Thank you Dior! Finally a mineral make-up that I can wear. I have an oily skin type, however my skin is dehydrated. Do not be worried by the word hydrating- the formula uses mineral WATER to hydrate your skin, not heavy oils.
It is extreamly long wearing (I wear the liquid formula for a fuller coverage) and it does NOT showcase ever little imperfection like all other mineral powders and liquids I have tried!! It looks like skin, not make-up, but it evens out my skin tone beautifully.
TIP- I am a make-up artist and I noticed when I was matching a color to my client that you NEED, MUST leave the foundation stripe on your skin for at least 1 minute to see what the real color will be. It turns one to two shades darker as it warms to the skin.
Worth every penny, I will definitely be purchasing this again. Oh and BRIDES, it is gorgeous in pictures!!!!!

This is the first liquid foundation that I've ever found that I really like. It melts into your skin and doesn't look like foundation - but makes you look like you have beautiful skin. I apply it with a beautyblender and it is the most natural looking foundation I've ever worn in any category. I have a light to medium complexion that is oily in the T zone but dry on my cheeks. I did not get that "trapped foundation" look in the dry zones and the oilier zones didn't get shiny. At the end of the day, it looks as fresh as the beginning of the day when it is first applied.

i purchased this in 021 and it's a tad bit too yellow. it doesn't feel heavy at all. coverage is sheer to medium. i'm all about the airbrushed soft focus effect look and this foundation doesn't offer that. it's not a bad product but not what i'm looking for.

This is one of the best foundations I have worn in a long time. My skin is oily/combo and acne prone. I have acne scarring to cover up but I prefer the medium to full coverage, buildable, light reflecting types of foundations and not the thick matte ones.
I typically use the Laura Mercier Oil Free foundation. I have tried Lancome Tient Idole (matte, color matching can be bad especially for fair skin), EL Double Wear (too matte and cakey), MMU (shiny look and breaks me out), MUFE HD (breaks me out), Chanel Mat Lumiere (too matte/drying), Chanel Teint Innocence (not enough coverage), and those are just the ones I can think of at the moment.
Anyway, this foundation goes on very thin and nondetectable yet covers very well (medium to full) and has a finish that is "natural" - not too dewy, not too matte. No breakouts!!! Color matching - I found the Light Beige 020 to be very yellow and a little dark on me so went down to the lighest shade, the Ivory 010. It's a nice neutral tone (not too pink and not too yellow!) And, I don't consider myself the palest of the pale (I would say NW20). I think the 010 would suit a NC/NW15-NC/NW20. The strange thing is that I found the foundation darkens a little right after application. Also I don't feel this to be very hydrating - I have combo/oily skin and this is not causing the oilies.

I was purchasing a Dior lipstick and the lovely sales rep gave me several samples of this to try. I was not in a position to have a make over or color match that day, so I was given #10 (way too light) and #20 (way too peachy/pink) and #21 (way too yellow) for my NC20-25 skintone ....As much as I wanted to love this foundation I once again am left with no color match for my skintone. I do not like the idea of having to mix colors and blend like crazy to make a foundation work...I generally like dewy, lightweight, natural looking make up, so this sounded like it was going to be a dream. You do have to work fast initially to blend as I found it dries quickly. I also agree with other reviewers that this turns a little greasy looking on my combo/normal skin after a few hours....I can't get past the fact that Dior never has a color to match for my skintone so therefore I can not rate this higher, even though they have some lovely textured foundations. I think if you find a good color match than this is worth looking into if you don't like a heavy coverage...I would say the positives are the lighter weight texture, not too matte, not overly greasy (slightly after several hours), skin benefit claims, and the price is decent for a higher end foundation. I personally still prefer Teint Innocence cream foundation by CHANEL over this, but everyones skin needs are different...I do think a sample may be worth trying before you purchase to determine if this is the right foundation for you...

