I was so excited to hear that Clinique came out with the new liquid soap!Im a combo skin with rarely any pimples but lots of white/blackheads, and tiny bumps. the bar soap was great as a basic cleanser and helped my skin look clean. One pump is all you need, so it goes a long way. with an average price of $14.00 which will last you for a pretty long time, its okayyyy... but after i started using it for about 2 days, my cheeks started to have tiny clusters of bump forming which was NEVER on my face before. i rarely get pimples or breakout on my cheeks. im dissapointed. but i will hold still and give it a little more time.

I really wanted to like this because it's the gentlest soap I've ever used. However, it caused me to break out and just didn't get my oily skin very clean. *sighs*

I bought this liquid soap about 2 months ago, and I still have half of the bottle left (I use it morning and night). For me, one pump is all it takes to thoroughly cleanse my face. I LOVE the fact that Clinique finally came up w/an alternative to their bar soaps for cleansing... I found the bars so cumbersome, and they would get slimey and gross after just a few washes. Surpisingly, this liquid soap does not dry me out... and it's been cold here until the past week or so. The mild bar soap used to dry me out, but for some reason this does not. The packaging is very convenient, and I don't think the price is too bad considering it lasts a long time. Way to go Clinique... I feel like they've finally figured cleansing out :)

I was excited to use this, but to me it was too drying for my normal/combo skin. I also think that it is VERY similiar to the "Purpose" cleanser you can get at Walmart for $6.00. I do like the Rinse-off Foaming Cleanser, which they say is only supposed to be a makeup remover, but I use it everyday, morning and night, as my regular cleanser and it is the only thing that clears my skin and doesn't get it too dry.

I like this, just as I like the bar of soap and it’s great Clinique has come up with this innovation after eons of the bar soap. I think you need to use more of this than the bar for each wash so it’s probably not as economical and therefore I probably won’t buy it again. I have skin that tends to oil up during the day so I don’t find this dries it out or leaves it feeling tight. I find this to be a good basic cleanser.

I bought this recently and I do like it. I am wondering if it's a bit drying??? The packaging is great, love the pump and the shape of the bottle. The cleanser removes all of my makeup just fine, mascara and all. Seems mild and a basic cleanser. I would buy it again.

I tried this in the winter, when my skin is normal/dry. I found my face breaking out less with this cleanser (it breaks out when a cleanser is too harsh...which is most cleansers), but left a bit tight and dry afterwards. It's mild because it doesn't have all those crazy ingredients like salicylic acid that break me out, but it's still too drying. Maybe I'll give the extra mild version a shot if I'm willing to cough up the money. Or maybe this'll be just right in the summer, when my skin is more oily.

This is a great product ...but the misconception that people have about it or any other soap offered by Clinique is that it should be used to take off your makeup. This is not the case. The soap was not developed as a makeup remover...it is used as a cleanser on makeup free faces. This product is intended to remove dirt and oil...nothing else. First you need to remove your makeup with a good makeup remover ...such as " take the day off " balm ( this is for entire face) then you go to the three step. I know this because I am a Clinique Consultant. I hope this helps some of you.

It's an idea whose time has come! I've stopped using soap on my face because solid soap broke me out. For years, I kept wondering when Clinique will ever get the idea.

I tried it and it smelled like dishsoap. And although it was the mild formulation, it dried my slightly oily skin up. I added a bit of water to a teeny amount of cleanser and used it diluted to cleanse my face. It does work but I'm very happy with my Garnier Pure cleanser.

I am so glad that Clinique has finally developed a liquid soap to use instead of their bar soap! I have been using some Lancome since around the first of December and while I've found it to be OK that was just it....just OK. I've used Clinique on & off for years. I had just purchased the Repairware Night for very dry skin when I saw this new liquid soap. The SA gave me a little packet w/4 uses of the cleanser, DDML, and Clarifying Lotion # 2. Well the DDML and clarifying lotion wet in the trash but I did use all the samples of the soap and I love it. It cleanses my skin thoroughly without leaving in feeling stripped. The scent is very soft and doesn't irritate my skin at all. That's what was happening with the Lancome...the longer I used it the more intolerant I was becoming of the fragrance. I love the pump bottle and also love the fact that it "locks" so you won't accidentally pump any out. Clinique is totally rethinking their antiquated skin care line, I think. With this new liquid soap, mild clarifying lotion, Repairward Night, and SuperDefense SPF 25 normal to dry day cream my skin is very happy.............

