I'm surprised by all the love this product gets, I HATED it. I generally like Kerastase, but this was just awful for me. I have baby fine but dense, not-quite-straight not-quite-wavy hair that I color very light blonde using high lift color and bleach highlights. This seemed perfect for me, but that couldn't be further from the truth. As soon as I applied it onto wet hair, my hair went from feeling silky to hard and plasticy, like I had just applied gel. It smells off too, plasticy, to go with the feel. It does protect from heat, I'll give it that, but because of the hundred thousand cones and other polymers. Anyway, not only did it leave my hair dull, dry, and fried looking, my hair felt sticky, gritty, straw like, and stiff. The packet that comes with this stuff states that one application will last for 5 washes- they are not kidding. It took me about 5 washes using clarifying shampoo each time (rinse, repeat, leave in for 2 mins) to get this crap out. I'm honestly surprised at how well this seems to work for other people, because this is hands down one of the worst hair products I have ever tried. I also tried Necar Thermique, which I don't live either but it's ok. If I had no other heat protectant to use I'd use it, but this product is just amzingly awful on my hair. I've yet to try Chroma Thermique and that seems like it would be the best for my hair type but so far I'm really not understanding the hype surrounding the Kerastase leave-ins.

I have only used this once, but it smells great and my hair which is dyed blonde and usually very dryand flyaway after blowdrying is sitting very nicely today! I am excited to contiue using and see results after a few weeks!

Great heat protectant. Smells good and doesn't leave hair with a sticky or heavy feeling after. Will repurchase.

EDIT - I've been using for about a month and a half and have noticed a huge improvement in my hair. It feels much stronger and is less frizzy.

Love this! I tend to think that Kerastase's shampoos and conditioners are overrated, but their styling products are definitely worth it.
At least, this one is: I have fine but dry, color-treated hair, and this works like a charm. I put in a dime-sized amount after rinsing out my regular conditioner, then mousse over top of it, and it just...works. It's kind of an invisible product-I don't notice it's there, it doesn't weigh my hair down, it doesn't make it incredibly soft, even. But my hair is better when I use it. It gives me, like, the best version of my hair. I don't ever want to be without it, and I have yet to find a cheaper dupe that comes close to working as well.

Another one of my favourites from Kerastase!

This is a GREAT heat protecting serum. I use it before I blow dry my hair, only a dime size is needed for medium-long hair which makes the product last for a good while.

I apply the product onto towel dried hair and work it concentrating more on the lenght and ends of my hair.
I love the delicate and clean smell of this product, it always makes me think of the salon :)

I have definately seen a big difference in my hair since using this product compared to other heat protecting products I have used. This really does protect my hair and keeps it in good condition. It makes blow drying easier and leaves my hair feeling silky smooth.

I use this for my blow-dry and then complete with Fibre Architecte if I am going to use the flat iron.
I am really pleased with this product and don't really mind the high price so much as the bottle has lasted me for 6 months so far and I still have half of it left.

Definately buying again and really recommend this product to anyone who cannot live without heat styling their hair on a regular basis.

I use this as a heat protectant and I really enjoy it. Yes, it is a little pricey however, only a small amount is needed and I have had it for over six months and I'm still using the same bottle and I use it EVERYTIME I wash my hair. The smell is delicious and it makes my hair feel softer. Also, having blond hair sometimes products can reflect negatively on my hair and this does not, it makes it shine. I use this with Fibre Architecte and love it.

At first I did not like this product, but I think it was the fact that I wasn't using it properly. This is a heat activated leave in. At first I used a walnut sized amount, and blow dried my hair on medium heat. I was not impressed at all! My hair looked dry, brittle, and felt coarse. The smell was really off putting too. It kind of smelled like cat pee to me? lol
A few days later I decided to try it out again. I got the same results after blow drying, but I think the changing factor was running a flat iron over it after. It helped to get rid of the rough feeling, and was a lot more manageable. I'm not sure if I would repurchase this leave in, since I don't feel that it moisturizes enough.. or protects enough against heat for my already damaged hair. I still like it enough to use up the rest of the bottle though.

