Love this product. It stays all day never ever ever smudges or flakes. it never clumps. coats every lash individually and makes my lashes look like they go on forever. the tubes lasted me about six months. has awesome fibers. keeps lashes feeling soft. Also non-animal tested will repurchase to the ends of the earth.

PRO: This mascara does make my eyelashes have a long feathery doll-like appearance (after I curl them of course, and after I pinch away a couple clumps).

CON: After the first few uses, to get the same effect on my lashes, I literally have to scrape the entire brush off on the lid, there is so much extra now that comes out of the bottle. I might expect this to happen over time, but not so soon. Because of this I wouldn't repurchase.

I am confused, can't believe the amount of positive reviews. The texture is clumpy on my sparse asian lashes, however, it does somewhat give the dolled eye look I suppose since it clumps and makes eyes look dramatic..

This mascara doesn't even slide with my oily lids and I am extremely pleased, most mascaras smudge with my lids.

As an asian, I have short straight lashes. Personally I don't like using false lashes, therefore I've always been on a hunt on my HG mascara. So far, this is the only mascara that I've been religiously using. Although, it didn't hold the curl very well, I like the fact that it did lengthen my lashes. doesn't clump and looks very natural. I find that volume mascara will tend to clump even with one coat therefore I would avoid them. Would I repurchase, yes until I find my HG mascara.

I think this is a nice mascara but I was a bit let down after reading the reviews.

PROS:
You get really long and full lashes.
Amazing curl.
Nice formula that coats the lashes and therefor giving the illusion of longer lashes.
Works really nice on lower lashes.
Definite "doll effect".
Good brush that allows for nice shaping.
Cheap price.

CONS:
The curl does not hold very well.
The initial result starts to wear down after a couple of hours and you end up with messy lashes.
You wold think the "coating" texture would make it easy to remove since the product would just "slide off", instead it's a real hassle to get off and I've been losing alot of lashes in the process.
Fallout after a couple of hours.

Overall, not for me but would recommend f you like the Lancome Hypnose since this is a dupe that in my opinion works better than the original.

Really enjoying this mascara. My absolute favorite is the Hypnose Drama mascara, but this one comes very close! I bought it for about $7 on cherryculture's website and it truly does give me doll-like lashes. I naturally have longer lashes, and after reading reviews on the lash lengthening and the volumizing, I opted for this one and I'm so glad I did. It is absolutely lovely. Definitely give it a go. :)

NYX definitely hit a winner with this one. I just received my haul of NYX products from Cherry Culture and I've got to say this mascara is the pretty darn decent. Being blessed with fine, long lashes, this product almost has my lashes looking like falsies, no exaggeration. The brush is your average lengthening brush. The formula glides on smoothly with no clumps in sight (And I mean NONE.) I haven't tested how long the products last until it flakes and/or feathers, but so far, I'm loving the results.

I recommend this for ladies who have lashes that need a little bit of "oomf," if you know what I mean.

Hope this helps.

First off, this is one of my favorite mascara's. It makes my lashes pop and look so amazingly long. I just don't like the feel/look of the tube. It feels cheap. Other than that the brush is amazing, the formula rocks. I love this

I purchased this when cherryculture.com was having a 40% off all NYX products sale so I can't complain about the price much. Cute packaging and the mascara does definitely add length to your lashes! I've probably tried well over 15 different kinds of mascara and this is one I will repurchase.

UPDATE/EDIT:

Ok, so I jumped the gun on this... used for a few days now and it does smudge quite quickly but doesn't flake... the smudging is a problem for me although it's not severe and it does smear/smudge on my top lid first and then a few hours later, onto my under eye area. It's still a really good mascara though, it gives a very, very natural look and lasts for ages. I still think it warrants a good rating (hence I'm not changing the number of lippies) but It does drop down on my list of favourite mascaras... down to #3. :P

ORIGINAL POST:

SO GOOD. This is my second favourite mascara in the world (my favourite being Kevyn Aucoin's but his is so hard to get in Australia and is super expensive). Firstly, I love the wand and brush, it's the right length and the shape is concave in the middle, which means it's narrow in the middle and wider on the ends and that makes application actually quite easy and fairly clump free. The formulation is quite solid, opaque and there *is* a risk of a bit of clumping but I think you can combat that by either wiping the brush down, OR simply combing through your lashes if you see a clump form. Dead easy! And lastly, it doesn't tend to smear or flake for me, which is an essential component for me as I don't find very many that last long and I always look like a panda after a few hours with other mascaras! This mascara has knocked off Clinique's High Impact Mascara from second favourite (so Clinique's is now my third favourite), not that the clinique one is bad, it's just I like this one better and it's more affordable! Super WIN Nyx!

