I am a mascara hopper. I never seem to use more than one tube of a brand before looking for the next. However I am now on tube 6 of they're real, although I must admit I'm getting itchy feet again for a new one! Anyway here's what I love about this mascara: 1) it lasts me a couple of months using everyday. If its used right. The tube is quite wide so I tend to give the brush a swirl inside the tube before I use it and it lasts me well. 2) it gives me great results - it lengthens and separated and you can use the end of the brush to reach right the way in to the baby lashes in the corner of your eye. 3) I only need one application to achieve daytime look and tend to apply a second layer in the evening if I want a more dramatic look - because the brush has hard bristles you don't get masses of clumps doing this. 4) it doesn't go anywhere - no flakes or running during the day and I travel on the underground where it's hot and sweaty. I removed one lipstick because I do find it a little dry and difficult to remove. However it has not damaged my eyelashes even though I sometimes sleep with it on so for me the pros outweigh the cons. I would definitely recommend giving it a go.

I have a love hate relationship with this product it looks nice on the eyes but its quite clumpy and flaky which I was not fond of

Oh man, I hate this mascara with the fire of a thousand suns. For the price and the hype, it's just the biggest disappointment.
My lashes are reasonably long, dark, and curly but I love a little extra volume. This produces a conservative daytime level of volume - which can be nice, but nothing like what it promises. I prefer Clinique High Impact for my daytime drama, and it's cheaper, as well.
This feels awful on my lashes - dry, crispy, and flaky. A lot of folks don't care/notice, but I can't stand this! Also, while kissing someone, he told me my eyelashes hurt his face. :/
I had a couple lashes fall out while removing. I use oil to remove my mascara (apply, let sit for awhile while I brush my teeth, gently remove with Cle de Peau cotton and micellar water - highly recommend, removes everything sans rubbing or pulling) and the two that came out were still stuck together and crunchy after fifteen minutes of soaking in coconut oil. Horrifying. I've used dozens of mascaras and nothing has ever quite behaved like this one in terms of texture.
Now, the worst part: it doesn't stay on. You'd think that after creating a plastered mess of my lashes it would at least stay on, but no - raccoon eyes in 20 minutes, rain or shine, summer or winter. I'm not oily and don't always wear waterproof so I assumed this would be OK. Nope. Heaven forbid I rub my eyes.
It sucks because I really liked the brush. Buxom's other mascara has a similar brush and it's wonderful (but that formula is really "daytime" and sheer, more a tint than anything).

This is my go-to mascara. I have re-purchased several times already. I like the way it makes my somewhat sparse, lighter-colored lashes long and dark and defined. I find that it is easy to use and gives me dramatic results every time. I do not use any other mascara anymore.
-it does make my eyelashes feel a little bit "crispy." I understand that this is problematic for some people, but for me, it isn't a big deal
-it does take a moment to dry completely. If I sneeze of blink strongly before it has set, I will invariably get a small amount of transfer to my lower eyelids. I keep Q-tips and eye makeup remover on hand to remedy this because...
-...once it sets, it SETS, believe me. It does not transfer, smear, smudge, or run, and plain old soap and water isn't enough to remove it completely. You'll need a dedicated eye makeup remover.
I have recommended this product to a number of my friends (I am a great product proselytizer), and they have all been amazed and impressed.
A few tips: after my full-sized tube was stolen out of my makeup bag at work TWICE (ew. who steals someone's mascara?), I only buy the small tubes now. They last me about 8-10 weeks of everyday use. When they start to get a little clumpy at 6-7 weeks, I add two DROPS of saline solution to the tube, and it lasts a bit longer. I only do this once per tube for safety reasons, but my eye doc approved this method, so there you go.
I was wearing this mascara when my fiance proposed, and despite the tears (and believe me, there were tears), my mascara did not run. I'll be wearing this on my wedding day, and for a long time after that.

