I love this product. It does the one thing I need it to do, and that is remove my heavy eye makeup. Yes, it's oily-- that's why it so effectively breaks down my mascara. It takes eye liner and eyeshadow off in a breeze and also does a good job of removing mascara. I wear a lot of mascara and this is the most gentle of other brands of remover I've tried (Almay, Clinique, Neutragena) and the most effective. I still have to work to get it off but this is the best I've had thus far. I don't mind that you have to shake for it to emulsify (I mean that's really not an inconvenience..to me) and a bottle does last me a long time. I've probably had one since November (6 months almost) so the price isn't that large of a drawback to me bc it's effective. For reference, I use either Smashbox or MAC Prep&Prime eyelash primer, CG LB to seperate lashes and finish with MAC zl in zoom black so this is some heavy duty stuff that doesn't irritate my eyes in the least bit.

This product stings your eye especially when you have to clean the fluidline. The cap is difficult to open and you shouldn't forget to shake it well first. I will not purchase this product again.

This is a really good eye makeup remover. I tend to have trouble getting my mascara off, even though I don't use waterproof. I asked the SA at MAC for something that would take it off but still be gentle, and she recommended Gently Off. You do have to shake to combine the two parts of the remover, but it leaves at most a light oily feeling on your eye area. It's really effective- if I'm wearing a lot of makeup I'll press the cotton to my eye for a couple seconds, and then the makeup will come right off. It's even taken off false eyelash glue! The downsides are that it's a little expensive for the size of the bottle- I feel like it's comparable to Clinique Take the Day Off, but the bottle is bigger for the Clinique, for the same price. Also, the bottle has one of those cap things that keeps the remover from gushing out, but the bottle is also rigid so you can't squeeze it. That means you only get a little at a time, so you have to tap it against the cotton to get more out. On the plus side, the cap is very secure and won't leak. Since it's so effective, I will probably buy this again.

I bought this product because I had some problems taking my fluidline off and the MUA at the MAC counter recommended this make up remover to me. I have almost used an entire bottle of this stuff, but I had to stop using it, because it started to burn on my eyelids like crazy. However, this is not the only reason why I would not repurchase this. This product did not remove my fluidline any better than cheap make up removers do and while using this I have found absolutely nothing to justify its high price.I do like the packaging though, the cap really prevents spillage, so that's a plus. This product also leaves an oily film on the skin after using it, but that was not a big problem for me, as I always use a cleanser after removing my eye make up anyway.
Would not repurchase.

Yes this product is oily. Yes this product is expensive. Yes it is a hassle to unscrew the cap and yes it is messy. However, it does remove my makeup without any trouble and i guess that is the main thing. I dont feel the need to scrub and the oiliness soon fades or i just go straight into my skincare routine. I will be repurchasing for sure because i go through this like toilet paper!

This makeup remover is awesome. It removes makeup easily, I need little of it and I don't need to add pressure. I use a wet cotton pad to remove the oily residue if I don't wash my face right after removing my makeup. It smells nice too.

I was told that this would remove my waterproof make up but when it comes to liquid eye liner all it seems to do is smudge it all over my eye to the point that I look like a raccoon! Alse feels really greasy afterwards. Would never buy again!

Almay's Oil Free Eye Make Up Remover works better than this. After using this, a lot of make up is left and has to be removed through the regular cleansing process.

I was hoping that this would be a better remover since it contains oil but isn't too oily. Almay's Moisturizing Eye Make Up Remover is way too oily for me. I guess I have to keep looking!

This hardly took off my eye make up let alone gently. I have to really work at it and it is much too oily. Also after using it I notice the next day there are white bumps around my eye the hurt. I will not buy this again. I like the clean and clear wipes they do a great job!

I was looking for the perfect waterproof eyemakeup remover, and the gal at MAC said this stuff would take everything off...which it didn't, and it clogged the pores around my eyes (I always use oil free and failed to notice this one wasn't) so I had little white bumps around my eyes. Plus it was expensive, after using it for a few weeks, I ended up tossing it.

This is the best makeup remover I have come by - Lancome's BiFacil is 2nd best, but takes a little longer to work with to get everything off.
I only have to use a small amount of this to get all mascara, eyeliner and eyeshadow off in 1 minute for both eyes, so that's pretty good in my opinion. I love the safety lid too, for when I'm travelling, and it will never spill out in my traincase :D

This removes all traces of makeup, seriously.
I know some people are turned off by the oiliness, but as a matter of science, oil-based removers are far more superior and will remove even waterproof products in a sweep.
All oil-based/ 2-phase removers work the same way - since MAC is cheaper than Lancome or Shiseido, I have switched to MAC.
If you wash your face first (I use Shu uemura cleansing oil), you don't need very much of this remover at all. If you use this remover alone, you would need more of the product, but of course it still removes all traces of makeup.
I use this together with Shiseido cotton pad, to be more gentle on the skin around my eyes. I don't need to rub hard with this remover; just hold it on the skin and then sweep gently.
The bottle design is not the best - it's easy to pour out too much or to knock over an opened bottle and spill everywhere.

I got this at the recommendation of my fave makeup artist at my local MAC counter. I thought it looked cool and at the time I was using oil based makeup removers.

It works really well, takes the makeup right off!!! I can't complain about this product, it works and is great! Thing is, I have switched away from using oil based removers because I don't like any residue left on my lashes. My skin is oily and then I put mascara on and if I don't make sure every bit of that oil is off, then yeah, smudgies.

I just use tearless baby body wash now to take off my makeup. Though, this product works like a charm, if you aren't lazy haha.

My favorite eye makeup remover. I prefer this over lancome bifacile which I used for years becaue this one's cheaper and it works the same if not better.

At first I hated how oily this product was, but it removes waterproof mascara like magic! I use this everyday and it takes 2 seconds removing my eye makeup and mascara. I use this with a Shiseido cotton pad. Although this product claims to be an eye and LIP makeup remover, I would not want to slather oil on my lips, so I just use it for the eyes. :)

I just picked up a bottle yesterday. I was skeptical that this would really be better than my Rimmel makeup remover (which is just OK)....would the price really justify the results? The answer is that I was impressed. I fully expected to try and return the bottle but now plan to keep it.

This product has worked the best for me. Due to allergies and runny eyes, I wear waterproof eyeliner and mascara. This is the only makeup remover that seems to do the job. I haven't had any stinging, however, it is super oily. I usually wash my entire face after using this on my eyes. Like most MAC products, it is pricey. I have repurchased and will continue to do so because I hav found that it works the best for me.

I love this product! It works great. I have never been able to find anything that takes off my MAC fluidline or waterproof eyeliner. I tried everything and that stuff would not budge! But this stuff, you barley need to scrub just by dabbing it, it lifts the makeup away. I wish it was bigger for the price because if you use it everyday, it does not last long at all. But overall, very good at removing makeup gently and easily.

I was using MAC's Cleanse Off Oil for eye make up removal before this but I started using the Gently Off Eye and Lip Makeup remover. It takes off waterproof mascara and gel liner in a cinch! Also great for removing those dark lipsticks completely. A little goes a long way, so a bottle should last you a while with normal use. I will more than likely continue to use this product.