Dried out in less than a month. Doesn't make your lashes doll or long length.
Pants. There are much better drugstore equivalents for the same price.

This is a good mascara. It's not amazing, but it provides nice separation and length, is long lasting and doesn't smudge or clump - which is more than I can say for some mascaras that I've paid five times the price for. Perfect for a no-fuss, natural everyday look.

my opinions on this mascara are pretty divided... on one hand, i love how long and, well, doll-like it makes my lashes look (when applied right). the brush is small enough to get at my lower lashes as well. the dry formula doesn't weigh down my lashes, and it means that i don't have to wait forever for it to dry!

however, on the other hand, i hate the packaging. the brush just grabs way too much mascara! i literally have to spend a minute or two wiping the access off on the tube before i let it anywhere near my lashes. otherwise it'll just be a huge gloppy mess. also this mascara isn't really great for separating (unless you spend a good long while making sure it looks perfect). it's also very easy to get clumpy with this mascara. this definitely isn't one of my 'put on in 30 seconds and go' mascaras.

all in all, i'd say this mascara gets a 'meh' from me. which is a shame, because i really wanted to love it! instead, i just like it. i most likely won't be repurchasing this anytime soon (i had to order it online, no way am i doing that again just for a mascara i only 'like'), so i'll just use up the tube i already have. this was my first purchase from NYX, so hopefully the eyeshadows that i'm going to try out next are better!

Age: 18 & Under   Skin: Combination, Medium, Warm   Hair: Brown, Wavy, Coarse   Eyes: Brown

Pros:
- It does make my lash longer in an instant because it has these fibers in the mascara that just attaches to your lashes and becomes an extension of your lashes.
Cons:
- I curl my lashes before applying the mascara, but sadly the mascara does not hold my curl. After about an hour, my lashes are straight and droopy again :/
- smudges so easily. (I was laughing so hard the other day, a tear fell out of my eye and ruined all of my bottom lash mascara, giving me sever raccoon eyes. NOT PRETTY).

If you have lashes that has lots of volume and curl already, then go for this mascara cause it will make your lashes sooo beautiful and long.
If you have short stubby lashes with no volume or curl, like mine (asian lashes), then do NOT go for this mascara. It won't help you out !

UPDATE: I now love this mascara ever since I started using the MAC prep+prime lash, and applying that before this mascara. But then again, this may not be a reflection of the improved quality of the doll eye product because that prep+prime lash can pretty much turn any shitty mascara to a really nice one.

I saw the packaging (the very pretty box it was in) and bought it on a whim. Honestly, I would have liked the flower pattern to be on the tube too, but this is irrelevant to the formula and the wand (the important things to look for in a mascara) ;D.

I never tried the volume one, but I bought the long lash in blackest black, and it's BLACK. Not that dark gray stuff some companies like to pass off as "black."

It also really lengthens and defines. It's a fiber mascara, so it has little fibers that stick on to your lashes and elongate them. I also like that it doesn't dramatically increase, so it's a casual boost for an everyday look.

The BEST part for me is that it dries SOFT. I hate it when mascaras dry up hard on your lashes and make them look stiff.

Used it for a week and didn't get any clumps, panda eyes (even after 10 hour wear on a trip to NY the other day), or flaking (probably has something to do with the dry formula that dries soft?)

I also have straight short Asian lashes so I always curl my lashes with the individual lash curlers. It takes time and I have put on mascaras that cannot hold a curl afterwards and made my lashes droopy and made me extremely upset. But this one didn't C: held the curl perfectly well.