i love love loovvee this foundation. of everything i've tried this one beats them all. i have combo/sensitive/acneprone skin and it has yet irritated it or clogged any pores. it feels like you're wearing nothing at all while having really good coverage. i don't like wearing much makeup and i absolutely hate the 'mask' look that some girls get when caking on foundation, but there are no problems with this foundation.
i apply with a damp 187 brush as i find the foundation dries pretty fast and it leaves me with a nice airbrushed finish. anywhere i need a little more coverage [under my eyes] i use a concealer brush and it works perfectly. i have an oily tzone but i find that this foundation holds up well and doesn't disappear like other foundations i have tried nor does it leave me as an oil slick. on certain days when i need a little more oil control i just dust a little powder onto my nose and i'm good to go.
i could not be happier and i reaaallllyyy recommend going and getting colour matched. it's a must have if you are going for the nude, no makeup look.

Auuugh! I just got a sample of this and really wanted to love it. I wore it for 6 hours today and I will not be putting it on again.
1. Clogged my pores (tiny red bumps on one cheek).
2. Made me soo flaky (and I always wear a primer that usually does the trick.
3. My boyfriend told me, "Look how flaky your skin is! Don't touch it you'll irritate it!" When i told him I tried a new foundation today, he told me I should stop using it...
The reason I am giving it a three is because the coverage was good, the look initially was good, and it did have a good feel/consistency. I recommend it if you're not extremely dry but maybe combo. I won't be buying it. Too bad. I have a sample of DiorSkin Forever Extreme Wear Flawless Makeup (phew, a mouthful) that I will try as well. These two I had read good things about and am on the hunt for a wonderful foundation.

Ahh Dior...why do you do this to me...?
Why do you only release eight colours and none of which suite my skin tone? (This may not be the case in the U.S.)
Okay, enough lamenting, let's get on with the review. Whilst my skin tone has been unfortunate enough to be disregarded by Dior, I did try this on a customer whilst working at the Dior counter. It was the first time I got to try and see what the foundation felt and looked like. Well, this might soon become my favourite Dior foundation. It looked amazing on her. It was light, but the coverage was sufficient and didn't leave areas uncovered and didn't need to be blended like crazy. The finish was beautiful. A luminous and hydrated look without the "grease ball" effect. Just natural and as the name suggests "nude." So ladies, if you're lucky enough that your skin tone falls into the Dior colour range, then I suggest you go to your local counter and let them try this on you.

Really natural finish, great colour 010 for my pale skin, and feels like you're not wearing any make up..this is excellent as it does cover well, although i do need some powder on the t zone. great for combo to acne prone skin types as it doesn't clog pores (100% mineral) with antioxidants. really pleased with this product, would purchase again. i'll see if i notice the difference in my skin as the commercial claims.
UPDATE: after a couple of months, i ended up having to throw the last of this foundation as it became clumped together in jelly like balls. weird, couldn't use

This is my first Dior foundation and I have to say that it's pretty good. I have an extremely oily T-zone and so far no foundation that I have tried (e.g. MAC, Estee Lauder, MUFE HD and Mat Velvet+, CK Matte) has been able to manage my nose properly, as in not lift off it or look patchy in a few hours. I'm happy to report that this Dior foundation, when applied using the MAC 187 brush, does a really nice job of covering my nose satisfactorily and it looks amazing on the rest of my face. It eventually lifts off my T-zone, but it definitely stays put longer than any other foundation I've tried.
Also, I'm really happy with the color. I'm pretty fair skinned and usually foundation matching is a problem for me, but 010 is the perfect shade. The bottle is really pretty and comes with a handy pump. The only con is the price, but it looks like it's gonna last me a long time, so I'll live with it.
LATER EDIT: This was the fastest foundation to spoil that I've owned, approx. 8 months since purchased. I'm quite upset over paying so much money for it and having to throw away more than half the foundation because it spoiled so quickly :(. I kept the pretty bottle and put my VS foundation in it, so I guess it's not a total loss, but I will most definitely NOT repurchase.

