look better with liner and gloss. A little drying.... i may swap mine away... I dunno.

I never thought the nude lip would work on me, I'm an ultra PPP with very pigmented lips, but this did the trick. It looks marvelous with clear gloss on top. If you're pale, it's great.

I love this lipstick for that pouty look - I just dab it in the center of my bottom lip and it instantly looks more "pouty" and fuller!!! Beautiful light pinky beige color!

Back a few years ago, waaay before I discovered MUA, of course, I bought this lipstick like it was going out of style. For some reason, i thought this was the ultimate Pam Anderson look hahahah Im so PPP its not even funny. I used to smear this on with Spice lipliner, or some other neutral-brown pencil, and walk around like I was bombshell. Now, years later, I have somehow found myself with not one--but two--tubes and will never wear this shade again. At least I can think of myself as two tubes closer to the Back to Mac recycling program and pick a nice shade for myself. what was I thinking? This DOES look like concealer on the lips!!!!

This looks like a pretty color at first glance but once applied it goes on extremely pale, almost white... plus I found this particular shade to be very drying for some reason. I perfer fleshpot over this shade anyday.

This looks scary when used alone, but looks really nice when used with a neutral lipliner.
