I have just bought this product and I really enjoying it. I have been using it for just a few days now and my skin has turned into a very nice tan color and it looks great! Everyone wondered how I became so tanned in so little time. One thing I don't like about this product is the smell but it's nothing to difficult to handle. Another would be to believe in its "firming" qualities. A hint I would suggest would be to avoid the knee area since it is already a few shades darker than the skin around it. Nice product, I didn't expect it to work so well.

Overall, this is a good self tanner. I rate this 4 out of 5 stars. I have very fair skin and after just a few days of using this product, I developed a light tan. You could shower at night then apply this but I recommend applying this at night then showering the next morning. I had just the tiniest bit of streaking without showering the next morning, but if you do shower the next morning that top layer (streaking) will come off and still leave the tan beneath. It takes a couple or few days longer to get the color you want this way but I would rather that then have a little streaking. Btw, I have next to white skin (no pigment) so the fact that I had just a tiny bit of streaking must mean this product is amazing! As for the firming cellulite, I did not notice any difference (but thats no surprise). However, I have some very light acne scars on my shoulders and those were blended in and just about erased after the tan set in. So a little discoloration should be diminished or blended away with this product as well.

This self tanner claims to reduce the appearance of cellulite in as little as 7 days. The actual tanning aspect starts to become noticeable within the week, but only if you apply the product daily. This is available in two shades for different skin tones: Fair to Medium and Medium to Tan. It's quite inexpensive, being around $10. It was sold at my local Stop & Shop, so that's where I purchased it.
I got this product in Fair to Medium, even though my natural skin tone would be better suited for Medium to Tan. The tan I received was an obvious difference from my usual color, but was subtle in a natural sense. I didn't become orange at all. This really gave me a glow similar to the results I'd get from basking in the sun. However, since I choose the lighter option, I'm assuming that's why I was left with this natural effect. Another interesting fact I observed was that on paler skin, it does leave an orange tint; The palms of my hands were definitely orange after usage. Anyway, the lotion itself is thick and creamy, so it does moisturize. The lotion was not at all greasy, but nicely hydrating. Unfortunately, it's a bit hard to spread out onto your skin without overusing because of the thickness. There is also slight shimmer in this product, so preference on that will vary. The scent doesn't smell like your typical self tanner. As far as the cellulite claim goes, well, I'm pretty sure everyone with half a brain cell knows that doesn't work, lol.
I gave this 3 lippies because it's annoying to constantly reapply the product in order to get the tan and to then keep it from fading away. I also didn't appreciate the false advertising with its firming abilities and being the magical cure to reducing cellulite --- it's the same as the pathetic gimmicks used for anti-aging creams. Plus, this does stain your hands and will turn you orange if you're quite pale. All in all, a very average product. What a shame, too. This self tanner could have been really great.

This might work for people with naturally darker skin, but I'm really pale and this stuff turned me yellow/orange in 3 days.
I wouldn't buy this again.

Like I wrote about the express this product did the same thing. It turned me orange with streaks. I even applyed it with different techniques and that worked and helped with some of the streaking not much I still had streaks on the side of my legs where it probably rubbed against my sheets ,it takes awhile to dry. Still orange though. I have learned my lesson I guess my skin isn't into drug store tanner. It sucks cuz I was trying to save money. :)
Oh the smell is a lot better with the firming than the express :)

I would not use this before work because it does still have that fake tan smell. I use this at night before bed and after a week I am starting to see the results. I like the color and that you can't really mess it up. It is a pain to me because at the end of the day I want to just get in bed and it's an extra step, but it looks nice so I will keep it up for a while.

This has become my go-to product for a touch of summer color. While it does have a bit of that fake-tan scent, it's minimal -- very mild compared with other brands. Tip that other may want to try: to avoid darker knees and ankles, I put a bit of regular moisturizer on those areas first and let it sink in a bit before I use the self tanner. It's extra time, but seems to work for me.

This review is for the Fair to Medium version. LOVE it!
I have very pale skin and this does not make my legs orange, which is next to a miracle. They just get a nice, golden-tan glow. Perfect for me as the rest of me is not tan either and I don't want it to be. So, why have nut-brown legs with a pale face and arms?
Another plus is that because you build up color gradually with numerous applications, you won't get streaks. I believe we tend to miss different spots with different applications.
As someone mentioned, go light on the knees if you don't want them tanner than the rest of your legs. Same goes for heels.
The odor is not too noticeable. Every other tanner I've used grosses me out, esp. at night when the chemical smell wafts up from under the cov ers. Not this. It is there, but very faint.
As far as firming, well, I doubt it, but that is not why I bought this product. It's a keeper for me, esp. with the low price!

