I know this is just for the "glossy" shade, but I'm in my 40's and blackish nail polish isn't me. I have three of these now --

Dazzling - A deep burgundy red.

Luminous - A "redder red" if that makes sense...lighter than the Dazzling.

Vibrant - A fuchsia pink, great on toes.

I am a nail polish junkie. I seldom go without nail polish. What I love about these is that they DO SHINE! Two coats and my nails are glossy and fabulous. They don't take long to dry either. I top them with a product called "Rock Top Coat" that I found at Sally Beauty Supply. Even so, after a day or two (I am on computers all day on my job), I can see some chips, so the wear could be better. When I get those chips, I just cover them over again with more nail polish and a coat of Sally Hansen Miracle Nail. That pretty much get's me through the week. The intense shine of these keeps me coming back and looking for new colors. I have noticed that all the colors are dark, which makes me think this is a LE for the fall. Overall, I really like these and would buy them again if there were more choices to choose from. I've pretty much depleted the color's I'd wear. In fact, "Glossy" might be the only one I don't have at this point. :)

I had been lemming this for a while, so I was really excited to get it on sale at Walgreens for only $3. However, I really ended up being disappointed. I'm thinking maybe I got a bad bottle, but the red shimmer in mine definitely doesn't look like karrieleigh's gorgeous picture below, not even after 2 fresh coats of this & a super glossy topcoat. No matter what light I look at it in, even direct sunlight or a camera flash, the shimmer is so subtle that I can hardly see it at all. I have to sit there for a few minutes studying my nails in the bright light to see any red shimmer. Basically, it just looks like a black cream nail polish on me. Meh, kind of boring IMHO. Nothing new or original about that. I'll probably end up returning this. I prefer Sinful's Rich in Heart or even Orly's Take Him to the Cleaners over this.

Just picked this up a few days ago and love it. as another reviewer mentioned below I also am wearing this in the summer months, and for me it works. I simply don't like pale polishes and they look weird on my pale skin, so for me the darker the better. this looks like a true black, but in the right light gives off the best red shimmer. very chic.

"Glossy" (highly inadequate name, that) is a truly unique color--duochrome, but the color combination is one I've never seen before. This looks like a glossy, pure black at first glance, but a slight shift of the light and you'll see a dark ruby fire burning deeply within the black (courtesy of very fine, crimson microshimmer). It's a subtle but striking effect. The pigmentation is great. It goes on quite dark and pigmented with one coat, but you should paint on at least two to get the best results. Gorgeous! Unfortunately, the effect seems to fade after a few days, with the polish becoming a mere, albeit deeply pigmented and glossy, jet-black. Despite that, I believe I would repurchase. And I also wish SH would do like Revlon and come out with a set of black-based duochromes (imagine black with an aqua flash, or violet, or emerald!) Hm, I wonder if NARS's "Arabesque" is anything like this humble Sally Hansen polish?

This is a high shine, vampy black with a reddish sheen. I love dark, vampy colors, even in the summer when all the fashion rags tell us to lighten up. To me, nothing looks more polished than dark, glossy nails. This is an awesome polish. I like that the red sheen is not too cool or too warm.

This is a new shade for '07 from the new Lacquer Shine line. This particular shade is a true glossy black with really pretty red shimmer. I love this one in comparison to all the other "black with red shimmer" polishes I've tried because the base is actually really a true black. Sinful Rich in Heart comes close, but still appears almost brown to me. RBL Revamp was a disappointment because the glitter was hard to see, and very sparse. The red shimmer in Glossy can be somewhat hard to see unless you're in a bright light, but I like that when you're in low lighting it appears black and not brown in the meantime. The application was decent, as was the wear. I don't care for this shape bottle (similar to the Diamond SH line) as it tips easily. Overall it's really awesome. Pics: no flash
