This is a review for the sample in 17 magizine. I got a little sample (light medium) with a coupon $1 off! So seven dollars. You only needed a little and it looked amazing on and my skin is really dry so it was so moisturized. I didn't even need concealer! WARNING: do not use if oily skin or expecting full coverage. This is super low coverage which is what my easy to take care of skin needs. AMAZING PRODUCT need more in a tube but for 8 dollars it is fine :)

This product is more like a tinted moisturizer than a foundation. But I like it because it has the titanium dioxide sunscreen. When you first put it on it looks like it has a lot of coverage but then it smooths out to a very sheer finish. It gets oily on me, but I have very oily skin, so anything gets oily on me! The colors are accurate. I have fair skin and I got the second shade and it matches perfectly. I dust some Glominerals powder over this and it looks great. I would definitely recommend.

This product is awful!! the color on the tube does not match the color in the tube, it broke my skin out really bad. I have no more words to write, that' s how bad this product is. Generally I love Maybelline products, but not this one.

So far I've tried 3 BB creams, this one, the Garnier one and the Marcelle one. I have very oily skin and this product just did NOT work for me at all as it made my skin super oily and broke me out on my chin.
I did like the consistency of it and found that it blended well into my skin and left a beautiful finish, but has ZERO coverage. I love the fact that it has sunscreen built in and was so hoping this would work as in the summertime I don't like wearing anything heavy on my skin but it is going into my "give away" drawer.

If you don't feel like reading the paragraph - my conclusion: disappointed.

I'm a huge YouTube make up guru addict. I noticed that a lot of gurus were using BB Creams, and I wanted to see what all the hype was about. I purchased this product from Walmart in a medium shade. I was unsure if it would even match my skin tone because it came out a bit orange.

I have to say that it disappointed me. It is really runny. It didn't moisturize my skin at all, and provided absolutely NO coverage. I did like the fact that it contained sun screen, but I could have just worn a bit of my powder foundation with SPF in it and it probably would have done a much better job.

I now have the tube sitting on my shelf, going to waste. I regret buying it. For now, I prefer light foundations or none at all. No BB creams for me.

I usually use estee Lauder double wear foundation but I decided to try this because I heard so much hype about it. I was hoping that it would mostly smooth out the coloring on my face; I have red blotches above my eyebrows, red blotches on my cheeks and on my upper lip. When I put on the bb cream, my skin was still red And blotchy. If didn't smooth my complexion at all. The only thing it did was disguise these bumps I have on my cheek, but they are already skin colored.
All in all I wasn't really impressed with the product.

I absolutely love this product! I agree with many people that have said it's more like a tinted moisturizer. I basically use it as my foundation. I used to use the Maybelline Dream Mousse as my foundation but I feel like the BB cream gives way more coverage even with just 1 layer. I don't see much wrong with this product. I just wish the packaging was larger. Definitely reccomend it!

I will admit, I haven't tried an actual Asian BB cream. I definitely plan to, but haven't yet for the simple fact that I'm impatient and haven't wanted to wait for the shipping time.
Anyway, before this I had tried L'Oreal's BB cream which was a complete fail for me. So I went out and purchased Maybelline's BB cream in light to medium. I was really impressed with the color, as it matched my skintone perfectly. (I'm a light to medium yellow toned gal.) The coverage is medium, it covers my pimples and scars and almost completely reduces any redness while brightening and evening everything out. It didn't make me more oily at all, even though I have oily skin. In fact, it really helped to control my oil and even help clear up my acne because the moisture was causing my skin to produce less oil. It made my skin appear dewy and fresh, and never look oily. Towards the middle of wear time I did apply a powder just to freshen up, and it looked good. This product had no offensive odors, and the consistency was a bit runny but blended easy and absorbed into skin well. The SPF was a very good touch as well. Over all I love this product and recommend it to anyone, even those who want a matte look because with a small amount of finishing powder, you easily change dewy to matte. I am already on my second tube and almost through that. I feel this will be great in the fall and winter to add a little moisture and glow to your skin. :)

This product makes my skin look reallyyy oily! no matter how much powder i try and put on, it always ends up looking completely shiny at the end of the day. it has medium coverage, which is great for school. the colour did not really match my skin though, it was a tad too dark. i did enjoy this product for a while, and i think i will continue to use it untill there's no more, but i will definitely not be repurchasing.

I got a sample of this from 17 magazine in light/medium (which was very convenient because I didnt want to spend $10 just to try it) and I loved it! At first I was hesitant to try it because of the bad reviews it had for combination skin but I must say I love it. It gives a sheer coverage just right for school and does not make my face oily even after a whole day of using it. It covers most minor imperfections, evens out skin tone and leaves a dewy finish but feels very light at the same time despite being so liquidy. I use with a little bit of powder foundation and finishing powder to ensure it lasts throughout the day it also does not smell like sunblock like I thought it would. Overall this is a very good product

Personally, I am having quarrels with this product. Ai got it. It looked nice. Real small.

