After reading all the rave reviews from MUA, I went ahead and purchased this foundation ( I've been using Diorlight, and loved it). According to the SA, this foundation is supposed to give light to medium coverage, which is great coz I recently started to breakout, and have some embarrassing scars and blemishes to cover. It's also suitable for all skin types ( I have combination skin), so I thought, "perfect!"
When I applied it in the morning the next day, it went on nicely. Even though it didn't cover as well as I thought it would, it was still workable, just needed some concealer. However, after an hour or so, my skin started to feel really dry, and the area around my eyes and corner of my mouth started to crack. When I looked in the mirror, my face looked ashy and I had no radiance ( as opposed to the healthy glow that Diorlight gives).
Anyhow, I gave it a second try the next day, this time I applied it with a foundation brush, then smoothed it out with a beauty sponge to make sure that I didn't apply too much product, and that it was done "right"... unfortunately, the same thing happened.
I'm sure it's a good foundation, otherwise it wouldn't be getting all these great reviews, I'm just really disappointed that it didn't work out for me.

This foundation is amazing! It matched my skin PERFECTLY. It didn't look like I was wearing foundation even in the sunlight.
The staying power is pretty good for about a work shift. Definitely not an overnight survivor.

Great foundation- gives good coverage while still feels very light. Also gives very good sun protection which is important for me all year round.

This is a very fluid not thick liquid foundation that has a strong smell. Prior to visiting the dior counter for a match, I have always been told I have warm yellow undertone skin, NC25ish for reference. I never quite felt that I had a good match in any of the 10+ brands I'd tried for foundation, and come to find out the SA told me I am neutral, not yellow, so no wonder! Finally I have a foundation that doesnt make me look washed out. It dries quickly so you have to work quickly with it, and I use 3 pumps to cover my whole face. I stipple it on with a brush, and set with powder. I have very oily skin so I do have to blot midday, but it lasts for the work day and is not shiny which is a must for me.

Quite good foundation, nice coverage, matte finish. It lasts for about 6 hours. I have to use compact powder every 2-3 hours(my skin is oily).

I LOVE this foundation!!
I went to Sephora looking for a new foundation because I am on the hunt for my HG one! I have ACNE, combo skin with dry areas bc of my acne medication so it's really hard to find a foundation that covers my scarring without being too heavy. I got a couple samples of this along with the DIOR NUDE one and I love this one!!
Coverage: Medium to full! Covers fine lines and pores! Natural flawless finish. Semi- Matte. I have really bad acne scarring and redness all over my face, and I get embarrassed to go out especially when I am breaking out horribly! However, once I put this foundation on, I feel like a new person! It covers and doesnt sink into my pores. It looks like I have a clean, non scarring face and perfect skin. Not heavy at all! My mom was even like "WHOA! What did you do? " LOL . Ahh the magic of makeup! ( I think you could get a light coverage for this aswell, if you just use a little =] )
Longevity: 8 or more hours I would say! It really lasts a long time for me. Just remember to set your makeup with a powder and/or spray after you apply! I put this on in the morning around 10ish and it lasts most of the day. If I am going out at night, I would just oil blot, then re-powder with MUFE duo mat powder. I also use urban decay All Nighter Spray if I want some extra staying power.
Color: I am a NC30-35 ish and in this foundation my color is SAND 31. I think it matches me perfectly. Just enough warm yellow undertones!
Texture: Not too thick or thin. I would say it has a good consistency. It goes on smooth and flawless.
Skin: I have acne prone, combo skin. Dry in some parts and oily on my nose sometimes. I don't find this foundation to highlight any of my dry areas which is great for me. Even when I am in a hurry and fail to put moisturizer, it still looks pretty good! (If your skin is dry, I suggest putting a good moisturizer just in case! )
Packaging: Clear bottle with a pump! Yay! We all love our pumps!
Price: At sephora it's $46 USD. Kind of pricey, but I love it!
Application: clean face--> moisturizer--> primer--> foundation time:I apply my foundation using a damp sponge. I damp my beauty blender then sqeeze out the excess then pop some foundation on then stipple and blend all over my face. I get a smooth and flawless application that way. I also get medium to full coverage (trust me, that's what I need, to hide my imperfections lol) without looking cakey or heavy. Then once, I am satisfied with how I want to look, I set my makeup with some translucent powder or my MUFE duo mat, then do the rest of the routing aka blush, etc.
Overall: I am obsessed with this foundation. MY HG!! I tried so many things (Nars, Merle Norman, Lancome, Bare Minerals, Givenchy, Maybelline, MAC, Estee Lauder , etc. I love trying and finding the best foundation) and I keep going back to this! Makes my skin look flawless, wonderful, natural and makes me feel BEAUTIFUL!! I will buy this again unless I find something more amazing! (Will update if I do! )
Get a sample from sephora, or anywhere you can if you have a chance, to see how it work with your skin! I hope you like it!
Hope this review helps! =]

