The colors of these look nice in the pots, shimmery and natural. The product, however, is hard and dry and powdery. They do not apply like a gloss or a balm, and they give your lips the appearance of having applied a powder or eyeshadow over a lipbalm. They need a little more moisture or something in 'em.

I really like these a lot. I love the unique, shimmery finish and the minty tingle and sweet peppermint taste. I FLIPPED over these for the first month or so that I had them, but I started to notice that they would "cake" on my lips from time to time and offered very little moisture. But, I love the shimmery finish and the unique shades. I have all four shades. The pink shade is a little bit bright but is pretty. The coral shade is not bright and is very unique. The silver shade is pearly and silvery and makes a GREAT over-coat for other lipsticks. The purple shade is a cool, shimmery purple that is unique but a little too purple for my taste. I highly recommend the Burt's Bees Makeup Artist Kit to try trial sizes of all of these shades before buying the full sizes.

This is grease paint, pure and simple. Thick, waxy-oily, stinging mint scented grease paint, with a matte metallic finish which looks unnatural, like the Tin Man. The Blushing Crème and Concealer have the same texture. The worst natural product I've ever tried.

This product is okay. I got the sample package, and I think its the best way to go. I know, not convenient, but its okay to keep at home. It has that minty tingle that I love, and the colours are nice and of course shimmery. Not sparkily, yay! The best combonation is Grace wings of love lipstick, topped off with Love lip shimmer.

I ended up throwing this away, and I'll never buy it again. The color was okay but nothing special, and it felt dry and flakey on my lips. Altogether, I found it a very unenjoyable product.

This was bought on a whim while grocery shopping, and I'm so glad I did! These have a great minty tingly feeling on, the colors are natural and sheer, and they are the best lip balms ever. The lid sucks, it won't stay on, but other than that, the color (love)is perfect on PPP me. You need this for those brown mascara/peach shadow/bronzer beach days (my little combo I wear when trying to look 'natural' at the beach).

i love these - they are just like the original minty lip balm, only pigmented and in small silver tins. I have this in Love (a gorgeous rusty peach color) and Joy (a plummy lilac berry color). they are creamy, moisturizing and the colors are true and flattering. very nice!

I have Love & Surrender. I am a sucker for minty tasting glosses (love Lola's & BB's lip balms) so I really like these. You do have to apply a couple of times for them to be moisturizing tho... If you dip your finger once of twice, it wont work. You have to dip your finger and rub the surface a lot to get some of it to stay on your fingertip, and you have to do this around 5 times to get a desirable amount in your lips...
That said, they are really good at healing my dry, flaky lips. I usually use Surrender under lipstick (specially nude ones) to add a bit of silver shimmer to them.... Works wonders!!!!

I like Burt's Bees, including the lipsticks, but this product was pretty much a bust for me. I have one lip shimmer, in Joy, which is an extremely frosty lavender, not all flattering with my pale/reddish complexion (made me look dead.) Also, the tin is terrible- the lid does not stay on at all. On the plus side, you'll never break a nail trying to open it!

I love this stuff! I got this to get an eye pencil freebie at drugstore.com in the LOVE shade and it's GORGEOUS over other lipsticks or alone, a rosy your lips but better shade. It's shimmery but natural. And like all the Burt's bees lip items, it has a fresh scent and taste (natural too!). The lid on the little silver tin doesn't quite lock in place on mine, so I can't carry it with.

forgot what color i got but it went on a little too brightly. What i didn't like that it wasn't a nice smooth application like i have with the balms. Also the tin is way to tin and crushed it a little on the first day. not a great product by them

Oh, my goodness. This product in "Love," a bright shimmery peach, is the most flattering lipcolor I have ever found. I do have unusual coloring though.
This lip product is minty flavored, and a bit drying. That said, it wears forever and since I love peppermint I enjoy the taste as well.

I like these but I never seem to get around to wearing these. The purple shade and the white are nice. They are a bit on the drying side so you need to apply a gloss with it.

I was disappointed in these... I got the lavender shade. It has a lot of shimmer, but the consistency is awful! Very hard, not wasy to smooth on lips at all. Won't repurchase.

Burt's Bees Lip Shimmers are their own famous lipbalms...with color added. They come in little .25oz silver tins, and are priced at about $6.50. There are 4 shades, Inspiration (sheer bright pink), Love (a sheer natural coral), Joy (sheer frosty purple), and surrender (sheer luminescent pearl.) I bought this in the Love shade and loved it....beautiful color and nice texture! Will probably buy again. Great product, great price, great ingredients...gotta love Burt's!
