Terrible mascara! The product itself is bad and the packaging is even worse. The mascara did nothing for my lashes. I curl my lashes before I apply my mascara and it actually seemed to take away the curl. It also is very clumpy and makes my lashes stick together. The packaging has no "lip" to remove the excess product. I either have to wipe the wand in tissue to remove excess product (very wasteful and messy) or keep scraping the wand on the top of the tube to remove the excess product (also very messy). I seem to come away with more mascara on my hands than I do on my lashes. I would NOT buy this product again. I would go without mascara before I'd buy this again.

It's just a big goopy mess. It's like it doesn't have that lip thing in the bottle which catches the excess mascara as you pull the brush out. Literally, it just comes out in a huge icky glob. I have to sit there and scrape like 6 times on the top of the bottle to get all the excess off. I'd throw this crap in the trash if it weren't for the fact that I wasted $7 on it. Not happy!

Well, when I first pulled the brush out of the tube I was like what....? It is kinda of tricky to use at first, but it actually really awesome once you get the hang of it. I have really thin but long lash, and I was trying to wiggle the wand from root to tip and it kept getting clumpy. The trick is you have to pull it straight through from root to tip and it give a nice, full coverage. also be sure not to swirl it around before you pull it out of the tube or it is way too clumpy. The other day I had this on and someone asked me if I was wearing false eyelashes! I love it! I layer it with my Benefit GET BENT lash, its AWESOME!

I fell into a marketing trap and bought this product because Jessica Alba was promoting it. However, it's one of the worst mascaras I've ever used. It doesn't do anything for length or volume. Way too much mascara on the brush and it totally clumps up on my lashes. It also flakes off after just a couple hours and I have black dust all under my eyes. The only good thing is that it makes my eyelashes very dark but would never ever repurchase again.

When will Revlon actually make a decent mascara ? I'm not asking for magic in a tube or even a HG mascara, just a decent usable mascara. This is in my top 10 list of terrible mascaras. I'd love to meet the genius who came up with the design for the brush, random drug test much ?????????? The brush is caked in mascara and the bristles never even touched my lashes, too much mascara, even after being wiped off 2 times !! My lashes were very black and very clumped, this mascara will be tossed. Revlon went very wrong with this one.

I live in a resort environment where I work so I travel home on day's off. Halfway home i realised I left my beloved Diorshow back at the resort. Living on a small island where dior results in a "who?" ment it was to Walmart I go. I bought this and thought I had made a huuuuuge mistake when I opened it up in my car. A tiny brush globbed with gooey mascara? You have to be kidding me. Normally I would have thrown it out the window but my desperation (mascara is the most essential cosmetic for me) drove me to make an attempt at applying it.

I could not even believe the lashes it gave me blackest black, wet looking and major volume! While it will never be my HG Diorshow for the wimpy brush included it is an amazing cheap alternative. It honestly makes me look like im wearing fake lashes (in the good way).

Try it for yourself if you are someone willing to munipulate it to make it work you will not be dissapointed!

i'm a mascara collector and i'm always buying new kinds to try them out. Revlon 3D is one of my favorites. The applicator is much smaller than the average mascara wand, which i adore. It's easier to use and more precise. I do have to wipe it off before i use it though, to avoid huge mascara clumps coming off onto my lashes. It doesn't really curl your lashes, but it definitely gives them volume and makes them longer. A lot of volume. It was only a little more than 7 dollars, and I've paid a lot more for mascara. I paid 11 dollars for l'oreals Double extend once, and i was very disappointed. It was a horrible mascara that i'm definitely not using ever again. The packaging is really cute i tihnk. It's plastic, but looks like silver and pretty sleek and small, which is convenient. It is small though which means there isn't much in it and the constant wiping off of all the excess mascara gets annoying. But overall, i am very pleased with it.

Okay, I'll start out with the positive. I gave this mascara two lippies because it makes my lashes seriously dark and seriously thick. Think Catherine Zeta-Jones in Chicago. That I'm totally down with. However, this mascara also makes my lashes stick straight out. No matter how much I curl my lashes, they just keep sticking straight out. Grrrrr. Another thing is, the brush is ridiculously small. I feel like half of it is missing. And so much mascara comes out on the brush that it's just impossible to do a neat job without first wiping off a bunch. The only way I can make this look good is if I curl my lashes, then apply a coat of mascara, then brush through vigorously with a clean spoolie brush, then apply more mascara and again use the spoolie. It actually leaves a pretty decent effect, but so much work for everyday use. And it flakes too, so that takes away from my overall score as well. I think I might try it on top of another mascara to see how it works. Just to get that extra deep black colour that I like. I will keep it in my mascara rotation for now, but I will definitely not repurchase.

I bought this on a whim without reading any reviews of this mascara (something I NEVER do...I never impulse-buy mascara). I was in LOVE, do you hear me? For seven days, I was in Luscious Lashland. WOW...2 coats, and my lashes POPPED! Dark, defined, long and dense. I posted my rave on the MU Board and was warned by all: "Wait...give it time." They were RIGHT. By the second week I couldn't make myself use it; it now appeared so dry and clumpy!!! It applied like BONG RESIDUE, all thick and goopy black tar! And the brush? What a hassle: you have to take the time, with each swipe and each coat, to make sure that you have the side of the brush with BRISTLES against your lashes (only the tip has bristles all the way around; the rest of the "brush" has a single row of bristles on 2 opposite sides, like a double-edged sword...inbetween those rows of bristles is GOOP with no where to go but your lashes!). It's just too much work:tedious, wasteful application, then likely needing to use a lash comb afterwards? BAH! I I kept reaching for my MF Lash Couture instead. SO, back to CVS it went. Such a disappointment...such a badly designed brush! So glad CVS takes returns!

