Great heavy duty foundation that locks in moisture and is long lasting. I use a makeup brush instead of a sponge to blend this into my skin and it blends very well even if my actual skin tone is a tad bit lighter. This foundation is not streaky or blotchy and even with a little bit adds a great amount of coverage.

Got a sample to compare to doublewear and I hated it. My 'match' nc25 oxidised into this horrifying dark orange shade on my face and neck. It also smells rank, kinda like paint and bad food. Couldn't wait to get home and just scrub it off. Made me break out instantly too.

All MAC foundations break me out and this one was no exception. I bought it the same day I went into the store for the Marylin Monroe collection and although I knew better then to use their foundation again after my experience with Studio Tech I bought this one against my better judgment. I broke out within days and ditched it for Inglot AMC and I prefer that one as my staple foundation.

Im not sure about this foundation, ive recently just switched from the Estee Lauder Double Wear as they've changed their formula so i went on to try this one.
It had such mixed reviews i was in two minds whether to get it or not, but i thought why not! i do like it, its very very easy to apply and blend (i use a foundation brush) and when ive finished my make up it looks flawless and lovely, but when i look in the mirror about 4 hours later, half of its come off and i just look blotchy and have to re-do, which is abit of a pain.
i would say if you wore the foundation, you do have to set it with a powder, but even doing this doesnt make the staying power very long lasting. i might just have to invest in a primer and see how that goes!

This is my all time favorite foundation. Looks amazing on camera and does not look cakey (if you over due it you can look cakey). My only problem is that it makes me break out if I use it everyday. For now I only use it when I go out or for events. :( I have changed my primer and moisturizer and face wash but nothing seems to stop my skin from breaking out. The color selection is amazing and I haven't found another foundation that mixes my skin tone the same (I'm nc 40-45 sometimes 35)

I love this stuff! Full, buildable coverage, cheap, and I love love love my shade (nc 35)! I can't believe this foundation gets such low reviews?! I use a good primer like Too Faced Primed and Poreless, wet a beauty blender sponge, stipple the foundation on and set it with Loreal true match pressed powder. It literally gives me the perfect airbrushed Barbie complexion. And it's cheaper than my HG Estée Lauder Doublewear!

This foundation is certainly a great addition to your collection and I wear it occasionally. I love my estee lauder double wear and like medium coverage but lasting power all day is a must !
This foundation is comparible to revlon
colourstay and im unsure which I prefer yet. Both have the downside of no pump but mac sell a pump for £3.50 which is worth every penny.
The colour selection is brilliant for this foundation but remember guys NC is for skin with yellow undertones and NW is for skin with pink undertones. This is VERY important to get the right colour.
The foundation gives medium buildable coverage with a natural matte finish.
I would recommend getting a sample first and get colour matched at a counter. If you have to go online remember mac colours run a bit dark. Colour test near the back of your cheek to your jaw to get an idea of the colour, never use your hands neck or chest.
Thanks for reading

Love this foundation!! I always come back to this one. I have tried every foundation out there and MAC Studio Fix Fluid is by far the best for my oily skin. That being said .. you need to use primer under this foundation! I prefer Smashbox or Arbonne.
NC20 is the perfect colour for me and provides great coverage for my skin. I have small acne scars from my teens and the occasional break out around my jawline. This foundation can be thick and cake face if you use too much, I usually pump 1 or 1 half a pump onto the back of my hand and mix in some oil control moisturizer and mix, then using my urban decay optical blurring brush I put a dot on each cheek, forehead and chin and blend, usually this is enough coverage and I follow up with MAC studio fix powder or a translucent powder or Dior Forever Skin
This foundation is great for year round wear ... in the summer mix this with your favorite moisturizer and it makes a nice tinted moisturizer! and in the winter it provides nice coverage without making your skin look dry or cakey.
Moderation is alway the key! and BUY THE PUMP!
Will keep buying this!

What a disappointment! Highlighted every line I had around my eyes. Was too drying and too Matt for my skin. Shall go back to my fav Smashbox Studio Skin.

I purchased this foundation in the hopes of gaining a good foundation for a "flawless face" look. I was terribly disappointed to find out this foundation has very low coverage, and yet still managed to look cakey. The color range is also very limited, and i found the color a sickly orange. I will not be repurchasing this foundation.