I think you should give it a try, it's pretty good :D I was looking for something similar to Dolly Wink's lengthening one and this is a cheaper option ahaha

The best mascara ever (which means a lot considering my lashes)! In a few words:

* it builds up lashes twice as long as my own with fibers that are STRAIGHT

* doesn't smear or smudge, no panda eyes

* black is black

* no clumps or flakes

* stays put yet easily washes off

* no more lash fall out

* lashes look fuller

* holds curl

* cheap

Summing up: I have LUSHES instead of lashes now (: Recommend!

My everyday go-to mascara. No raccoon eyes or flakes at the end of the day. Gives me plenty of length and definition. My only complaint is that if it does get in my eye, it gets very irritated. Other than that, this provides great amount of length, separation, and definition. I have tried many mascaras but this is by far, the best I've tried! This looks extremely natural. This also makes my lashes look very flirty. I would recommend this to anyone with short, sparse lashes that want to make their lashes look lengthened and sexy without having to wear falsies.

Where has this mascara been all my life? I had tried the Doll Eye Volumizing about a year or so ago. It did nothing for volume and nothing for length. So I considered it a loss. I recently felt adventurous and decided to try the Doll Eye Long Lash mascara after reading the many positive reviews on here. Thank goodness I gave it a second go! This mascara is great! It has an hourglass-shaped wand, and like other reviewers have mentioned, it can be intimidating at first. However, after a few applications, it's just as easy to use as any other wand. It takes a few coats to give me the effect I like (long, dark lashes) and let me tell you...I get some serious length with this mascara. The volume is so-so, but the impressive length I get makes up for that. The color pigmentation is great (which is good because there's only one color to choose from---black) and formula is perfect. It's light so it holds a curl very well. It's also on the drier side, but this is coming from a die-hard L'Oreal Voluminous user, where the formula is as wet as it gets IMO. Now for the best part...no clumps or smudges! I mean NONE. Not a single clump which seems almost impossible for any mascara. And NO smudges under my bottom lashes! And this is after 12 hours of wear. I've only had those kinds of results from waterproof mascaras. This is better than waterproof. It stays put and washes off with soap and water. The only thing about this mascara is that when you wash it off, it doesn't just wash away. It beads up. So it's slightly messier in terms of getting it off. I've had that same issue with the NYX liquid eyeliner. It's not a deal-breaker, just kind of surprising at first. Also, I can only find this mascara online. My local Ulta is the only place that sells NYX products and they stopped carrying the Doll Eye mascara. :( BUT on eBay, there are many sellers that offer a 3-pack of this mascara for around $17, so it's quite a deal! This is such a great mascara for a bargain of a price that it's a must-try!

This mascara is proof that there is no need who shell out lots of money on high end department store brands to get good results. I have tried lots of mascaras from MAC and MUFE to Dior, Chanel and Lancome, Estee Lauder, L'Oreal, Maybelline, you name it, and this one by NYX was by far the cheapest: I got it discounted and at a sale at Cherry Culture, so I ended up paying around 3.5 euros. Maybelline's cheapest mascara is nearly 10 € in Spain, so you get an idea of how cheap NYX's really was.
As with all mascaras, you need to get the hang of it in the beginning. The brush has an hourglass shape so if you are used to normal thick wands, it may be a little tricky in the beginning (you will probably get blobs of mascara at the corners of your eyes) but after two uses, you will become a pro. Results are adjustable, just like with any other mascara: if you insist at the roots, you will look like you have thicker lashes; if you just work your way from root to tip, your lashes will appear longer. Just for your information, my lashes are nothing special, neither too long nor too short but they felt and looked impeccable with this mascara, whether for lighter or more dramatic looks.
It has to be mentioned that this is a tube mascara, with the formula not being very runny but not too dry either. That being said, try not to be overzealous with this at the tips of your lashes or you will see little mascara tubes sticking out. Also due to the tube formula, it doesn't smear at all and it is actually the first time I have encountered that with a non waterproof mascara. We have been having 40ºC/104ºF here lately; I put it on at 07.00 am, and at 08.00 pm there is still no trace of mascara under my eyes.
A definite repurchase for me, this one and the Volume one, which is the same thing but with a different name.
