At first, I really didn't like this mascara because it clumped my lashes together. But when I started to wipe the wand with tissue before applying, then that's when i started liking the results. It gives you a natural, slightly volumized look without smudges and it holds the curl all day. I'm still looking for a mascara that gives me even more volume without clumps because this was okay and it's really pricy for something that you'll only use for a few months.

Sorry, but this was clump and smudge-city for me. Didn't like this mascara at all.

I am sorry but I really do not like this mascara. It just seems to make my eyelashes very cloggy and stuck together in clumps. Not at all like the model in the picture. Little flakes of the mascara drop off - not very good for hard contact lenses wearers and the colour doesn't last very long. I did try using it with a brush which made it look a bit better but still very artificial. I will not buy it again.

This product does dramatically lengthen lashes. It has a nice brush. It didn't seem to hold curl well...and I don't know if it was "just me" but it seems to make my eyelashes fall out?!?! I noticed at least 1 lash falling out each time I was removing my mascara. I switched back to my HG mascara (maybelline full n soft), and my lashes stopped falling out. Then, I switched back to the MagnaScopic...and they started falling out again. So, for me, this product did not work.

I must admit-I only test-drove this mascara; after I saw what it made my eyes look like, there was no way I was going to buy it. I like Illusionist better - though not by much. I have lash length but need volume, but this did not do it...it looked as if I'd pasted spider legs onto my eyelids. No, thanks. For volume, I'll stick with my L'Oreal Voluminous, though it does smear and irritate my eyes a bit.

I was excited about the hype of this product so decided to try it. My lashes are very long but naturally I want more volume. What a disappointment! Curl is important to me and I do it before any mascara application. This product killed all the curl and it was hard to work with. Trying to curl again after it dried was a disaster of clumps.

Its a lovely mascara that goes on easily. Can make lashes look sparse if you don't have the eyelash comb, but otherwise good quality.

This mascara is wonderful, I couldn't believe my eyes when I read all of the horrible reviews. I bought it the day it came out, because my beauty advisor for Lauder called me. She knows I am a cosmetics junky. It gives me awesome lashes. It has wonderful dark color, and the colors like purple and blue really go on their true color. It is quick and easy because you only need ONE coat. I also use the Estee Lauder Lash Primer Plus with it. I can't go without it. To everyone who gave this bad reviews try it again, but this time swivel the wand out (this help reduce the amount of product on the wand) Secondly, brush down on your lashes with the wand and then lightly up to add curl. I think it took me about four days to love it so please try, you are missing out.

Ok. I said I'd buy it again - but I'm really more of a "maybe." First try straight out of the tube I was not impressed. But I learned. Now I start with the primer, allow it to dry, curl my lashes, and then apply ONE coat. I have long lashes, though not thick and this stuff makes them POP. It lasts and does not flake or irritate my eyes. And I do love the tube design. I might buy again, but more likely will try something new.

I have a DEAR friend that works for Estee Lauder, so I must confess that I got this mascara for free. However... I would NOT buy it. It is SO clumpy and the wand is really messy! I'll stick with Prescriptives CURLING mascara!

OK I got this as a sample off a magazine - so in all fairness I didnt actually buy it - having said that, I wouldnt buy it after trying the sample. Its horrible. Dont get me wrong I am the biggest fan of dramatic falsie looking lashes but I do NOT like clumpy spider leg lashes that stick together and clump. This is one of those unfortunately. Even if I wipe the wand with a tissue (which I am usually unlikely to do as I love thick lashes) it still goes on gunky. UPDATE**** Ok this has actually got better as I have been using it, I think its just too thick when its brand new, now that it has become a little less gloopy it is not so bad. Still wouldnt fork out $52 NZ for it though!

This was ok for a mascara but I've used better ones. I find it a bit clumpy and messy to use. Sounds strange I know.

Don't buy it. It clumps, gives you spider-leg eyelashes, and is a waste of money.

This was not what expected. I love EL's Illustionist - so I jumped at this new mascara. I was so disappointed. It goes on so wet and clumpy. I think I'll return it and exchange it for Illustionist.

I got it as a sample when it came out. I dont know if I would actually buy the full size product--it gives thickness, but the brush is kind of hard and the lashes dry up and feel stiff. Also my lashes seem to stick to each other, not the kind of look I am looking for, I like the full-separated look, but this mascara didnt give me that. It is very expensive as full size product and I dont really think its worth it. Edit: crap! threw it out. Save your cash.

This mascara was overall a good volumizing mascara...it did make my lashes look very long.I like the fact that it made my lashes jus big and "wide" eyed. but it does get clumpy , so you need to be careful when applying it...I would definitly buy this again.

Very nice packaging in it's sleek navy tube with lucite details. You definitely pay for this part! Expensive at $20! The mascara itself is a very wet formula and has to be applied with care. It is not buildable unless you want to look like you have maybe 4 eyelashes! That said, the look I got from this mascara is excellent. After a little trial and error, I got application under control and am extremely happy with my long, full lashes. It did not smudge or flake as the day went on. Fairly easy to remove with cleanser and water. I also have Reflect.com mascara and I think, I will stick with that. Similar results, easier to apply and less $$$$.
