Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser dried out my skin and made my eye area flake so I went on a search for a new cleanser to use with my combo acne prone skin. After 3 weeks of use this is my new HG. My acne is the best it has been in months and the dryness has cleared up. I found this cleanser by sorting reviews on acne.org by the highest rating and this had the best score of any cleanser on acne.org

Really liked this product at first. But after a while using it started to dry my skin out, especially around eyes. I just was using to get my makeup off. It did not work to good, didn`t get it all of. So I had to use my makeup remover after all. Will not by again. Disappointed.

I loved this when I first used it! My skin was clean, clear, and my skin tone was even! I was so sure I found a HG cleanser. But no, after about 2 weeks of using this, my skin dried out to THE MAX. And this was the only thing I changed. Once I stopped using it, my skin went back to normal.

It just disappointed me, I even used a moisturizer to help the dryness but it didn't help.

Every time I buy a new product for my face, I always worry if the product is going to cause break-outs. Thank God this one didn't. I use it to clean off my makeup. It doesn't dry-out my face. I have to rub a little longer to rinse it off my face. It cleans out the eye makeup too (I don't wear waterproof eye makeup though). I would definately buy this cleanser again.

This is honestly the best cleanser I have ever used. I have acne prone, combo skin, and I was sick of shelling out big bucks for cleanser that just irritated my skin and gave me more breakouts. The cleanser gets all of my daily makeup off, of course the mega black and waterproof stuff always needs a little help. It doesn't burn my eyes, leaves my skin so soft, never tight, and has really helped clear my skin, because it provides such a deep, yet gentle clean! I wish it wasn't a pump, because it obviously can't travel well, but I will always use this regardless, that is what empty travel bottles are for. Cleanser, in my opinion, needs to get the dirt and makeup off your face, and not irritate your skin, and this does that. Now I can save my money for the serums and moisturizers that really make the difference.

This is a good general-purpose cleaner for someone who doesn't wear long-lasting makeup or heavy-duty eyeliner or mascara.

Huge problem for me: getting the stuff pumped out of the container. Mine was so thick it was easier to open up the whole thing and pour it out in my hand.

Doesn't rinse as cleanly as I would like, so I switched to something else. Loved that it has no frangrance.

Been happily using this for the past 15 years. It gets ALL my makeup off, even those weekend night applications.
Never leaves my skin feeling overly dry. For those that experience a tightening (dry feeling), anytime you wash with plain faucet water (hard water), you're sure to get that with almost anything . Here's a little something I do every so often, I use filtered water (store bought) and keep it at room temperature and use it in the evening to wash and rinse my face. Can't tell you how much better that feels than plain faucet water. Now, as for the amount of foam regularly, I use little on nights when my skin is relatively free of makeup or easy day, and adjust accordingly. Although I'm in my forties now, I don't feel the need to cleanse with something oiler. I have tried those expensive brands from both department stores and drugstores, but keep coming back to this one. Two reasons, 1. Gets the job done very well 2. Price. Can't beat that. One thing I like to do every week is mix a small amount of sugar with it and use a soft cotton rag to exfoliate. Just be careful not to use too much and you can even add a little honey to it. Just refreshing!

I can't believe how amazing this cleanser is--especially considering the price (I've bought three bottles over the last six months, each for around $3.75 at Target). It doesn't dry out my skin, but melts off my makeup. It's gentle, even around the eye area. I really think that using as part of my daily skincare regimen (along with a 2% salicylic acid toner, benzoyl peroxide gel & sp15 moisturizer) has really helped to clear up my skin. It's fantastic.

My one complaint is that the botlle is not suitable for travel. It leaks like crazy, if not standing erect. The bottle fell over in shower and I didn't notice. When I came in the next morning, half the product was on the shower floor. But, considering how dirt cheap it was to begin with--maybe I shouldn't complain. :|

This is a really great product, especially if your skin easily dries out from other cleansers. Be sure to mix well with water in your hands to get a real lather. I don't find it has much of a scent at all. A little goes a long way too. I definitely feel the film that the other posters are talking about, but I find if you wash your face a minute longer than you usually do, that film disappears. You can also go over with a toner at the end to remove the residue if necessary.
