I've used this off and on in the past. Yes, it's wet and requires some combing. I did read that one reason it's so popular is that it has blue undertones. Maybe it's the color, and not the formula, that explains its popularity.

After hearing from So many people that this was the best mascara on the market I decided to try it out. I mean it's cheap so why not? After putting it on I never got any wow factor. I figured I must be missing something. Fast forward to a few hours later when my eyelids mysteriously start itching. For some dumb reason I didn't realize it was the mascara until I had worn it 3 days in a row. HA! This made my eyelids dry, irritated & swollen. Something in the formulation doesn't agree with me. I need to check the ingredients. Doesn't matter because even if I wasn't allergic I wouldn't re-purchase. The best thing about this is the Pink & Green packaging.
I do love Maybelline's Lash Discovery though.

What were they thinking? They say this sells every 15 minutes in the world. Good way to make people buy it. They sucked me in!...Don't even bother with this one...I bet the dollar store has a better one. Or you are lucky and have gorgeous lashes and don't need much to help them.

Hate it, what more can I say?
This mascara does absolutely nothing for me.
The waterproof is less waterproof than the covergirl last exact "non waterproof" mascara.

I'm not sure why so many people hate this mascara and swear that it clumps like no tomorrow. I get zero zero ZERO clumps. It goes on smoothly and easily with the nice small brush. It doesn't add much volume but it does lengthen enough, which is why i use it on a daily basis. I would give it a 4 because its not necessarily the best mascara, but its very cheap so it gets a 5. But granted my eyelashes are already fairly long and dark, so that may be why it works well for me. Buy it on a bogo or something if you don't want to risk your money.

i've been using this for over a year, and i really liked it.......... so it would be more like 4.5! i had no problem with clumps, but it does come off on my eyelids sometimes. it smells gross too, but who SMELLS mascara. it curls my eyelashes, and does give them length. i think that people who have a lot of complaints about great lash don't put it on well.

Okay, this is my daughter's favorite mascara. She loves it, so when I needed a mascara recently, and the store was having a "buy one Maybelline product, get another free" sale, I bought this because my daughter loves it and I could get a free eyeshadow.
The thing is, my daughter has naturally long, dark eyelashes anyway. She only needs a mascara to subtly enhance her lashes. She likes Great Lash because it goes on smoothly and doesn't clump.
Which is true. But I don't have long, dark eyelashes naturally. Mine are short and lighter colored. I need a mascara that lengthens and thickens. This doesn't. At all. No lengthening and thickening whatsoever. It was terrible for me. No matter how much I put on, I barely looked like I had any mascara on at all. It couldn't enhance the looks of my eyes. Period.
I tried using it once, and then gave it to my daughter and bought another mascara.
I think this product is good if you already have long dark eyelashes, because it's true it goes on smoothly and doesn't clump. But if you need lengthening and/or thickening, forget it. I would never buy this again.

Horrible. Although I like the brush and the price, but this weighs my lashes WAAAY down. You can't even layer this on, which I love to do with my mascaras, because when I do it smudges. My friends thinks its my eyeliner (my HG MAC Engraved which I've been using for years now) but it's not, it's this because I had no complaints before until I started using this junk. Personally I think someone paid Allure saying this won some kind of award...this is CR*P! But for like $2 what do you expect? I should have known better....

I believe I got this on sale, i saw it in magazines, where they raved about this. I decided to go pick up a bottle, and try it out. The wand is SOO SMALL, it's tiny! The formula stinks, and with a flick of water/rain on your eyelashes, you'll have racoon eyes. The formula is watery-ish, but the fact that I gave it 2-lippies was because it DOES hold my curls for like, 10 mins, but then they loose the curl, and it gives you a lot of product & is pretty darn black. =)

It was very cheap. I got mine for $2 at Wal-Mart.
I have NO idea why make up specialists say this is a must-have.
I was very dissapointed with this mascara. It lengthens okay, and thickens okay. Washes off easily though. It good for a 12 year old who's mom doesn't want her to wear a lot of make-up, cause it's simple and not special.
It clumps, which annoys me.
Overall, this mascara isn't impressing at all.