Gorgeous bottle. Reminds me of diamonds..ofcourse this is Dior. Very high end stuff. Anyways, Diorskin Nude with SPF 10 has a great color selection. The formula is good, the coverage is light to medium.
The bad part: This turned my combo skin into an OIL SLICK. I was shining like the North Star on Christmas Eve. WAY too heavy I suppose...for my face at least. It looks great at first but then it goes downhill ...as the hours pass by it gets worse and worse.
Sad. I really wanted to like this stuff! Also the price is killer at $45...but what do you expect, it's Dior.
I think this would be good for normal to dry skin types...hence the "hydrating" in the product's name.
EDIT: I originally gave this product 3 lippies because of my above review. However, I ended up going back to this product (and started using the Nude Hydrating Powder to set my makeup) and used this for many months. It makes your skin look absolutely beautiful, even in photography. I think this is my favorite liquid foundation; I don't know why it made me so oily when I first used this stuff, but I really didn't experience the extreme oiliness the second time around. It lasted long but not as long as something like Colorstay or Superstay. Comes with a pump :) I highly recommend this now. J'adore Dior!

*** this foundation dries FAST! The best way I have found to apply it is with a DAMP beautyblender sponge. (Any damp sponge will probably do) The dampness of the sponge will keep the foundation from drying in the time that it takes you to get it from the bottle to your face, and it will also keep the foundation wet enough to blend. I HIGHLY recommend trying this application method, as I was totally unsuccessful with both a foundation brush and fingers for application but I LOVE the way this looks and wears with the damp beautyblender. ***
Now that I have that out of the way... :) I think this is a fantastic foundation, definitely the most "you don't look like you're wearing foundation" I have worn since the original Lancome Teint Idole. The finish is satiny and natural looking, and it lasts all day on me. I have dry and sometimes normal-to-dry skin with a rare blemish so I am not using foundation to cover, I use it to even out skintone... and this does that perfectly. Like I said above, this dries FAST so if you apply it with your fingers or a brush you may get too much on your face and it will cake. And that looked horrid on me. I would have returned it except my dear friend ilovelauna clued me in to the beautyblender application method and I swear angels sang when I watched this stuff go onto my face that way. So do please give this a chance with the damp sponge if you thought it might work for you but it didn't and you used your fingers or a foundation brush to apply it.
Okay I promise I won't mention the sponge again. :) In other brands, I wear:
MAC NW20
stila 30 watts/shade C
NARS Mont Blanc
Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Buff 4C and Color Ideal I-40C
Tarte Smooth Operator in Conceal and ReCreate in Porcelain
Everyday Minerals Sunkissed fair
Alima C3
and in this foundation I can wear both 022 Cameo and 032 Rosy Beige. I would actually say that I am in the middle of the 2 shades and I have been blending the colors for the perfect shade. These are the warm pink shades. I can also get away with 021 Linen, though it was a little bit bland looking on me. I also tried 010 Ivory and it was significantly lighter than the other 3 shades I have tried, and probably more suited for a PPP but definitely try samples of this as I could not believe I could wear the level 3 shade.
The packaging is nice - glass bottle with a pretty silver top and a pump - I appreciate the pump over a glass bottle with no pump or a tub, but I can't figure out how to get the top off to get those last bits of foundation out with a brush or to mix shades... which is what I REALLY want to do. In general I really like this foundation... I wore Lancome Teint Idole for YEARS before they "improved" it (not in my opinion) and this is the only foundation I've felt comes close in wear and texture to that, and though I will continue to experiment with other foundations just because... I think this will, at least for now, be my go-to foundation.

