Got this as a sample recently, and like it very much. A white floral, smells very similar to Michael IMHO. I used to wear the original beautiful but havent for years. I'll admit that the gorgeous ads originally got me interested, and im happy that i like the actual fragrance as well. maybe some nice Nana of mine will get me this for my birthday since im a broke student. :)

It took me a little while to come round with this one. I now really like it, don't overspray and wait a little while for it to settle on the skin, it smells divine a couple of hours later. I can't wait for Estee Lauder to bring out the body lotion and shower gel so as the layering affect can take place. The fragrance is definately a white floral and upon first spray I smell the Mango Mist the most, it's other notes are:- lush magnolia blossom, white jasmine, heliotrope and vetiver. None of the 3 beautiful's smell even the slightest bit similar.

When I first smelled this, I really liked it. After I wore it, the resting scent wasn't all that great. The perfume reminds me of Sand and Sable, as a matter of fact. Also, the packaging....Is Estee Lauder having trouble finding a new bottle design, so they keep sticking with the same one? It does smell pretty, but I find it doesn't last.

I said that I would purchase this again, but I'm not sure. It smells very clean without being sharp or cool. Sweet without being cloying. Slightly fruity floral (perhaps just b/c of the sweetness) that I immediately got compliments on. Did not morph on my skin. Good staying power. So, why wouldn't I repurchase? Sadly, I'm just not in love with Love. Very nice, but there's no oomph to it. *sigh* UPDATE: There is something very sharp and green about this fragrance on me, and I can't stand it anymore. It also is not complex and has the same sharpness throughout the day. Ugh.

I recently purchased the 2.5 oz bottle of this at Dillards after only smelling it on a strip. While I do think its a very lovely scent. I would have to agree that there is something about it that falls flat. On me at least all of its complex notes are not detectable. It has very good staying power as most Lauder scents do. Even though Lauder fragrances are not inexpensive you do get your monies worth. I cant stand that alot of the fragrances these days dont last a couple of hours. As for the bottle I think its a mistake to keep using the same bottle style as the original Beautiful. While the bottle isnt ugly or anything I think alot of fragrance lovers would like a new bottle for a new scent. I will say I do find the bottle easy to handle. Some of the odd shaped bottle that have been coming out as of late are a bit harder to apply with sometimes. Overall I would say I am happy with this fragrance. I would love to find a signature scent one for everyday. I had hoped this would be it. But I think the jury is still out on that one. I am not sure that this scent is complex enough for me. I tend to like a bit heavier scent. I would say this is definitely one to try though. Dont dismiss it if you typically dont care for Estee Lauder fragrance. This one is not like anything they have done before. Its very updated for them. Give it a try. :) EDIT: I love love love the smell of this but after wearing it day in and day out its not lasting as well as I originally thought. Could be my chemistry. But I cant get onboard with something in this price range that doesnt stick around. I would still say try it on your skin. Its so lovely..just not heavy enough for me I suppose. Took off a lippie for lasting power only.

I splurged and got the large size bottle w/out really knowing how it would smell on me. I can't stand the original Beautiful-this one is better. It is floral (which once again surprises me that I like it because I usually go for fruity scents) but this smells good. Update 2/18/07: I still think this smells good, but it is starting to remind me of all the other E.L. perfumes-strong. There is also some note in here that reminds me a little of the old Beautiful which is why I just can't wear this stuff anymore. Why oh why do I do this?

I must say I've never been so in love with any perfume before this on the first whiff. I only smelt this once in a magazine ad and proceeded to order a 2.5oz bottle without really being sure whether it would smell different than in the mag ( as it normally does). My gamble paid off. I do hate the bottle because it does look extremely old fashioned - it makes it seem like this perfume is targeted towards an older crowd. However the thing that got me about this perfume is this - I've always looked for a perfume that reminds me of the heaven you're in when you first fall in love. I've spent thousands of dollars on perfume and I think I've finally found it, as cheesy as it sounds. I'm no expert and I can't even analyse the "notes" and whatever :) but this perfume takes me away to another world when I first spray it on. These are the things it reminds me of : summer, a very lush garden, falling in love so hard you feel like you're floating, anticipation, possibilities, hope. Absolute and total rave.