I have been using this for about 5 days now (shade 020), and even though it is a little early to see long-term result, I am sharing the experience so far (27/09/2011: Yep, I wear it almost 2 weeks daily, in hot weather and in colder, the review is the same).
- - - EDIT 29/03/2012: Although I leave the rating, I am no longer as satisfied with this product as I used to be. It dries my skin much more than I can accept. I have been unemployed for some months, so I do not use makeup daily. It also means I am not exposed to the harsh winter wind and cold and temperature changes as I was when commuting daily to work. I have been wearing makeup about 3 days per week, for less hours than my usual 11-13 when I was working and spending time in more "human" conditions. Yet my skin is so parched and I cannot imagine how my face would feel if I wore this as I did my ELDW when I worked. Try it but be careful. - - -
--- Application: the product is not meant to be runny when you use it. Not water-like. Please check the bottle, it requires you to shake well before use. It separates in the bottle, because it was made that way, but you shake it and it gets creamier. At least on me it does.
I use 1 pump on the back of my hand then pick it up with my MAC 187 and quickly do half my face. A little stipple, just to get the product on and then immediately circular buffing motions. Then another pump for the other half and a 3rd pump for the neck and touch-ups (like to cover fresh ace). For reference, the MUA demonstrating this on me used the Dior foundation brush (to me it seemed something between a MAC 190 and 191) and 3 pumps in a spatula thingie. I follow her example and use it as an under eye concealer and also on my lid to get uniform colour. I would advise caution though. Alcohol is the 3rd ingredient.
It dries faster than the word "fast" can tell, so have a mind. Even faster than my EL Double Wear.
After this I use a touch of my Clinique concealer to brighten up the eye and on top I use the slightest touch of my Chanel loose powder to set it, mostly on my T-zone.
I follow my normal procedure to take it off at night, that is makeup remover in cotton pads, no toner and washing with a mild cleanser. I am happy to see so much product coming off, and it is no more difficult to clean it off than any other product I have used.
--- Result/Longevity: I get light/medium coverage this way. I can certainly see little red of my fresh acne, I need a little touch-up to cover it. But the rest of my skin gets even-coloured, my soft older acne scars are gone and my pores seem "filled in" and smaller. It seems to glow, not dewy-glowing, sort of matte-glowing if it makes sense.
I use 020 and matches my skin well. I thought it oxidises and turns darker, but I used it on half my face and left my other half bare for some hours - no difference in colouration. So I guess in me it does not oxidise. Although I am not tanned I will have to see if it will match my skin tone in winter.
It lasts FOREVER. I even took a nap on my husband's lap, and although I could not see any smudge on his clothes (about the same colour as the foundation - pity), I looked at the mirror and the makeup seemed in place. Even the blush seemed not to have moved. When I speak on the cell phone I can see "something" on the screen, but when I blot there is no colour on the blotting paper. I cannot explain this, so I leave it for you to evaluate.
I like to add another touch of powder on my T-zome after about 2 hours, but it is not necessary and after I do I am fine for the rest of the day. As others have mentioned before does not budge in hot humid environment. I love it for this.
It has not caused me any breakouts BUT it does seem I need more time to treat my existing acne now that I wear this daily.
--- Claims: The SA who sold this said that it has a technology that absorbs extra oiliness from where it is required and add hydration on any dry places **** EDIT: This claim is for the NEW Forever, although she sold me the old one, so the review is for the old formula **** . I certainly did not see anything of the sort. On the contrary, I get oily T-zone quite early and it dries the rest of my skin. YOU MUST HYDRATE and then hydrate some more before you use this. I use a hyaluronic acid serum and a rich day cream on top, no primer, and then this. Another thing: I did 3 different makeups one day, taking everything off and reapplying it (including the hydration products and this foundation). Let me tell you than 1 application a day is enough, do not take it off and reapply. 3 uses in the day left my poor skin parched and "strained" like invisible forces pulling it in different directions, ready to tear it off. Sounds melodramatic but it is the closest thing to the sensations. It makes sense, every time you apply the fresh ingredients work to dry the skin again and again and again, no matter the new hydration each time.
--- Packaging: Simply lovely and classy. I gave the packaging a 4 because it is glass. It is not a bad thing in itself, but it is a product that is meant to be seriously shaken before application, so the risk of falling (or hitting) increases, so I would have been more comfortable with a plastic container (hello Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua). I cannot tell if it is opaque or not so to see how much remains, and I cannot comment on the way to get the last bit of the product out, perhaps it works fine? The pump is great and it is convenient to my needs, 3 pumps is exactly how much I need, evenly spreading the quantity to the relevant thirds of my procedure (does that sound funny or what?).
--- Overall: It is quite pricey. I find the results better than my EL DW. Now that I have something to compare DW seems more like a mask while this, although you can tell you have makeup on, is more natural, light and glowing. I am happy with my purchase, but I would not buy again because I do not think it is HG stuff for me and I will conti

