During my years of working for high end make-up companies this was the "best kept secret" among all the higher ups in the industry. We would go to fancy hotels for conventions and during the tips and chat sessions (before the actual meetings) Everyone would rave about this cleanser and it's what they all used. I tried to like it and let me just say, unless you wear NO (and I mean **NO**) make-up and you have desert-dry skin FORGET IT! It is slimy and gooey and leaves a film on your face! If you just have powder on your face it doesn't even wash THAT off so how can it wash off dirt? ICK!! Shave your legs with it if you have some!

i don't use this as a full face cleanser...but it's so perfect when i make a boo-boo while applying my make-up. i just pump out a little product on a cleansing pad and wipe away- it takes everything off and doesn't irritate my skin at all and it's a lot cheaper than most eye make-up removers

this is a very very mild face cleanser which is great only if you have no make-up on. i can't wash my face with this product whenever i am wearing make-up cuz it just won't clean my face.

I really like this cleanser. I have tried so many but I find that I do not break out with Cetaphil and my skin is not dry either.

Not good for me, it just sits on my face like jelly. Doesn't remove make-up, I don't like the feel, I just can't believe it can work for anyone! Oh well, I am glad some people are pleased.

This was the only cleanser I ever used until I found Tracie Martyn cleanser. However, I like this cleanser for when my skin is feeling a little sensitive. It doesn't give you that deep clean feeling but it's good to have around.

i got this on my derm's suggestion. its a whitish liquid cleanser, very mild and doesn't irritate my skin but it doesn't remove makeup well, and after rinsing it still feels like it left behind a film of something. i like my cleansers to actually clean so this only got 2 lipsticks from me.

YUCK! This was the worst! It felt greasy and filmy going on, didn't remove normal makeup and grime , didn't rinse off well , left my pores looking clogged, irritated my skin, left my skin looking dull and broken out. It felt like I had washed with wax!

This is definitely not the strongest cleanser on the market (it's no TendSkin!). However, I have found that using Cetaphil with a WASHCLOTH makes a huge difference. It takes off every bit of makeup, and my skin feels very clean and fresh afterwards, not stripped.

This is ALL I use to wash my face. It was recommended by my dermatologist years ago. Since using it, my skin is soft, clear and without blemishes. It doesn't remove some eye makeup - usually waterproof types - use something different for that. But this is simply the best overall cleanser in my opinion. Especially good for sensitive and problem skin.

Tried it because it did wonders on my brother who had even worse breakouts than I did. However, on me it was breakout city! Used it for like a week and threw it out.

ECHHHHH!~ Made my skin feel greasy, slimy and the total opposite of clean!

It felt more like I was washing my face with moisturizer than a cleaning product. Had more break-out after using this wash than with any other product. It has been hyped like crazy, but I can say I am NOT impressed! This is one product I can actually say that I HATE!!! eeccccccck!!!!!

This is my favorite facial cleanser! My Dermatologist gave me samples when I was on Accutane. The Clinique cleansers I used since my teens were way too drying. I have used Cetaphil faithfully since. I don't heavy makeup and Cetaphil washes it all away and doesn't leave my skin tight or dry. I rarely break out. Maybe that sweaky-clean feeling is really not all that great for your skin. Sometimes when my face is oily, I'll try one of the Clinique bar soaps and my face seems to get oilier and then I'll break out. I'll stick with the gentle stuff.

Don't expect a miracle out of this product, but do expect soft, supple skin. This is a good hydrating aid. I apply this after I use my daily acne wash. This I feel prevents my skin from over-drying. I wouldn't use this product alone, only because I don't feel it gives you a complete clean. If you need to remove makeup, I wouldn't count on this product to do the job. Unless you use it in conjunction with a toner or astringent. The Cetaphil Gentle Skin Moisturizer is another great addition to the system.

I like this product very much. I have been using this for more than a year. I have sensitive skin and my doctor recommend this product to me. It can clean my skin very well and I would not feel dry. Someone may think that this is not good, actually it can remove makeup.

I think you either love or hate Cetaphil, and there's no in-between! I'm sure it completely depends on what type of skin you have. I have combination with a tendency to break-out. This does not remove my makeup well, and I feel as if I have a coating of wax on my face after I use it! On the other hand, I cleanse my 8-yr-old's face with it and it seems to do a decent job. Ladies, I'd suggest you try Dove bar soap instead of this. It does an excellent job of removing makeup (and even oil), but rinses well, leaving you soft but with no greasy after-feel. I am a makeup artist and para-medical esthetician, and I know many dermatologists who swear by Dove - although they'd much rather sell you a $30 bottle of cleanser! Oh, and by the way, this cleanser is NOT eye area-friendly! OUCH!!!

I sometimes have to resort to this in the winter when my skin is very dry. However it is not my favorite because my skin does not feel really clean.

One of the best cleansers I've ever used. Like the name says, very gentle and leaves your skin feeling soft. Though a bit on the expensive side (equate makes the same product for far less) I'll keep going back to this one.