I absolutely love Ciment Thermique. It leaves my hair soft, silky and most importantly for me, with noticeably less frizz. After using Ciment Thermique I don't need a serum or any other glossing product.

The only drawback is that it's pretty expensive, but it does last you ages. I have been using it a couple of times a week and am only on my second tube over the course of about 3 years! If you look online you can easily find it a few £s cheaper than buying from a salon.

This is OKAY... i dont understand all the fuss about it. i thought it was going to make freaking miracles. still i rather use mousse which secures the straightened hair, instead of this this which makes it look nice.. but does not keep it like this for more than one day. i do not mind going though this product, but i dont think i will repurchase.

Left my hair completely dry and damaged.

The only thing miraculous about this product is; how badly damaged it leaves you hair!

(The top reviews are again probably written by a marketing agency paid by Kerastase (owned by L'Oreal).

It would have been better to donate the money I spent on this product to charity, at least then my hair wouldn't be damaged.

I would not recommend this product to my worst enemy!

First I will tell you about my hair, so you can tell if this review is useful to you or not:
Very very very thin hair, lots of it, cut in an angled bob, flat and very easily weighed down by anything, hard to get volume out of it, but I try to get as much as I can!
So I love this product. It protects my hair from my GHD, which is great. But more than anything, I can use this instead of conditioner (because ALL conditioners weigh down my hair) and it gets rid of all my knots, but doesn't seem to weigh down my hair! This is amazing to me - you have no idea how many products I've tried to achieve this.

I use an almond-sized blob of this after towel-drying shampooed hair, then wait a while, comb my hair, then use my root booster (I use tigi now but might change soon), and then blow dry upside down and then straighten (even though my hair is straight, I get flyaways).

A miracle worker. Nothing beats this when it comes to smoothing frizzy hair - it's the only product I've ever found that makes my hair look and feel like I've been to the hairdresser. It doesn't weigh down fine hair, just makes it beautifully sleek and soft. I hope it is never discontinued.

This was highly recommended to me as a heat-styling protectant. I have fine, slightly wavy hair that's down to the middle of my back. It's currently been about a year since my last haircut (I know) and I have a ton of split ends. I don't expect any styling products to heal them, but this does make my hair feel very soft and healthy looking. Also, I love the scent. It's a bit pricy, but I'd repurchase.

I have straight, fine textured, just past shoulder length hair.
I HATED this product. I ended up with tangles and dryness.
Ironically I love the Kerastase Nutritive Nectar thermique, even though it is not meant for my oily hair type. I have gone back to this.

If I should choose one staple hair product to use for the rest of my life it would be this. I consider Kerastase products quite expensive but I wanted a great product to prevent heat damage and after reading so many reviews I bought this one. Win!

Let me explain: I have long curly coarse hair- and lots it- that I straighten 1-2 times a week (it's too time- consuming for every day since it takes a whole hour and a really hot flat iron) This process can be very damaging too. Here comes Ciment Thermique.

After washing my hair and conditioning I apply one and a half hazelnut size amount at the ends of my hair and whatever is left throughout the rest of it and massage. I like the fresh smell and the gel texture that doesn't feel sticky and spreads effortlessly. Then comb, blow dry without brushes and straighten with my flat iron (for an hour as I said before!)

Results: Silky smooth, glossy, bouncy, healthy- looking hair that reflect the light like never before! I'm convinced that it can not be only science, it's magic!
Even the next day, I just slip the flat iron once more quickly and they look sooo beautiful!
With this rate the 125 ml tube lasted over a year, so even though it's not cheap by any means it's true value for money. A little goes a long way, you don't have to use any anti- frizzing serum or glossing mist and the protection lasts even through a second wash.

Now my hair is almost waist long- and they have never been that long before. I get split ends after all of course, but hey, they are definitely less than before. I love Ciment Thermique, without it I would never know how beautiful my hair could be!

Update: over a year later I still use it and still believe it's awesome! I was given Nectar Thermique as a gift though - I'll test it properly and add the comparision.

Loved this styling lotion as a heat protectant before flat ironing and found that it also keeps the frizz at bay. Has a light citrus scent and worked better on my medium-fine, dry, colored hair than Nectar Thermique. Would repurchase.
