its a little more expensive for me, living in canada, i am sooo very jealous of the cheap prices just south of the border!
but this hairspray gives me hold, tames the fly aways, MAKES MY HAIR SO SOFT! i dont use too much, maybe that why some people are feeling sticky-ness, but using a light hand really makes my hair seem so soft and shiny!
im on my second can. :)

I just love this hairspray! I have it in Ultra Strong hold and I use it for pretty much every hairstyle I do! Its got great hold & BONUS: IT DOESNT MAKE YOUR HAIR HARD AND CRISPY! And for $4USD, its a total steal!

Will buy again and will recommend to a friend

Love this hairspray!!! Doesn't leave my hair feeling crunchy or greasy. Leaves my hair feeling soft and looking shiny. Love the smell as with all the Garnier products.

Am on the hunt for a replacement for my TiGi Masterpiece h/s (too much $ for me now) and after reading MANY MANY reviews (plus got a recommendation from the haircare board), I tried this for 2 weeks. Pros = inexpensive, easy to find at stores, adds a bit of shine and has a light, pleasant scent that quickly dissipates. Cons - the bottle says this is a Ultra hold - um... NOT! At best it is a medium hold which evaporates after 3 hours, IME. O well - the hunt continues...

I got this on sale at Ulta for $2.99..well i was undecided to get either this one or the purple version which i believe is better..anyway i got this and i am just so dissapointed...it does not hold at all..the only thing that i love about this spray is the smell..YUUMMMM...- will not repurchase.

Hi! Well I did not get the aerosol spray can, but the pump spray bottle version. I have 3a-3b curly hair and this really did nothing for me.
So I bought this seeing a good review on it...but silly me for not looking at others. This really seemed a bit sticky to me...and I could see that it weighed my curls down a bit even though I didn't spray but one pump on each side of my shoulder length hair.
It is pretty cheap...and will last you a while depending on how much you use..but for the quality of it...I'd be willing to go up a little on what I'd pay for this type of spray and try different products.
The pump on the spray bottle didn't seem to mist it as fine of a mist as I would have liked...so maybe I will switch it with my detangling Suave hairspray bottle.
I would not suggest this for those curly haired girls looking to combat frizz. I have found that if you use a lot of conditioner in the shower each time you wash and put your hair up in a high pony tail and use a claw clip to pull your hair on top of your head and leave it clipped there to sleep that it really helps keep frizz away. This hairspray did give me shine and made my hair slick, but it had no staying power nor did it hold my style well in the first place. it was hard to comb through hair.
I highly doubt I would buy this again, UNLESS it was an emergency that i needed a hairspray and this was the only one available in a store.

It's an okay hairspray but it doesn't hold hair through humidity. I straighten my hair almost everyday and I'd like something to hold that style. Well this did not hold the style even on a non-humid day. Then one day, between rain storms, I went outside and my hair went completely frizzy on me!

The smell is pretty good, your standard shampooish smell- basically fades after an hour which is fine with me. The aerosal spray nozzle on this hairspray however was not really a fine mist, instead made my hair feel wet very quickly after only after applying a little. They advise you to blow dry after spraying (for volumizing) and you better. Otherwise it remains sticky. I would use Tresseme or Pantene before this.

Love it - although the one I have is a different shape bottle. I use it on damp hair to keep out the humidity and this is the ONLY product that has worked for me. I've been looking for this all my life and I can't believe how cheap it is. A big thanks to MUAer's for the recomendation!

EDIT: Still loving this but I don't see this at the d/s anymore...

I am so disappointed in this hairspray. It doesn't give me any volume at all. I have fine hair and was looking for something that would give me volume, especially on those humid days, and this doesn't do anything. Waste of money.

If you want flakes on your hair then this is your go to hairspray. Horrible! Stay away from this cheap hairspray!

EDIT: I am bumping this down to a 4 as the humidity rises. It doesn't hold quite as well as I'd hoped, but will be fine for winter. It does work great as a styling spray, though. I spray it on my hair damp and it does a wonderful job of adding volume and hold. Doesn't make my hair sticky or stiff as I blow dry. I apply this first, then my mousse and other styling products. Gives me a really good hair day!

ORIGINAL REVIEW: This review is for the Fructis Anti-Humidity Hairspray (Aerosol) in Flexible Hold. It's the green can with the bamboo design on it. Anyway, this stuff is making me do the happy dance. I got it at CVS for 2.99 on sale. It smells great--that green apple smell, so much better than the perfumy-powdery odor of some sprays---hold is fabulous for my fine but abundant cow-licky hair, and it isn't overly stiff. It holds well enough but I can brush it out a bit if needed. After spending tons of money on salon brands, I am perfectly happy with this little gem. I also like the packaging--bright green but with a bamboo design. It actually looks kind of nice. Reminds me of Aveda's packaging, a little bit.

I really rec. this hairspray. It comes in other formulas like high-hold for those who require it. There is also a volumizing formula, might try that one next! Certainly can't beat the price--I'm in love!

I don't use hairspray often, so I just grabbed this when I ran out of my last can to try something new. It smells good and holds fairly well, but it does leave a stiffer feel to my hair than the previous spray I was using. It's not spectacular, but it's fine for as infrequently as I use it. It'll be a long time before I run out, but I'll probably move on to something else next time. Still a decent, inexpensive spray for average use.

Definitely keeps those frizzies away on humid days after I straighten. It seems to get a little sticky, or maybe I just spray it too close. I love how Garnier Fructis smells! So yummy!

The bamboo extract fascinated me and the promise to keep out the humidity was very intriguing, but the product itself sucks. Within an hour or so of applying, my head is covered in embarrassing white flakes and my scalp itches in areas and I don't usually have a sensitive scalp. I never concentrated the spray at the roots and I can only imagine how much worse it would be if I did! Stay away from this one.

this is a review for the re-formulated Volumizing Anti-Humidity Hairspray. i LOVE this stuff. it gives gentle hold, and amazing shine! it smells soo good and it holds my style without getting crunchy. it doesn't do much for the humidity, still haven't found that miracle product. but this is still great stuff.