This foundation has really surprised me...and in a good way. Usually I prefer mineral makeup foundation in a powder formula. It's been years since I have used a liquid foundation, but I wanted to experiment again since my HG Jane Iredale powder was too drying in the winter. After reading reviews and postings on the makeup board, I went to my local Macy's Dior counter to be color matched. The SA selected Cameo 22 and I initially thought the color was too pink. However, after trying samples of Cameo and Light Beige 20, I ended up purchasing Cameo. It goes on a bit pink, but seems to match my skin well after I've finished applying the rest of my makeup.
I've now been using it for nearly two weeks and just LOVE it. It wears well on my sensitive, combo skin. No oilies and most important, no breakouts.
For best results, I apply using a damp SK "peep" or with my Trish foundation brush. I then set the foundation with La Mer loose powder.
Would purchase again with any hesitations.

I love this foundation! Generally I'm a tinted moisturizer kind of girl. Mostly because I can never find a foundation that matches my skintone and doesn't look fake or overdone. After a second child and a thyroid issue I have a lot of pigmentation to cover so bye-bye TM! I went on a hunt on MUA to find some ideas for a foundation to try. I ran across this one somehow and wasn't totally thrilled to try it out but got a sample at sephora along with a few others. Well, I'm so glad I did because I love love love this foundation. I used a sample for about a week and I have now purchased a full bottle.
For reference, I use Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer in Nude in the winter and Sand in the summer.
Quick description - a hydrating foundation in a satin finish, medium coverage, slight scent, oil-free, spf 10, mineral and water based.
Why do I love this? The finish is beautiful, not matte and not dewy, just natural looking skin. Many people have said a satin finish and I agree. The packaging is great - in a pump and a very lovely bottle (it has better be for $45).
A little goes a long way. I have used a stippling brush, fan brush, and foundation brush for application. Works good with the stippling brush. The best application is with a DAMP foundation brush. I got this idea from one of the reviews above about using a damp sponge, excellent tip! I have used my fingers and it seems to set to quickly that way. If you try this foundation and don't like the outcome I would suggest experimenting with different application techniques.
This is buildable and layers very nicely so I can add a bit more to my cheeks where I have lots of pigmentation. It does hydrate as it says. My skin was dry from an attempt to use Smashbox Halo (wanted to love it but it really dried out my skin). I went to my sample of Dior and my skin was a good as new, if not better. I read that so many times in reviews and never believe it but I can now say I have experienced it and it is actually possible. At the end of the day I'm not oily or dry, just normal and no more oily in my t-zone than usual. It even held up to a painting session in my small 1/2 bathroom. I was sweating and moving around and it didn't budge. Doesn't settle into my lines or pores and comes off easily with my Murad Renewing Cleanser or Cetaphil.
The best thing is that it actually matches my skin. I always have a hard time matching my skin tone. I ended up buying 023 Peach. I tried 020 which was too neutral and ashy on me. 021 was too yellow. 022 was too pink. My skin is neither very yellow or pink and neutrals usually make me look dull. 023 peach is perfect. A bit of yellow and a bit of pink and it just melts into my natural color. I have never ever had this happen with a foundation.
Cons of this would be the price. I paid $45 but I think it is worth every penny. It only has a spf of 10 but I prefer to use my own sunscreen anyway so that doesn't bother me. It does have parabens.
I used MUFE HD powder over this to set it and it ruined the gorgeous finish. I got a sample of the mineral powder foundation that matches this line and it looks great over this when used as a setting powder. I have also heard good things about La Mer powder.
I found the snippet below from another website about some of the ingredients.
"DiorSkin Nude is a new collection of high performance, moisturizing mineral makeup - the first of its kind. DiorSkin Nude creates the illusion of perfect, bare skin thanks to its chief ingredient, Mineralized Active Water. This Mineralized Active Water contains Rhodolite, a semi-precious stone that helps protect the mitochondria and produce energy in the skin cells and aid in cell turnover. Other active ingredients include Sensiline, which is derived from flax and protects against UVA rays and Sericin, which is derived from silk and regulates hydration in the skin and Vitamins C&E."

