I bought Neutrogena's Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream (with SPF 15) based on the fact that many dermatologists recommend using a retinol product to keep skin looking young, and Neutrogena's Anti-Wrinkle products have been really popular, which is usually a sign that they work. I had tried Retin-A in the past, and it was way too harsh on my sensitive skin, so I figured this product would be easier to use since it's much less concentrated. Unfortunately, this product didn't work for me. I forced myself to use the entire tube, since I've heard it can take a few months for retinol products to take effect--it took me about 4 months to use it up. The product is creamy, but sinks in pretty quickly, and didn't cause any major allergic reactions. However, it did seem to cause clogged pores, giving me blackheads on my nose and chin. I did not experience any major outbreaks, but I also did not notice any difference whatsoever in a more even skin tone or reduction in fine lines or sun spots. I won't be repurchasing this product, since it didn't make a noticeable difference, and I can buy an equally effective moisturizer with SPF 15 for much cheaper.

I've been using this stuff for a couple of weeks now and believe I have found my HG moisturizer. It's nice and light, doesn't make me greasy at all, almost has a nice whipped texture. I think it has clarified my skin mildly but I've only been using it a short time to be able to tell. Hasn't broken me out as far as I can tell. I do recall buying this a few years ago and had a problem with small whiteheads. Can't be sure if ti was this though, but this time around does not seem to be causing that. Update: Still using this and still loving it. This hasn't caused any breakouts for me and provides just the right amount of moisture w/o making me greasy. Plus, I will note that is has continued to clear up old acne marks on my skin.

bought this as a set with the fresh foaming cleanser and the eye cream.. thought i should inform everyone... the actual spf cream for the face contains ceatyl and cetearyl alcohol - both highly comodegenic.. according to www.cosdna.com where u can find almost any make up product and it will display the list of ingredients as well as let you know how comodegenic and irritating each one is... this does cause pores to become clogged so if you already have a problem with blackheads.. or even if you don't - you're most likely going to see a lot more tiny white bumps start popping up.. it's a shame all i'm using from the pack is the eye cream b/c the face wash has sodium chloride in it which according to another website is comodegenic as well although the cosdna website doesn't say it is... confusing huh.. well.. i'm sick of breaking out so i'm not giving it a chance... it's amazing how many body washes, face washes for acne, etc contain ingredients that just clog your pores.. even when they say they are non-comodegenic - if you don't know what to look for in the ingredients you'll never know.. i was suprised to find out my NYC sunny bronzer has been giving me tiny white bumps on my neck.. because of certain ingredients in it.. do your research ladies - can't always trust what people say on MUA although i love this place... it's just not enough if you have acne - you need to do the research on ingredients and really avoid things that have high levels of comodegenic ingredients.

Yikes! Flash forward! I used to love this original formula, came back to it and holy wow, it breaks me out! What on earth is that all about? Teeny whiteheads, new ones daily. Took me a minute to decide if this was the problem or if it was the new Maybelline pressed powder I bought. Started by eliminating this and bingo!, skin back to normal within a 48 hr period, no joke. Surprisingly, the CVS knock off of Neutrogena's Deep Wrinkle daytime cream is a fabulous bargain buy for me and is what I started using again to test out whether or not this cream was the reason for my skin woes. Headed to CVS tomorrow to return this stuff and buy a new tube of the CVS brand Deep Wrinkle, higher SPF too and paraben free, I recommend it ladies :)

This product is a little miracle worker. This was the first retinol product that I have used well other than retin-a as a teenager. I liked the way it felt when I smoothed it on my skin. Within the next few days my pores became less visible and my skin tone evened out and had a slight healthy glow to it. My skin felt fabulous, younger, it is radiant and it looks better than it has in a few years My mom told me my makeup looked nice and I was not wearing anything but this product at the time. I felt super happy I felt confident sometimes leaving the house with no makeup on and felt great about it. I told my mom and my friends about and Makeupalley because this site is what compelled me to try it and I will always remember that! Tears I would suggest this for you are a virgin with retinal products or are young and looking for a retinol to start with. after two weeks of continued use both AM/PM I've noticed a significant difference in the smile line on the right side of my face, as well as the single wrinkle that once dominated the middle of my forehead.
The smile line has almost completely disappeared, while the forehead wrinkle has diminished significantly enough that I don't worry about foundation or powder accentuating and settling in that area anymore. I'm not sure if this was due to the Retinol A, or if perhaps my skin lacked moisture and is now fully moisturized and has therefore plumped the skin to alleviate the appearance of these lines.
This works well as a base for makeup!!!as it absorbs immediately and does not rest on top my skin. I have had no negative side effects on my skin (so far) and the texture and tone has improved greatly; I require less foundation and only exfoliate twice a week rather than every other day.
The packaging could be better---an airless pump bottle would be nice. Price is hefty for a drugstore product, but less expensive than a department store. However, with the results I've received, I'd gladly pay more.