This was my first higher end foundation that I bought, and although I wanted to love it I couldn't. I am nw15 which is the 2nd lightest shade. I got matched in the store but when I got home and tried it I looked like an 'oompa loopa'. The foundation was way to orange and I found it hard to apply as it wasn't very runny so it was hard to spread around the face. The fact that this foundation is meant to be for oily skin persuaded me to buy it as I had high hopes. By lunch time the foundation had already gone patchy and the oil on my face was obvious.Even when setting with powder the foundation did just not cooperate. I was annoyed for paying over £20 for 30ml of rubbish. Comparing this foundation to one from a drugstore I have to say it was pretty similar. I wont be buying this again and for a first time Mac buyer I was really disappointing.

I have used this foundation so many times and always go back to it! Application is key apply to much and it will look terrible! I find it best if you apply a small dot to each cheek and on your forehead and gently blend with fingers! Let it dry and add more to areas that need more! I use Mac matte primer under neath and think u absolutely need to prime before this foundation! I have very oily skin and sometimes this will oxidize by the end if the day! But if you apply right prime and powder it will look flawless!

This a great for a go to foundation that blends nicely and lasts all day. I have to say when I use this in summer it has given me spots in the past but its fine for winter use. This foundation has really good coverage without being thick, it blends nicely so doesn't just sit on the face. I hate unnatural foundation and this gives a nice natural finish. I would recommend going a shade lighter however as this WILL oxidise, when I use NC45 it makes my skin darker and slightly orange. NC44-43.5 is perfect however.

This foundation is by no means a HG foundation for me. It is however a solid, staple foundation and one that I seem to go back to time and time again.
For my combination skin, it works well. I use NC44.
I will either apply it with a stippling brush more a more flawless, airbrushed look or use a sponge and apply it lightly.
If you have really oily skin and hope that this foundation will work on it's own, you're not in luck. The skin can still get shiny at the end of the day if you DON'T powder it.
I would recommend a translucent powder to set the foundation after you apply it. For really oily skin, try Kryolan Anti-Shine Powder. For more coverage, powder with Studio Fix Powder or another brand pressed powder.
With combination skin, I can get away with just powdering my t-zone or on cold days, I can wear this foundation on it's own.
When it does mix with the skin's oils, it does tend to oxidise and go orangey in colour. I find that most MAC foundations do this. I tend to carry a little powder compact and touch up on the go to prevent my foundation from doing this.
If you are on the drier side, I actually would not recommend using this foundation unless you apply MAC Fix+ to the skin after.
For the price and the colour range that it offers, I think this foundation is good.

I'm trying to find a replacement foundation for Estée Lauder's Double Wear liquid foundation since they both took away my shade and changed the formula so I bought this. I'm happy with the formula and coverage (medium to full). It's easy to apply and to build up and I like the wide range of shades they offer. Sadly, it doesn't last as long as the Estée one, not nearly. I have to reapply in the afternoon if I want it to look as good as it did in the morning (in the t-zone). I'm not sure if I will repurchase, I guess my search for the perfect foundation continues.

Really good coverage, stays for a long time. Great for oily skin, as it has a matte finish that doesnt go shiny after an extended period of time. For me, I don't need to put a finishing powder on top, because it sets just fine by itself. Reasonable price for the quality of the product.
Only bad thing is the smell - too "makeup" smelling.

I went to the MAC store and wanted something that would give me a done up finished look. I was committed to using the MAC Mineralize Foundation, which is a mixture of powder and foundation, but the make-up artist suggested I try the Studio Fix Fluid. This product works well, especially considering this was my first fluid foundation. I use loose powder over the foundation if I want to tone down the look. The product is a bit heavy and doesn't include a pump. The price wasn't bad either: $27. I'll continue using the product(still kind of early; I've only used it for a few days now, but so far so good).

This is a great foundation, like many have said.. but it does tend to oxidize on the face. My shade in everything else MAC is really an NC20, NC 25 in the summer, and when I put on the NC 20 it looks great initially and a perfect match. However, a few hours later my face is darker than my neck. So I bought NC 15 over the strenuous objections of the MA who insisted it was too light, and it is at first, but later on it's perfect. I apply it with the 187 brush and get so many compliments on my skin! My one complaint is that I think it should come with the pump, but I bought one that I switch around to whatever bottle I'm using at the moment.

I love this foundation! It is very creamy which works well with my dry skin. In the past I tried powders and mousses that really didn't work for me and I was anxious about trying a liquid, but it is beautiful! I first got 'NC15' which at the time was the palest shade available, but as I am very fair I went back and purchased the foundation in 'NW10' when MAC released paler shades. This shade is perfect for me and has lovely pink undertones which I have naturally. It goes on very well around my eyes and cheeks, and makes my blusher look stunning! The price is okay at around £20.50, a good foundation is always around that price. Would definitely recommend and buy again and again!