So as foundations go I am an addict, I feel like I've tried every mineral foundation on the market right now, as my skin is very sensitive, oily, and very prone to breakouts. I went into MACY's here in the City after reading about Diorskin Nude Line.
So after wearing this foundation paired with Diorskin Nude mineral powder I am just overwhelmed by the great coverage and my-skin-but-better look this combo gives me.
When paired with the mineral powder this foundation stays put on me, even though I have the tendency to become oily towards the end of a workday. I was advised only to use a small amount of the powder and so far it's working perfectly.
I always have a few small acne flair ups (no matter what) and I was surprised to find this foundation did a good job of keeping them covered nicely (I apply with a foundation brush) for about 6 -7 hours in a normal day.
While at MACY's the beauty specialist Wilson recommended the Dior pore minimizer with moisture - I treated myself to the extra skincare product and use this on my T-zone before apply the foundation - so I am not sure if this has effect the everyday wear of the foundation or not.
All in all I have found my new foundation and I am pleased I took the chance on this one! I would recommend highly only if you pair this with the mineral powder in the same product line.

I have been wearing this fdtn in 031 Sand for last 2 weeks. It is a decent match for my skin. When I tried it at sephora I loved it.Next day I applied it with MAC190 brush and my face looked too made up. Then I read reviews here and Thanks "gphibgoddess19", I use #187 now. It does not cover some of my sunspots completely but I am fine with it. I wouldn't call this my HG but until I find something better I will continue to use Dior skin nude.
EDIT: My skin started flaking lately and after I stopped using nude fdt my skin has improved. I think this is too drying for my skin. I got guerlian's parure extreme wear foundation and am liking it much better so far. It costs $10 more than dior's ,so its not too bad comparatively and the quality is much better .

I was interested to try this as i like the idea of my skin looking like my skin but better....hence the "nude" part of the product title. I found 010 a great match for my very pale skin. I wore this for about 2 days with no problems except for some dry patches i noticed around my chin & eyebrows...but this wasnt of major concern to me as i have dry skin, its winter & i work in an airconditioned office so i put the dry patches down to environmental problems....until i realised my face had broken out in some sort of a rash - i had dark dry patches along my chin & around my mouth also on my right temple. They were very red and angry & really really dry.It turns out it was some kind of dermatits - i am still trying to clear the marks from my skin. Obviously i threw out the sample i had of this foundation & wont be ever trying a mineral makeup again - my skin has never broken out from a foundation & i rarely have reactions to products despite my skin being dry and sensitive to the elements. I am shocked that it had such an effect on my skin & i really hope the marks fade. I wouldnt advise any of my friends to try this - its nothing special foundation-wise & IMO not worth the risk of harming your skin.

I went to macy's to finally look for a foundation to cover my red spots on my face, and give me a nice even-toned complexion(i always have trouble finding the right foundations!) I have very sensitive skin, and mineral foundations seem to work for me, so that's what i based my searh on. As i was walking around a woman at the dior counter stopped me. She put this makeup on and i loved the look it gave on a patch my skin(soft, almost airbrushed look) i walked around the mall and finally came back to her and had her put it on my whole face. i told her to show me how she covered the red areas and it seemed to cover them PERFECT. (at that time i didnt have any dry patches to show through the makeup) I was sold. She told me to apply with a sponge like she did, with only about one squirt of the liquid. The next day after i bought it it was a little hard getting used to it but 2 weeks later i finally get the hang of it.
A few days after starting the makeup, it seems to show flakes i get around my t-zone(this not happening to me before with my old foundation, i wasn't sure if it was my Purpose moisturizer not moisturizing enough?) Now i'm kind of stuck because i love the way this looks everywhere on my face where there isn't dry flaking skin..im not sure if this foundation just isn't working for me or if i should just use purpose in the morning and find a good sensitive skin moisturizer for at night?!

I like this foundation ok...it has good coverage and makes your skin look glowy without looking overly shiny. I have a few blemishes and it seems to some how make them look worse (it seems to emphasize them) and doesnt camoflauge them very well at all. But it the other parts of my skin look really clear and very natural looking. Overall a good product...