I got this in the birthday gift thing from Sephora and I've always wanted to try Benfit products, so I was eager to try it. Even with curling my lashes beforehand this mascara didn't do ANYTHING for me. It clumped, it smudged, it made my lashes crispy, and the little spikes kept poking me in the eye when I tried to get full coverage. I'm glad I got a free sample, because otherwise I would be pissed if I bought this and wasted money on it.

I loooooove this mascara. I got it from sephora's birthday gift and it was awesome. The mini tube lasted me a month, and my lashes looked longer and thicker and not clumpy at all. It didn't leave black flakes under my eyes and it stayed on my bottom lashes all day. Even my dad noticed that my eyes looked cleaner (he doesn't notice anything. However most mascaras tend to get all around my eyes).
My only complaints are, the brush's spikes are REALLY sharp. I'm not too clumsy, but whenever I would mess up my mascara with this brush it would hurt pretty badly. There's a little spike ball at the end of the wand which is cool for removing clumps but it really hurts if you hit yourself with it. Luckily the tears wouldn't wash it away. I used Vaseline to get it off, it would take a lot of rubbing though. But that's a small price to pay for mascara that lasts 12+ hours.
I would repurchase if it werent for the price, I can't afford to buy this mascara every month (although I have never tried the larger tube) when I can just use drugstore mascara and it isn't that big of a diffference.

eh its alright not sure what all the hype is about i got the sample size for my sephora bday gift it isnt very black and doesn't volumize very well the little spiky ball at the end always is goopy with product so its hard to apply its not waterproof so it doesn't hold a curl on my straight lashes and smudges on my lower lashes overall im glad i got this for free my covergirl lashblast does a way better job and is alot cheaper will not repurchase

LOVE THIS MASCARA!!! My first impression was not great. I thought it was crappy and clumpy and icky. but the second time I used it and on, I have been in love!!!! All I can say it is worth the price. iT doesn't clump too bad. I personally like a tiny bit of clumping. but you can use this sparingly and it won't clump. it lasts all day. it does make you eyelashes a little brittle. That is one of it's few cons. another one is it is not extremely black. but being blonde. I dont have a prob with it. it super smooth during application. that's all I can really say. I totes recommend it!

I really like this mascara. It's the only one I'll use right now despite the higher price. It's not perfect, but worth the setbacks in my opinion. When I first got it, I thought it was clumpy and not worth the price, but after a while with some practice, it became my favorite. When used correctly it really lengthens, separates, and slightly volumizes my usually wimpy lashes and makes them look very nice. It makes it easy to get all the little lashes at the edges that I could never get to stand out with other mascaras. If you have it and don't like it, I'd recommend you give it another chance with fresh, clean curled lashes. My only complaints is that it's pretty difficult to remove- it takes a lot of tugging and work, even with a makeup remover. Also it doesn't add as much volume, but I'm fine with that.
Overall- it makes my lashes look MUCH better than all the drugstore mascaras I've used, maybe even like false lashes! I will repurchase and recommend to friends!

I like this product, I wear it more for a night out as feel it's quite drying for long use during the day, it wears best for a couple of hours max. I also feel it's over priced as it dries out very quickly in the tube - no I don't pump it, leave it open, expressively open and close it etc it just dries quickly, so you get a max of 2 weeks daily application from the small sized tube (retails at about a tenner) no great value for money compared to some other (both more expensive and cheaper brands) the product made my lashes look long and separated, they're already quite long but this gave more definition and is a lovely glossy black on application, as I said it does dry your lashes though, so the glossiness doesn't last but the hold does, especially if you curl your lashes it gives a slight "fixed" texture. The brush I liked, I can understand why people don't, but I felt it was good at covering all my lower lashes, can be tricky on corner lashes on your upper lash line so have cotton buds at the ready. Not my favourite but not the worst mascara I've used either, better for evening wear, it does smudge slightly but I often have heavily lined eyes so wasn't a problem for me to be honest
