diefinitely overrated imo. i guess it sells so well because its cheap and mags love it. the brush doesn't always come out clean intead there may be blobs and such at the end of the brush. the packaging is cheesy. the black is indeed black but it didnt do much. upon first application it looked nice, it lengthened and thicked but afterwards you have to apply so many coats to get to the result of first using it. not a very good mascara.

I really don't know why this mascara has lasted so long over the years. I mean, my mom has used this forever!
The brush is way too small for my liking, and doesn't deposit enough product onto my lashes. After putting it on, my lashes look exactly the same ... just darker. And it's irritating to get off also.
I would maybe use this product if every other tube of mascara were to disapper off the face of the earth. Maybe.

Mediocre mascara. If you're going drugstore, I guess you can go with this mascara, but I really believe there are a few key items to splurge on and mascara is one of them. If you're looking into buying drugstore mascara, force yourself over to a department store for the real thing. In reality it'll only cost a few dollars more (try Clinique, it's on the lower end of the price range, around $14, and has fantastic mascara).

Great Lash is very watery, to the point where I look like I just stepped out of a swimming pool. It doesn't add any length or volume whatsoever, and has no curling effect.

Because my lashes are naturally long, the tips sometimes touch right below my brows, and anytime I try Great Lash I wind up with black smudges underneath my eyebrows.

Also, don't you dare wear this mascara in heat, humidity or to a movie where you might cry--you'll look like a raccoon at the end of the day.

It stays wet so you can keep building it up but it clumps, flakes and looks horrible after it dries, not to mention it doesn't do anything for my lashes. I would not buy this product again.

hated this stuff. i have short thin eyelashes, so it didnt add much deninition or length. impossible to get off. i'll stick with my too faced lash injection

This is one of those love it or hate it products. If you expect your mascara to last for 24 hours, make it look like you have false lashes on, and come with a spinning brush, you will be disappointed in this.

If you want something that will darken your lashes and add subtle thickening and lengthening for an unbeatable price, you will like this.

It is an extremely wet formula, so it takes some practice and a few seconds of patience while it dries to prevent smears. That said, when carefully applied it provides natural-looking darkening and definition without a lot of clumps or an obviously "made-up" look.

The major downside is that it does flake with time or if you're someone who rubs their eyes a lot, so I would not recommend it for contact wearers.

My favorite thing about this mascara is, of course, the price. At usually less than $5 a tube (and sometimes half that with bogos), I can comfortably toss my mascara at the recommended 2 month mark, something I was always reluctant to do with pricier formulas. I definitely find fresh Great Lash beats past-expy more expensive formulas, and my eyes burn a lot less these days too.

I have noticed alot of bad reviews for this mascara- i have to disagree. I found it to be really good actually. Ok, its not as fantastic as we have been lead to believe but it's good none the less. The mascara doesn't create volume but it does add lengh and is great for an everyday mascara. If you want dramtic looking eyes then this isn't the one to use but for natural mascara it's a winner.

i hate this mascara. it clumped up my lashes after 2 coats and weighed my curl down. i should've brought the waterproof formula but seeing how the original formula works, ill pass. this was around 3$ so i thught why not. waste of money. the formula was a bit runny and the wand sucked. it was like rows of evenly spaced bristles that do nothing except make my lashes stick together so it looked like i had three lashes. on the plus side, the pink tube was cute looking, the cap is green and theres a lot of colors to choose from (i think they even made a clear verison of this...)

You'd be better off not wearing mascara. At all. This stuff is like lash glue. Ugh. Much better alternatives exist.
