I had been really excited to see Masque from Alexander McQueen's Fall 2007 collection for MAC. The official description, "rosy dirty pink," sounded right up my alley! Unfortunately I just can't pull it off (and my MA agreed.) I wouldn't say that it's too pale for me, but maybe it just wasn't rosy enough or pink enough for me. I'm fairly cool-toned (NW 15) and Masque just seemed to clash with my natural lipcolor and skintone. And it even seemed to make all the redness in my face look worse and more prominent. It was just not enough rose and not enough pink on me, but I guess that just leaves "dirty" from the description. I wish it had been a nice pink nude like everyone else is seeing on their lips, but it was neither of those things on me. At least it didn't feel awful on my lips, but few MAC lipsticks do. Try Masque out before you buy it, especially if you have a skintone like mine that tends to be a little red. Even though I was prepared to love it, Masque just didn't love me back.

This is a gorgeous neutral lipstick, light pink and perfect for most skin coloring. Wow, I haven't been this excited since the lingere collection when it comes to a light color. BEAUTIFUL!

This is a great nude pink lipstick! The first time I saw it in the store, I thought it was pretty insignificant looking after swatching it on my hand. Masque reminds me of Out to Shock because of how pale it is. The second time I actually tried it on my lips (Reference: NC30, olive complexion, brown hair, brown eyes), it looks like that gorgeous nude pink lipstick I have been dreaming of!!! Does not make me look dead at all and compliments the ever popular smokey eye wonderfully! Can be a bit drying so a lip balm pre application helps a lot!

I thought I would like this a lot as it looks gorgeous in the tube, but it looks so pale on my lips imo. I don't know. Maybe I need to try it a few more times. I am about NC35. I have olive complexion, dark brown hair and eyes.
Also this lippie doesn't feel as smooth as a lot of the others. I love a lot of MAC l/s, but this is just ehhhhh.

The site makes this lipstick look so dull but it's really quite nice in person. If you ever tried Viva Glam II and thought it was horrrible because of the ashy gray tone but you wanted a nude pink lipstick... this is the lipstick for you! I LOVE it.
I'm a NC30, LM Sunny Beige, and Stila 40 watts... this is the perfect nude pink. It doesnt make you look dead because it has the right amount of pink but it's quite sultry because of the demi matte nude tones in it. I found it quite long lasting and very pigmented. My only slight rant is the McQueen decal on it... It's black!! I love the lettering but you can hardly see it on the tube.

This lipstick is from the Mcqueen collection and although the description claims to be a "rose dirty pink" I find it to be more of a dusty rose pink. I was quite suprised at how beautiful and flattering this is. Its a satin formula that wears well, feels kinda creamy and is not drying in the least bit. For reference I am NC15 by MACs standards, and in both MUFE face and body and mat velvet I am shade #20. I have hazel eyes and blonde hair. Upon first glance of this lipstick I thought oh just another pink lipstick but when I put it on I fell in love. I have had non stop compliments on it and this is already becoming one of my favorite lippies:) I dont mind the packaging or the smell of MACs lipsticks and I hope they make this one permanent!!
