I bought the tube for $15.00 (US) and was so excited to open the box and put a stop to my chapped lips. Oh my goodness, I was stunned to find it was "vaseline". I can not believe that I just spent $15.00 on vaseline and microcrystaline wax. It does not even have scent or flavor. I will just end up throwing this in the "I regret buying this" box along with all the other beauty products I have wasted money on.

I used to work for Molton Brown's and would use this every day back then. Strangely it seemed to be a fab lip moisturizer for the first 2 weeks, and then it slowly just ended up being really average and tending towards drying my lips after a few hours (which is what most other brands of lip balms normally do to my extra-dry lips). Its really expensive for a lip balm anyway, at £10 a shot. I reckon only rich clients would spend money on this, because if you really looked around and experimented with lip balms available from other brands (drugstores and cosmetic brands) you'd find that the Molton Brown lip saver is really quite average. What it does for your lips can be achieved by using some other similar products from other brands, at a fractionally-lower price.

I absolutely LOVE this stuff! The tube is easy to use, and you need so little. SPF could be a little higher, but the staying power on this stuff is amazing, and all those funny little lip lines just blur into nothing with this on. I like to wear it over a pencil, and that takes care of my day. It never ceases to amaze me how long the rose scent lasts, though, even though I don't find it unpleasant. I love all the Molton Brown lip products--I am married to the brush-tip glosses, but I adore this balm.

This is really great stuff. I received it as part of a care kit on an overseas flight and have been crazy about it ever since. The only problem I have...and it's a big one...is the TERRIBLE packaging. I hate, hate, hate lip balms in little pots like this that you wind up getting all under your fingernails. But nevertheless, it is very moisturizing, completely silky, and great to wear under lipsticks

This is just like putting wax on my lips and the strange non existant smell is aweful. The price is outrageous for what you get - vaseline quality for £12 is a joke! I would definately not purchase this again.

Blah, just like vaseline, maybe a bit creamier. Clear and scent-less. I have this in a pot (apparently it also comes in a tube). I got this as a present in a "travel kit." Really nothing special in my opinion.

I was using kiehls lip balm at them time when a friend who swears by this stuff, told me to try it as I cant buy kiehls where I live and I was almost finished with my tube. imo its too thick, and for some reason I always end up squeezing too much out of the tube, its like nothing wants to come out and then it all wants to come out. and it doesnt blend well on the lips, you have to becareful or else you will be left with this white gunk on ur lips. It did moisturize my lips pretty well, and it does smell better than kiehls. But this is not my type of lip balm.

It's vaseline isn't it? Not impressed. Not excited. Can't believe I paid money for this stuff. My daughter keeps it in her coat pocket in case she gets chapped lips in the playground. I'm glad someone is getting some use out of it!

I tried this product after reading yet another fave review in Lucky magazine but was not overly impressed by this lip balm. It is rather expensive for lip balm at $16 for a small tube and is very thick and messy upon application, so it really is only good to use when not going out because it looks like crisco on the lips. Does a nice job at hydrating the lip area, but then again so do half a million other lip balms that I've tried.

I have to agree with some of the other reviewers, this is glorified Vaseline. Maybe a little lighter and creamier in texture, but nothing really special. It does keep my lips soft and moisturized, but once I've finished with this pot, I don't think I'll repurchase.

I don't think this moisturises very well at all, and it contains petroleum jelly......just fancy vaseline IMO.

Yes 'creamy vaseline' and I quite liked that unusual texture at first. But its no performer. No use to truly dry and chapped lips.
Back to Caudalie.

When I do need to use a lip balm (which isn't very often) I reach for this one. It feels really good and moisturizing on my lips. I don't like Kiehls as much because it's not as thick and it has a funny taste to it imo.

I have mixed feelings about this lipbalm. It reminds me a bit of Creamy Vaseline, yet it does absorb easily and moisturizes nicely without feeling greasy. However, it is not as moisturizing as Smith's Rosebud Salve, which is my alltime favorite lip balm; therefore, I use it only during the day under lipstick and lipgloss. I purchased mine in the UK (with the help of a wonderful UK MUAer), where it is decidedly less expensive than than the $16.00 tube sold here. I suggest buying from a UK seller on eBay.

I love this product! I've tried every lip balm on the market and this is the best. It's not too oily and it smells great. The price is high, but it lasts forever.

A wonderfully soothing and healing unscented lip balm in a tube, this has a creamy and slightly waxy texture, with absolutely no oiliness. No stinging or dragging, it really softens up chapping quickly. It also makes a great base for mixing pigments or dry lip colors into, since it stays in place on the lips. I think I even prefer this to Kiehl's, since it doesn't have that oily feel. Bought in the UK, it's not exceptionally expensive for what it is. Recommended.

I somehow plodded through the tube I had bought. But what a boring lip balm. No sunscreen, a cheap-perfume smell, waxy texture and not a lot of moisture. And it's expensive to boot. My first and last tube.