I love this so much. I strayed away from Clinique to try out other skin care brands but my skin was never the same. As soon as this came out, I had to try it because I had been wishing for it for years because I wasn't to fond of the bar. I love this! It smells fresh, my skin feels great afterward. I am normal-to-dry and it doesn't leave my face tight. I use this with the Clarifying Lotion 2 and Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel. The packaging is superb and I look foward to using this, which was not the case when I used the bar. As for the price, $14.50 is awesome, too. Finally! My HG cleanser.

I have been waiting for clinique to come out with a liquid version of their bar soap forever and my wish had finally been granted. I love this soap, it doesn't seem to overstrip my skin and removes all traces of makeup leaving my skin smooth and ready for the clarifying lotion. However, I find that Neutrogena's Oil Free Acne Wash does the same thing for less than half the price. This is probably the one product you can do without from the 3-step line since it's just coming on and off, but the toner and moisturizer are a must.

Great cleanser from Clinique. I have normal/combo skin and this does not strip my face or give me that tight feeling after washing. This will definitely be a staple for me. The packaging is great and I love the pump. Smells nice too. Will definitely re-purchase.

I love the fact that Clinique finally gave in and made a liguid soap for the three step system. I have combo skin that tends to go a bit dry in winter and use this followed by Clinique's Clarifying lotion in #2 and Dramatically Different Mosturizing Gel. I really like the fresh feeling it gives my face, the scent is really fresh and not overpowering, it lathers a bit, doesn't sting my eyes. My skin do get a bit dry after using this, and I haven't really seen any improvement in my skin structure. It's a nice everyday cleanser with nice looking packaging.

I have a love/hate relationship with CLinique and have givin them several chances only to be reminded very quickly of why I returned the purchase everytime. I was looking for a new skin care regimen since my beloved Alpha Hydrox Original line is no longer available in stores (as per the CS dept for Neoteric) so I sucked it up, and went to Clinique AGAIN and bought this cleanser, the mild clarifying lotion and DDMG. Must say I am impressed! This cleanser is labled for dry combination skin but on the back of the bottle it also says for drier skin on cheeks and oily skin in the T zone so if you think that this is really made just for dry skin, then it may be misleading to you. THis is for normal/combo/ oily skin despite it's lable. I was really thinking this would just be another return but I just tossed the reciept out today and am not looking back! I love it! I was really afraid too since the 3rd ingredient is sodium chloride (salt is a big pore clogger) but if anything this has helped keep my pores cleaner. 6.7 oz bottle with a travel friendly pump for $14.50. Right in my price range! they will give you samples of this too if you ask...at least my SA did!

Clinique liquids are here! If you're in the US, you've been waiting a long time for these. However... I take exception to the use of this for drier skins...I believe this should be used for only the very oiliest of skins. This cleanser will strip your skin like so many others out there, and cause nasty rebound oilies. I have combo skin and found this to be WAY too drying. I don't find this to have an exceptional formulation either like I do the very mild version. It will however, get your skin super clean without upset. Haven't decided if I'll take this back or not...I suppose I could use it in some unforseen skin disaster. I won't use it regularly though. Nice bottle and pump, but again, much too stripping to be a favorite of mine.

i've acne prone dehyrated skin with dry cheeks n oily T-zone and living in a humid hot country. Always on the lookout for cleaners are r easy to foam, cleanses but does not strip skin of moisture and easy to rinse off. This new cleanser from Clinique meets all of that! Cushiony-soft foam with no strong frangrance. Love the translucent pump dispenser bottle, allows to see how much cleanser u've left. Finally a quality product from Clinique.

I noticed in a recent magazine add for Clinique that they were FINALLY coming out with a liquid facial soap similar to their bar soap. I've always liked the bar soap, but found it to be cumbersome. To my surprise, while visiting a Clinique counter I asked the woman in which was assiting me about when this product would be out for sale. She replied that they just got it in. She was nice enough to go in the back and get one for me. I purchased the one for dry combination skin. My skin is normally combination oily, but since I'm getting older (early 30's) I've noticed that my skin feels and looks dry and tight after washing. Now, I've used almost every product imaginable from cheap to expensive. I must say, I was extremely impressed with this product. My skin felt like silk after I used it. I get migraines from strong scents and their was no strong fragrance, just a light, clean smell. My skin breaks out often and this actually seemed to reduce those already annoying blemishes without any tightness or discomfort. It removed my makeup in one washing too.
This product comes in a 6.7 fl. oz. bottle with a easy to use pump. One pump is all I need to remove makeup and sunscreen. It costs $14.50. Like I said, I was very pleased with this product. I believe my search for a great cleanser is finished. If you tried a number of cleansers with no luck, I think this one may be a good one to try next. Plus, Clinique does not test on animals and you can return products if unhappy.
