When I first saw the pictures online, I thought this was going to be ridiculously dark. When I went to MAC and had a chance to actually play with it, I realized it gave me a sweet, slightly bronzed glow. Not dark, not dirty, just glowy. I'm glad I bought it, it's a wonderful highlighter.

Got this a while ago and not really sure what to do with it.It looks ok over blush but then it looks ok on its own but being MAC and my first MSF I want more than ok.Mine is an even blend of the colours with maybe a tad more cream but its the glitter that gets me.Way too much for day wear.Wont buy again cos I doubt I'll ever use it all.

I love mac's msfs and can't wait for more to be released...more wearable pretty ones anyway. =) I bought this w/ northern light and often wear them together. I use these more in the spring/summer since they are kind of shimmery/glowy. They look great on a summer face to me. They have a marbled look to them, are baked, and all look different in that marbling/veining due that process. Mine is brown, tan, and peachy. I love the bronzy glow it gives me, adds a tad of color to me but not quite enough to be called a bronzer for my skintone. I'm a MAC C3 in studiofix powder and 1.5 (shell) in Chanel T.I.

I picked this up at the CCO, so it wasn't a bad deal. I purposely looked through the stack and picked the one with the least amount of brown veining it it. Mine is evenly balanced with the pink and cream colors, with a few veins of brown. Very pretty to look at. I really do not care for the texture of this, since my first MSF was Stereo Rose and it has the softest, most beautiful texture. This one is grittier in comparison. I wear it like a bronzer, but not as a bronzer. I'm quite fair and on the cool side, so it gives me a nice color with a subtle shimmer. It's really not all that special and I don't think I will reach for it to much, so I'd say I would not repurchase.

I loooooove this MSF! This was my first ever MSF purchase. It is a gorgeous shimmery peach/bronze color. It gives a beautiful peachy "healthy" glow. Probably one of the best highlighters I have ever used!

i just bought this yesterday. i was going to pass on it due to the bad reviews but thankfully i developed a lemming for it. my plan was just to have it for my collection but was tempted to try it out so i did. i was lucky enough to have no chunky glitters as some complained. mine just gives me a shimmery glow..which i love. a hint of med beige/peach glow. love it and going to get a backup this weekend before they sell out.

I just received this today, and after trying it on, I really like it. On me, it is almost identical to BB Sandstone shimmerbrick, which I just bought at Nordie's, and seeing as I don't use this type of highlighter often, I don't justify owning both. So I will return BB shimmerbrick, since I think Gold spill has a unique look to it, and seems less glittery than shimmerbrick, IMO. This color just melds into my golden C30 skin easily, and gives an ever so subtle light bronzy glow. I don't really see any pink tones on me though, just a light glow that I could wear everyday to brighten up my skintone.

I passed on MAC Gold Spill MSF because I already had Northern Light and Global Glow from the Flashtronic collection. But with the release of McQueen New Vegas MSF, MUAers kept saying, "I liked Gold Spill better." So I had to try it! Luckily, my store had 3 Gold Spills left. You'd think the name "Gold Spill" would make this MSF... well, gold like Goldfinger. But it's not. MAC describes Gold Spill as "Pink peach with warm brown and cream pearl." That's pretty right-on. Swirled together, you get a pretty fleshy beige-pink glow. It's unlike any of my shimmerbricks (glitter city), or even my highlighter powders from Smashbox, Trish McEvoy, NARS, Chanel, or Becca. ♥ ♥ ♥

I was all set to pass on this skinfinish from early reviews, but was I glad I popped into a MAC store while waiting for a friend at the mall and swatched it!

This MSF is perfect for those "dress-down" days, when I want some colour yet look like I'm not wearing makeup. I get a very natural peach/bronze tint with a little shimmer. Mine seems to have minimal glitter, in any case, blowing on the brush gets rid of most.