I have found my HG daily moisturizer. I have been using self tanners/gradual tanners for a while and have never been happy with results I was getting. They were either too orangey or streaky, smelled horrible or didn't moisturize at all. Picked this product up a while ago and have been buying it ever since. I love that it goes on easily and gives you a nice glow after a few days of application. I use the medium-tan in the summer because I usually have a bit of a tan anyway. In the winter I switch to the fair to medium. People are always commenting on how tan I am. I have had a baby and have a few little (barely noticeable) stretch marks on my tummy, but after a few applications you can hardly see them. I find that it does have some firming/toning affects as well. The backs of my thighs have improved in appearance and I am definitely more comfortable in a bikini because of this product. Only downside is that the bottle is too small and it runs out too quickly. I also wish that it came in a more convenient pump bottle so that I didn't have to keep picking up the bottle when I am applying to different parts of my body.

I was in total despair, laying in the sun, using self-tanners like Neutrogena micro mist and L'Oreal sublime bronze, and looking terrible!!!
It was like my 60-ish legs looked about 90 years old!!! I was having to wear long pants more and more.
Hope I'm not being premature, but as of today this looks like my HG for self-tanners ever!!!
Okay, here I am editing, unfortunately. At the start this works great, then suddenly stops. If I put it on every night, my legs still look as pale the next day. I guess I could buy it again, maybe next year, if I wanted to start a tan for a week or so........

I've been using the product for about two weeks. Im using the medium to tan one, i actually like the product. I bought it mainly because im already using niveas celulite serum and that works well but led me to notice how much lighter my legs are compared to the rest of me. It left no streaks and im happy to say i match now (: if your looking to the product for firming, i cant really say it works but along side niveas serum it makes a good combination to hide your celulite.

A lot of people are complaining about it streaking, thats mainly operator error, all tanners will streak if you don't apply them properly and allow for some drying time before dressing. this goes on nicely, and dries rapidly so you don't wait around all morning for it to dry enough to dress. Its a gradual tanner, so it isn't supposed to work overnight, it takes about a wk of daily use to get the good color developed, very natural looking. As for firming, forget it. Its a common ploy companies use, any tanned skin looks better despite your cellulite, veins , etc, and thats what they are counting you will think.

I use this to remove the death-glow of my legs, and to even out/maintain other self-tanner products I sometimes use during the summer. What I like about the Jergens firming formula is that is absorbs quickly and doesn't feel sticky, and the color is pretty nice. Also, no terrible self-tan smell. Overall this is a summer staple for me.

Last year I tried three drugstore self-tanners. The first was Nivea Body Sunkissed Firming Lotion, which was runny and absorbed well, but it didn't darken my skin very well, which is pretty pale! The second was L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Gelee, a sticky gel that took forever to dry and didn't absorb well, thus it was easy to get splotchy. My skin darkened very quickly and convincingly--just not evenly. I think it's because the gel is not very moisturizing.
Jergens Sunkissed Firming Lotion is somewhere in between, the "Goldilocks" out of the self-tanners I've tried... just right. I chose the Medium to Tan version, and the resulting tan is even and not too orange. Because of its creamy texture, it applies very easily and dries quickly, so I don't have uneven spots! My tan turned up by the next morning, which is pretty fast. I highly recommend this.

I like this product!
I'm not sure why everyone hates the smell so much...has it been reformulated recently? Because I think this self-tanner smells way better than the Loreal Sublime that I purchased at the same time!
I agree that it does not give you a "back-from-vacation" glow, but it works for me as I mainly want to avoid a pasty/dough-y look during the fall and winter. It absorbs into my skin nicely and doesn't streak or blotch.
Also, I love that this product doesn't clump and cake around the lid! Many other products seem to make a mess; not this one!

I really don't understand why there are so many negative reviews on this product. It really gives you a beautiful sun kissed glow gradually. Even though for me, I noticed a darker skin tone the first day...I'm extremely pale though. To me, it smells like carmel. I absolutely love the smell personally but not many people seem to agree. Overall, this product is really great -for me. I think it's all a matter of your skin color before you apply, how you apply, how often etc etc. Go out and try it yourself.

I am giving this a 4 because I think this product has gone way up in my opinion.
The old jergens natural glow was horrible. Well, the color was okay but the smell was pretty bad. It had the worst developing DHA odor I have ever smelled in a tanner. The one thing that I hate the most about self tanners is the smell. And no matter how great the color is, no matter how fast it dries, no matter if it is perfect, if the DHA smell is bad, in the trash it goes! I know, I am that picky about fragrance/ developing odor.
After trying St. Moriz self tanner, I decided to try something maybe more gradual. St. Moriz is just a regular self tanner like St. Tropez and its a mousse but it dried out my skin pretty bad. But I loved how it had barely no developing scent. I wanted something maybe subtle that will gradually turn into something darker without the dryness.
Going back to this was tough, I heard that the new formula was better especially the firming one. I have tried other graduals, like hemp glow and dove etc. but those smelled weird and dove broke me out. Anyways, I got the firming one, and no results on the firming but....
its pretty good! I saw a good color the 1st day. The 1st day!! I usually never see color until maybe the 3rd or 4th day. I got the fair to medium one too. It dried okay, although I still felt it during the night in my pj's and.....the odor is still there but not as bad. I definately think I can live with it!!!
Overall, better than when it first came out, might stick with it because it has gone up in quality.