I'm shocked at the low rating! The brush isn't the best but this mascara makes my lashes long and thick. When I wear it w/o foundation my eyes still pop! I like it and at $7.99 at Target I'll be wearing it for a while.

Love this mascara! Hated the $9.99 price. I should have waited for a coupon and/or sale. But being a mascara ho, I couldn't wait. Makes me look like I have thick full 60's false lashes on. Results are great with only one coat but after three coats....WOW!! I guess now I said I love it, they'll stop making it.

While I agree with the other poster's about the terrible brush, I actually really like this product. I use a defining mascara first (Maybelline Define-a-lash) and then I apply one coat of Revlon 3D after wiping the excess mascara off of the brush. My lashes look almost fake and as long as I am careful when I apply, it doesn't get clumpy. I also love how my lashes really do stay curled with this mascara unlike others.

(This is for Waterproof Formula): When I first opened the tube, I thought, OH NO. The wand is terribly stubby and the masacara was clumped on it so much that you couldn't even see bristles. I wiped it a bit and applied to curled lashes. It was tricky to figure out how to use the brush properly at first, as it is not as simple as giving a few swipes to your lashes. I did my best, but was left with many clumps. I had to comb out my lashes several times before getting my final look, which overall was indeed dramatic, very very black. However, I get this same effect using a few coats of Cover Girl's Lash Effect, with so much less effort for the same look, if not better. So why bother with 3D? I won't.

I like this. not as much as fabulash, but it does define my lashes and it makes them thicker. Its clumpier than fabulash but it makes lashes thicker... but not as long. Its ok/good... i love mascara though so i dont mind having different mascaras...... but try fabulash before you try this! FYI i have short asian lashes so any mascara that is gơod by my standards would probably do wonders for normal lashes!

This mascara is pretty terrible and I'm quite good with make-up. It was not difficult to figure out the trick to the mascara's wand but the amount of crappy mascara that actually comes out on the wand is ridiculous. It took me much longer to use this mascara than any other out there as I had to spend so much time cleaning off the wand. After applying it is a decent product but I just don't have the time or patience for it. The constant cleaning lets a lot of air in container the stupid stuff dried out in less than a week. What a waste of time and money!

My mom thought I had false eyelashes on and my eyelashes are just normal length. You just have to get used to the brush.

First, I was impressed from the wording: "17X more volume" "patented brush applicator" "Long bristles, short bristles..." on the carton.
And when I opened the thing back home, whoa! the container felt so light it was crummy. I proceeded to get the brush out of the bottle and it was already clumped, with the consistency of melted milk chocolate [brownish black was the shade], so I got a tissue paper and wiped the whole thing completely clean.
It clumped nastily in my eyelashes, it looked so bad, that I applied makeup remover and after a few minutes I was applying my old mascara. I would definitely NOT purchase again.

I had high hopes for this mascara. I thought that after all those years of Revlon *not* coming out with a new mascara, they would be cooking up something good when they did finally release something... but alas, this was a disappointment.

I'm a mascara junkie, so I first picked this up a couple of months ago when it was brand new at Target. I held off on using it (because I still had another mascara I'd just opened), but finally broke down a month ago and decided to try it.

And I must say... it was a waste of money. As other reviewers have described, the odd shape of the brush doesn't really help it do anything. And, it clumps like crazy! The formula was heavy and made my freshly-curled lashes droop like mad, and after one coat, it created super clumps. (So much for "17X volume" or whatever - yeah right.)

The only compliment I can give it is that the black is super black (which I like).

Overall, I would not repurchase... there are much better drugstore alternatives, like CG Volum'Exact, or Max Factor.

Ok..the first time I used this product, I was extremely disappointed as my eyelashes turned into complete clumps. The brush is really small (it sports very short bristles on some parts and longer bristles on other parts...its honestly the weirdest looking brush I've ever seen). I am used to using much bigger brushes like with Loreal Voluminous and DiorShow mascaras, so when I first saw this brush I kinda gasped thinking how the heck is this little thing going to do anything?? When applying for the first time, I soon realized that there was wayy too much mascara gunk on the brush, so as a solution I wiped most of it off of the brush with a tissue and tried again on clean lashes. That time the mascara worked wonders, it put just the right amount of product on the lashes with minimal clumping. My lashes are not very long, and not very thick, and after using this I could have fooled some people..What a difference! I agree that you do need to definitley work at applying this product, so that is why I gave the packaging of this product only a 1. It could have been so easy for Revlon to make it so that so much product does not go on the tiny brush, every other company seems to know how, why don't they? So at the end of the day, if you have the time and a spare tissue, it's worth it, if not go for something else like Loreal Voluminous which I find takes a lot less time to apply for good results (but not as good results as this product- but only when you work at it).

i think i may have found my HG mascara; a million products later. it takes time to put it on properly, but it's not rocket science. i haven't experienced any clumping or smudging. separates nicely without making my lashes look like sticks and it truly lengthens unlike many mascaras i've tried. highly recommend:)