I find this foundation rather average, especially compared to the DiorSkin Nude foundation. This one is longer lasting, but it is also even harder to remove, which makes this a nightmare for people that are prone to clogging pores. I feel like I need to do a deep cleansing ritual every time I wear this foundation and the fact that it is hard to remove makes me less prone to use it. I do appreciate the colormatching system from Dior and the packaging is also gorgeous, as with any other Dior products, but this one has deceived me a little. The perfume can also irritate my nose and eyes, so I have to be careful when I apply it onto my skin. All in all, this is below Dior's standard in my opinion and I will not repurchase this.

Not for us pale ladies! I bought the palest shade (I'm NW10) and it looked fine on the back of my hand when I was blending, but this stuff oxidises like nothing I've ever seen. So orange!! Smells a bit chemically too, much prefer EL Doublewear for a long lasting finish on my combination skin.

This product is good. I bought it initially because I wanted the "Monica Belucci" look (on my Caribbean NC42 skin...damn near impossible but one can dream....*sigh*...in shade 040. The coverage is okay. Two tiny pumps should do it. The best way to apply this product is with my hands. If you are going to buy this foundation, use your fingers because the heat will spread the product better plus it will set better. It's very close to my Guerlain HG's (Lingerie and Parure) but sadly...no cigar.

After reading a lot of raving reviews about this product, I decided to try it for myself. I'm a huge foundation junkie and am always on the search for a great full coverage foundation.
I hadn't had the opportunity to try many Dior foundations before and the only other Dior face product that I owned was the Dior Compact. I chose the same shade as the compact that I had, which was in 021 Linen and the color match was perfect for me. I am an NC 25 in MAC Studio Fix Fluid and MAC Prolongwear and a 120 in MUFE HD Foundation for reference.
Upon first application, I fell in LOVE with this foundation. I do apply the foundation after applying a primer and the foundation seemed to melt into my skin. I used my fingers to warm up the foundation first and then to blend into my skin. The coverage was perfect and it made my skin look absolutely flawless without looking mask like. It also felt so incredibly light weight that I didn't even feel like I was wearing foundation.
It hasn't made me break out although I have quite normal skin and only get the occasional blemish from time to time. This is quite bad of me but I know all of us have done it before but I fell asleep with it on maybe.. once or twice (not two nights in a row though) and experienced no break outs!
I absolutely adore this foundation and I think that although it's expensive, it is well worth the money. I feel that it will last me a very long time as I only use one pump to cover my entire face.

I have to say I was very skeptical of this foundation even though I had read reviews and many thought this was a pretty great foundation. Like others, I have tried so many foundations that my head spins just wandering if I'll ever find one that I REALLY like. So, planning on buying a Clarins foundation, the Sales associate directed me to this foundation also....which I ultimately bought. I worked a 12hr. shift at work my first day trying this and I couldn't believe it actually held up! The application was easy and fast... I actually liked that I could apply it quickly and I didn't have to blend, blend, blend. The finish was beautiful and it did look good outside, inside, sunlight, or rain (All in one day). I chose the lightest color that would match my skin (light beige 020,...) and I did not experience any color change. The coverage was somewhere between light and medium which is good for daily wear. I have dry skin and I moisturize very well and I felt it didn't add to the dryness. So overall I am very impressed. I really didn't mind paying the $46.00 for this as long as it works....I will pay less in the end by not constantly buying foundations that don't work... I will finish this bottle of foundation for sure!