I thought it was going to make my face smooth, but it did the opposite. When I use it, my face breaks out!

Now, I would just put it under my eyes and near the hairs on my face.

Don't get this. Its a waste of money.

So, I knew that BB creams were supposed to be the "next big thing" for makeup, and I wasn't willing to shell out $50 for BB cream at that time, so I went to Walmart and bought this kind. My first impression was that it was incredibly sheer-- barely that of a tinted moisturizer. I put on three layers and it just made me look pale and didn't really cover acne that well. I put on lots of powder to set it and give it some sort of opacity. I wasn't really impressed at all. The only good thing about this product is that it didn't fade away during the day-- I had it on for about five hours and it never really changed. (But maybe that's because I had to set it with lots of powder?) So I washed it off, and the next morning, I broke out SO BAD. I normally have maybe four or five pimples on any day, and they are usually small, but on just one side of my face, I counted at least fifteen, including a very very painful one under my eye. overall this product was very bad. Not worth the money.

I got this as a small sample in my Seventeen magazine and fell in love with it! At first, I was just going to use it because I had never heard of it before and it was free, of course. I used it for a job interview I had and it looked amazing. I went as soon as I ran out to get an actual tube of it! I can't say if it actually BLURS the imperfections but my skin does look better and I got a lot of compliments. I have acne and it makes it look it's not even there. It does even out my skin tone and smoothes my skin. I'm so happy with it. I might try another beauty balm, just to see how another would work, BUT later on.
My makeup routine with it is this:
1st- My acne moisturizer (Clean and Clear Advantage)
2nd- BB Cream
3rd- Concealer (Cover Girl Fresh Complexion Liquid)
4th- Pressed Powder (Revlon ColorStay)
I'd say give it a shot, it's worth it! :)

Even though this is advertised as a BB cream, it is a safe to say that this is more like a sheer tinted moisturizer.
Feels very light and does not offer that much coverage. Compared to other BB cream's, this one is lacking in many aspects, BUT, it is a nice quick fix for those who are in a rush in the morning because it does give your skin a dewy brightened look.
It is also very light on your skin and does not feel like you have makeup on at all.
If you're looking for fuller coverage, this is definitely not the product you want to get.
All in all, I like this product when I'm looking for a quick fix in the morning or during the middle of the day, as it requires almost no blending (it goes on exactly like a tinted moisturizer), but when I'm looking for a product that will conceal my dark circles + blemishes, I would go for something else.

Love this stuff. I tried Garnier's BB cream and finally tossed it due to itchy irritated skin and heavy fragrance.

This stuff is completely different! For one thing it doesn't have a heavy scent. Next it seems to moisturize AND soothe my skin. Next it doesn't oxidize like Garnier did.

I got the Light version and it makes my skin look fantastic! It is a tinted moisturizer but it blurs my freckles age spots and redness like a full out foundation BUT it feels like I have nothing on my face!

Super comfortable, looks fantastic on and seems to have good wear. I will update if this changes but I finally think I found my HG foundation in this inexpensive tinted moisturizer.

I even like the packaging. It is an unbreakable opaque squeeze tube ideal for travel. Or the purse. I hate heavy glass jars with or without pump dispensers and this is just such an improvement.

One last point. I'm 56 and this stuff made me look younger! I did half my face and the difference is amazing. Usually foundation makes me look better but not that much younger. This did. I don't know why. Don't care either. Just don't discontinue this stuff ever!!!

Well done Maybelline! You hit it out of the park on this one.

UPDATE: Well it's been a couple of weeks, and I'm even happier with this tinted moisturizer/BBCream. No irritation and I have very reactive skin. It doesn't oxidize, and people keep saying I look wonderful. It doesn't work well over my spf moisturizer by OLAY, --the sensitive skin complete one. When I layer it, it looks disco ball shiny. By itself the BB cream doesn't so now I'm just using it on my morning naked face which certainly takes one more step out of my routine.

As others noted before me, this does work as a nice moisturizer, and leaves my skin feeling good. I do think it is mildly better but 2 weeks is too early to tell. Just that when I take it off, the age spots and freckles are fading a bit, and I'm seeing less redness I think, but it may just be my skin improved recently anyway. Who knows.

I hope they NEVER discontinue this. Oh and btw it lasts all day long. I set it with face powder on my T Zone to take care of any oiliness as the day wears on but honestly I probably don't need to. Just habit.

i love this stuff so far! i apply it with a flat top brush and then dust on some powder and it gives me a medium coverage. my only problem is i have oily skin and i love in flordia so the lasting power sucks on me. however, if i blot my skin through out the day with an oil absorbing sheet it instantly becomes like new again. this is so much easier then doting a ton of concealer on my face and feeling like a cakey mess.