For anyone looking to help prevent or soften the signs of aging, or possibly just wanting a smoother, brighter, more even-toned appearance, give this Neutrogena cream a try., based on other reviews, the cream seems to work well for older women as well as younger gals But my face is clear and has never been better. If you're looking for something that will help with your acne, this is definitely a great and effective product.I have since moved on to Differin but I will always remember how much I LOVED this and this is a great start and one of the best otc retinals you can get at the drugstore. It just got to the point that I needed something stronger..but girls this is where you start to prevent wrinkles a retinol and spf it begins here

Absolutely amazing. This is the only product that has ever improved my acne after 13 years of trying everything (drugstore and prescription). My skin tone and texture has improved as well. I've been using it for about two months and plan to try the night cream as well. Holy grail at last!

I love this cream it has retinol, green tea, multi vitamins, and spf. I would love this more if it had a photostable spf in it like the creams with helioplex. I love the creamy texture it doesn't make my oily skin any more oily. I'm 20 years old and have some acne scarring and this cream really helps to smooth out my skin. I hope this cream is never discontinued. I prefer it to the cream with glycolic acid since that cream is thicker and obscenely greasy.

I'm 15 and I'm already developing some premature wrinkles on my forehead. My skin is a lot softer and my lines have smoothed out a bit. It's also helped my acne scars a bit. It doesn't make my face feel greasy and it doesn't break me out. I use this day and night but I think I'll get the night one next cause I already have spf in my makeup.

I'm 16 and I'm already developing some premature wrinkles on the forehead and laugh lines around the eyes...I know, I know. That's pretty bad. After reading the reviews on here I decided to pick this up. I've only used this about a week and I'm already seeing results! My fine lines have a softer appearance and are already smoothing out a little. My few acne scars and large pores look smoother as well. This moisturizer also gives a great glow to the face without making me look greasy. I get some acne every once in a while and I don't think it does anything for that, but it doesn't worsen the problem either. All in all, great product. I use this day and night right now, so I'm going to purchase the night version of this next and see how they work together.

After reading all the great reviews on this...I decided to give it a shot.

I am impressed! I have been using it for 2 to 3 weeks now and it had faded some acne scarring, reduced the flakies on my nose and hasn't broken me out.
I started using it once a day (morning), but I like it so much that I use it at night now too. My face has not been irritated by the retinol at all, but it seems to be working.
I am not a fan of the packaging, or the fact that you don't get that much for the price, but its better then some high end brands I have tried, so I will stp complaining.

Yes, I will be buying this again!

I have been using this moisturizer for quite a few years. I originally started using it after the moisturizer I bought made my skin feel itchy and irritated. I went into my mom's medicine cabinet and found this. Thinking it would only be a temporary use since it is an "anti wrinkle" moisturizer, I began using it everyday. I haven't stopped since. I love the creamy formula, it spreads and sinks into my skin better. My skin can be pretty dry, but is never flaky when I use this. Also, it contains SPF 15 but doesn't make my skin look chalky or white at all, even in photos. Overall, I love the formula of this moisturizer, it doesn't break me out, and it has SPF. I love it, and highly recommend it.

I love this. I wear it under my makeup everyday, and it's the first moisturizer with spf that has not made my skin super shiny. By the end of the day (after about 10 hrs) I will have some shine, but that seems pretty normal to me. This doesn't irritate my skin, and does not cause me to break out. My skin is somewhat sensitive, and my whole life dermatologists have recommended neutrogena as one of the best drugstore brands to use for skin care, along with cetaphil. I'm not sure if it's helping with wrinkles as I don't really have any yet, but it does give my skin somewhat of a plumping effect. I got the generic version of this from walmart for about $6, love it. I also like that when you open the tube, you have to break a seal, the same kind of seal that is on most topical acne medications I've used. To me this ensures that the formula is fresh.

Really surprised at how well this has worked for my skin. My skin is pretty sensitive and I'd never tried a retinol product before, but after using this a few weeks my skin adapted to it and I've really noticed my complexion looking more even and smooth, and my pores are smaller. Not breaking out as much and it has not been over drying so far. Just started using the night formula as well. I tend to get oily in my t-zone but this does not make me look oily at all.