I tried this after using Mac Pro Longwear (couldn't find a colour match without blending NC25 & NC30 which proved to expensive & prone to error). So matched myself to CD Forever in 031 Sand. Its quite yellow & does oxidise. The product is quite runny but easy to apply with a standard foundation brush, i used a Gosh primer as a base. My experience is that i didnt feel that i had a foundation on and my complexion was smooth with medium coverage. The smell is quite nice, it doesnt transfer very obviously but, and this is a fairly big but, i had shine within a couple of hours:( Not that the product deteriorates, its keeps its colour & remains in place but i had to blot using Mac Careblend powder in Medium at least 4 times during 10hr shift at work. Im waiting for the new version, launching Oct 3rd and may try 021. keep you posted.

I nearly returned this, as the first time I opened the package the product was very watery. So glad I did not. I shook the holy bejayzsis out of it, and now it's fine. Not a thick foundation by any means, but not too runny.
Pros: Doesn't break me out
Lasts most of the day
Good colour selection
Doesn't oxidize
Buildable
Natural looking
SPF
Cons:
Expensive
Need to blend fairly quickly
Need to powder after about 5 hours (not that big a deal for me, YMMV.)

This is the foundation that got me to finally abandon my Bare Escentuals makeup, which just wasn't doing its job. I had bad experience with previous liquid foundations but a lovely Dior consultant helped me select the Forever Extreme Wear for an upcoming engagement shoot. I only intended to wear it for the shoot but I loved the coverage, the lightness and how easy it was to apply, how long it lasts - so, it became my everyday foundation.
Sadly, it does make my acne-prone skin break out. Now I use it only on the areas of my face that need some real coverage and a tinted moisturizer goes over the rest. I still wear it as all-over coverage for special events - nothing else works quite as well!

THE BEST FOUDATION EVER for oily skin.
Lancome? Estee Lauder? Clinique? This Dior forever just beats all of them. I have tried so many expensive foundation for oily skin and this one is FOREVER, yea just like its name, the best.
I have super oily skin, ance scarrings and just few ances, nearly no acnes. My biggest concern is my oily skin. And this foundation is really amazing, after a whole day, more than ten hours of wearing it, my skin still stay oil-free. Well, my nose breaks out a lil but the rest of the face is still flawless. Another one you can try is Chanel mat lumiere, but its smell isnt good like Dior forever
I have used already four bottles and just bought one more. It is quite expensive but it is worth every penny

I have been searching for a long wear foundation that lasts all day but does not ruin my skin for ages....and at last have found it!!!! I paid 43 euro for this on a dior counter in dundrum from a really helpful assistant who tried it on me and let me go outside to natural light to check the colour. 10 is perfect for me. It really does last the whole day without needing a touch up and when i remove it my skin is fine. I found when i used dw before when i removed it my skin looked worse and worse but thank God its not the same way with forever. Coverage is good, a normal medium. You can build it up a bit if you want more and it feels light on the skin.
Love this foundation, its the best i have ever tried and will definitely repurchase!!

I absolutely love this one. Shade 010 Ivory. Stays perfect and flawless with natural looking color, great coverage, and never looks cakey. Smells like a really good perfume too. I did have to use a tiny amount of concealer underneath, but that's fine. Well worth it's price tag which was 52.00 Euros. I love the packaging as well. I will buy again after I use it up. It's the best one that I have tried so far.

I do not have much love for this foundation. It is ok, nothing bad or too good about it. I only uses it whenever I feel I need some coverage. I had the shade 031 which is slightly darker and yellowish than 031 in Nude Glow foundation. (the 031 in Nude Glow is just so perfect for my NC25-30 skin, maybe 030 in Extreme would be better??)
the finish is kind matte and dry for my skin especially after few hours of wearing it. My skin is getting really good lately without any blemish and I do prefer something lighter and glowing instead of coverage now. Won't purchase again.