This scent is absolutely divine! I have yet to find what combination of scents create this intoxicating blend, but whatever they are, they're perfect together :). Very light, feminine, floral but not over-powering (like you'd been swimming in a garden). Absolutely beautiful.

I am in love with Love by EL. This is yet one more wonderful fragrance from that company. The dominant note is magnolia which I have always adored. I disagree with one of the other reviewers in that this would not be good for a date or a romantic interlude. I think that this is a very romantic fragrance that is somewhat reminiscent of Pleasures original, though with warmer drydown. I am absolutely a fan of this perfume and would gladly shell out the $60 bucks for the 2.5 oz bottle. Fascinating, complex and very feminine and romantic scent!!!

It's a very white floral scent and I don't feel a clear distinction between the notes which renders it a bit flat. But it's quite pleasant. It's a bit on the cool side so it's good to wear at work, but not on a romantic date or party since its lack of the warmth and expensive feel. Overall it's a good scent for office.

According to EL's website the notes of Beautiful Love are:
Top: Magnolia, white freesia, marigold, mango, cantaloupe, white pomelo zest, wet Ivy leaves, pink pepper
Heart: Jasmine, tuberose, Tahitian tiare, rose, osmanthus, carnation, black violet
Base: Heliotrope, white orissand, whipped cream accord, sandalwood, white moss, patchouli
To me, this is reminiscent of Britney Spear's Curious, but it's what I wished Curious would have been. I liked Curious, but it never lived up to its potential because it was too faint and faded fast. EL's Beautiful Love is a very pretty Magnolia floral that isn't too "in your face", but it's not the faint hearted Curious either. It has lasting power and I liked it. It's floral with a clean soapy feel to it. Just because you like the original or Sheer doesn't necessarily mean you'll like Love. Love is completely different from the other two. Personally, I don't understand why the latter two are even called Beautiful as they don't bare any resemblance at all to the original. If you like Curious, you'll definitely like Love.

I didn't care for this version of Estee Lauder's Beautiful. In fact, I compared all 3 fragrances and I still prefer the original. The Beautiful Sheer has more of the Pleasure's notes in it. The new Love version is different...I can't quite tell what it is, just that I don't love it.

I have been on the hunt for a new floral fragrance for years. I would find one and then a month later I would be disappointed. This is why I am not going to write a glowing review, just the facts.
Wear time: All day and into the night
Smell during the 1st few hours: strong floral
Smell during the 2nd few hours: aquatic florals
Smell during the last hours: sweet, yet faint musk
Recommended wearing time: during the day; it is not really sexy (it is very pretty)
Recommended age: any age; it smells young to me though; old women tend to like to smell like powder puffs and this smells nothing like that
What the scent mostly reminds me of: Honey suckles or a flower garden
How do I feel when I wear the fragrance? I feel like I smell very pretty; not sexy, not whorish, but just very pretty and it also caused me to be in a good mood all day. Some florals start to turn on you at the end of the day and you start to smell like a dirty whor!, but this doesn't do that--you smell pretty from the beginning to the end.
Would I buy it again? Yes, unless I decide I hate it like I have every other fragrance I have ever purchased in the last 5 years. LOL!
The only problem with this item is that the bottle is from the 1980's and, as a result, you feel like you are purchasing a cheap outlet perfume.

I like this new fragrance -- it is sweet, and I tend to prefer sweet scents. The reviewer below described the notes, but I disagree about the "cheap smell", but do agree that it is more "youthful". I always get compliments when I wear this and everyone asks what I'm wearing. It is is no way like the original Beautiful, which I like, but am not a big fan of. I prefer Beautiful Love to the other versions. I don't understand why EL keeps naming their fragrances after the others when they are nothing alike other than to capitalize on the well-known names of the most popular and best-selling.