Didn't have a problem with glitter here. I do like this MSF quite a bit, however. Mine, unlike some I've seen, has LOTS of peach veining, so the result is this beige-y peach color- it's quite unique- very warm and healthy looking. Another score for MAC.

Reminds me of Shimpagne but warmer. That's why I bought it, they are similar but Gold Spill is more wearable. Shimpagne sometimes seems too silvery for everyday.

This one didnt look too impressive at the counter so I didnt buy it, but when I had the opportunity to swap for it I went for it. Glad I did because it works well as a very subtle bronzer. I didnt get any glitter on my face (it all ended up on my shirt/counter), nor any shine or large pores from this so its definitly a keeper! The one I got had a nice mix of all the colors- tan, vanilla and peach with the gold veining. If it wasnt l.e. I would repurchase.

I am still on the fence with this MSF. I got one that has a nice mix of the colors but there is the chunky glitter to deal with. This also happened with my Nothern Light and I replaced it with another that had less glitter.
As a large pore gal I don't avoid shimmer but I do avoid glitter.
Still, this color is beautiful in the container and when I swatch but it doesn't show up much on my face as a hightlighter. I was thinking it might be nice to use on my shoulders and chest area but I don't dress up that often. I would hate to return it only to see pics and wish I still had one.

MAC seems to have made different batches of these and some do not have the chunky glitter. If you can get a smoother one I say go for it. Otherwise it's a pass.

When i first saw pictures of Gold Spill MSF, some were extremely peachy/corally and some were very brown veined and since i ordered it online, i got worried that i'll be receving a brown-ivory veined one w/ minimal peachiness. I received it today and thankfully mine is full of peachy coral veins and looks gorgeous. I'm a fan of MAC Lightscapade MSF too and just like it, Gold Spill gives me the most amazing subtle peachy glow. It has the similar pearly texture of Lightscapade but in the pot it can create a mess while picking up w/ the brush unlike Lightscapade. I use MAC Fix+ w/ my MSFs (spray it on my brush, then swril the brush on top of MSF) which prevents the fall off and increases the pigmentation of the product, i also use 188 brush w/ Lightscapade and Gold Spill, the size of it makes it perfect for on-top-of-cheekbone application.

This a very nice, subtle highlighter on my NC30 skin. I like it much better than Glissade or Shimpagne, which are very shimmery on me, almost too much so. GS is more believable...the only gripe I have is that because it's so subtle on me, it barely shows up so I have to layer more on...I think I'll probably keep this in the collection...

UPDATE: Now that I have New Vegas, I prefer it over GS since it actually shows up and illuminates my face beautifully. I guess GS has too much pink in it and it gets lost on my skin. This has been taking up space in my drawer, with only occasional use, usually when I use Global Glow for a night out, but again, NV is really winning me over, and I've begun to use that with GG.

Here's my list of favorite MSF's on my NC30 Eurasian skin with golden undertones:

As blush:
1. Stereo Rose
2. Petticoat

As bronzer:
1. So Ceylon
2. Warmed
3. Global Glow
4. Shooting Star

As highlighter:
1. New Vegas
2. Light Flush
3. Northern Light
4. Gold Spill

This didn't really show up on my NC35/40 skin. I just see lots of shimmer and maybe a teeny amount of peachy pink. I guess it works OK as a highlighter when used on top of a peachy blush, but on its own, it's not worth the money. I'll keep this in my collection, but won't repurchase (it's LE anyway).

We just got a MAC counter here where I live, so this is the first MSF I've ever had. (Actually it's the second. I bought global glow to possibly use as a bronzer and it was WAY too dark and orange so I took it back for gold spill.) I really like this! Some other reviews say it looks "dirty" but on me mine looks kind of rosy/brown. The shimmer keeps it from looking dirty, imo. There is some glitter in mine but only maybe two specks of it get onto my face. I wear it instead of blush when I'm wanting to look natural. I like it but I wouldn't buy it again since it's not super special or even something I use every day.