I don't know if I had a bad tube of it but it came out chunky and watery and it didn't absorb very well. I find my skin looks better using Olay Regenerist.
Update: I found the original formula of this without spf and like it so much better!

I have been using this product for about 4 months. I love this moisturizer. In fact, I love neutrogena products. I have very oily, sensitive, acne prone skin so maybe that's why I love neutrogena. Most moisturizers leave my skin feeling greasy and suffocated, but not this one. I use it every morning after I wash my face and after that I use my neutrogena skin clearing liquid foundation. With anything else I would get greasy within an hour or 2, but I can last a day with both these products. My only problem with this moisturizer is I wish it was had spf 30 instead of a measly 15.

Unsure yet, as short-term use has yielded mixed results. This mousse-like cream offered the retinol and spf I wanted with a reasonable price tag and good reviews. I've used it for approximately 2 weeks and have had breakouts and very oily-looking skin. I have 30-year-old combination, sensitive skin that is acne-prone but rarely breaks out with the right products. Could this be purging? My skin doesn't feel oily, but no matter how much I blot, it looks embarassingly shiny. I'm sticking with it for a while only because this is contrary to so many other reviewers- and I want it to work out! Has anyone else experienced this? Will update.UPDATE: not sure if I can keep it up. I developed terrible cysts in strange locations (under my eyes) that are very large and red, the kind that leave scars. I haven't had a cyst for years- my usual breakouts are small red bumps that go away quickly. I may try this again later, but for now, I give up. Hopefully its just purging! UPDATE: my skin is still recovering from this. The cysts are taking a few weeks to heal and are leaving red marks. For years, I've been able to wear just powder foundation, as my scars had finally faded- now, I'm starting at square one and am very upset. Purging shouldn't mean large, scarring cysts!

I really, really like this! I've only been using it a few days but with my super sensetive skin I usually know if somethings going to cause problems within the first few hours of application. I also have very dry skin and for the 1st couple times using it, applied a small amount of the lotion I'd been using prior (CeraVe moisturizing lotion) on top but have switched to only this. Now, I don't know how big a "pearl sized" amount is as a pearl can be various sizes. I'd say I use about a dime size for my face and neck. My skin is already smoother and softer. I don't really have any wrinkles yet to watch to see change but hopefully this will stave off any. And best of all, NO SCENT! Note even tell-tale SPF scent (the reason I was using SPF free CeraVe - I hate the smell of SPF).

I don't love the metal tube it's in but I'm assuming there's something about Retinol that requires a tube like that.

Will repurchase.

LOVE this moisturizer. It is my HG and I am picky. I tried it simply because of reviews here and thought I should come back and leave a review after having used it now for 6 months. I was simply looking for a lightweight, non-greasy, well packaged, affordable moisturizer with sunscreen. This met all of those expectations and then some. It is far better than more costly products I've tried from Murad, Clinique, Lancome. It moisturizes well (but I don't have overly dry skin so keep that in mind) and is still lightweight when applied. I am very picky about not liking to feel anythin on my face and I don't at all with this product. The added benefits that I've seen over the course of using it daily for 6 months is a decrease in fine lines, very even skin tone and texture, and not a single breakout. I have fairly good skin to begin with but have battled all of the above issues occasionally. I could not be happier with this as a moisturizer and my skin has not looked better than with this product. It is also well priced and because of it's slightly mousse like texture it lasts for a long time.

I bought this product several years ago but didn't use it continuously. I have been using this product for the past few months and I LOVE IT!

I bought this mainly to treat my acne. I had heard that a consequence of using retinol is reduced acne because it speeds up cell turnover so much. This has really helped my acne since a major cause of my acne is clogged pores. So I started a regimen of salicylic acid alone, it worked well but not well enough. Once I added this cream to the regimen, oh my goodness the results were great!

My skin is greatly exfoliated. I have no blackheads left on my nose. Over the months I have been able to extract those deep, impossible blackheads, sorry for the TMI. The blackheads on my chin have also been dramatically reduced.

My skin is smooth, blackheads are almost completely gone, and I have not had a major cystic breakout in forever. I was so encouraged by this line I also looked into the AHA face lotion.

The creme itself is not too thick or greasy, but I've only used it during the fall/winter months so far. I can easily put makeup over it. It also doesn't have a scent which is a plus!

The container is a metal ointment style tube that you push the product along, similar to how you would a toothpaste tube. This keeps the product highly effective as long as you screw the cap on tightly. Only thing is that once you're towards the bottom the sides crack and open a bit possibly decreasing the efficiency of the product.

Overall definitely give this product a try! I did/do have a little flaking, redness and sensitivity but the results are worth it!
LOVE LOVE LOVE!
