I can't get on board with this foundation. The coverage is good, full coverage, and you really don't need very much at all. I find it quite finicky though- it doesn't take much for it to look really unnatural or streaky or caky, and it sinks into pores like no other which is not ok with me. It stays on fairly well throughout the day but it tends to slip a bit and settle around my nose and other little places which I don't like. I have drugstore foundations that are more reliable than this one, and for C$55 I'm not willing to spend that kind of money on a foundation I'm not thrilled with.

I'd been wearing Neutrogena anti-blemish foundation for awhile to try and clear up my skin, but after long days at work the oil would come through anyway and I'd still get breakouts. The coverage wasn't even that good. Then on a whim I tried the LM silk creme at Sephora and I was pretty darn impressed with the coverage. I'm used to having to do foundation and then concealer on all my acne scars, but the foundation alone covered 90% of my acne. With this and the LM powder on top, my skin is flawless and I almost never have to wear concealer. The downside is that yes, it does feel a bit heavy on, but it doesn't LOOK as heavy as it feels. The foundation just by itself won't absorb any oil, so if you have oil-prone skin you're going to need a powder on top or a mattifying primer, but I don't find this caking up and although it WILL rub off after a long day (let's be honest, I still haven't found one that doesn't), reapplying the powder mid-way through the day really cuts down on that. So far, this is my favorite foundation... it's really expensive, but I'm willing to pay it for flawless-looking skin, and one tube lasts me about 2 months.

HOLY GRAIL FOUNDATION!!!! i was shock when oil free foundation changes their formula, and their new formula really2 bad. then i bought lots of foundations, sisley number 3 (the color is too orange but another color is too light) nars sheer glow in barcelona (cant keep my oilyness) makeup forever hd in 120 (cant keep my oilyness and looks cakey) then when im on vacation in hongkong, im searching for another foundation, i bought this and they match me with bamboo beige. I dont put high hopes with this foundation, next day i use it with my sigma f82, a little goes a long way, please be careful u only need a tiny amount of this product, and smells like coffee which is fine for me. It covers almost anything! And then i travelled to disneyland, after 3 hours of playing i go to the bathroom and cheking my makeup, i cannot belive what im looking on a mirror! Instead of oily my face looks glowing and radiant, with this full coverage formula i dont feels i wear anything, feels so light and the color is perfect for my nc30 skin. And the best part this is photograph so well, Go Buy this u'll never regret!!! Thank u laura

Terrible foundation. After reading all the great reviews I had high hopes, but I am SO disappointed.
Pros:
- packaging (tube)
- shade selection (cream ivory was a good match for my fair skin)
Cons:
- settles into every "whole" on your skin: pores, scars, fine lines... and emphasizes all that horribly.
- DISAPPEARS from the face by the end of the day (worn with a primer, and I don't even have oily skin...)
- the coverage is not that good (medium at the most I would say)
- feels heavy and mask-like
Back to EL Double Wear. This stuff is just not working for me at all.

Overall I really like this foundation. I have a fair complexion with combination skin. I'm 17 and i've always had trouble with acne and this covers scars pretty well, but it's not good if you want to cover a bump or something like that. It has a very build able quality to it, and i've gotten lots of compliments telling me my skin looks really good. It's not the best makeup for pictures though because I feel like it makes me look shiny and paler than i actually am. Grrrr! I feel like it has a bit too much of a watery consistence, but it's not very bad. Overall, I really like it and i'll definitely keep using it until I find that PERFECT foundation. In the meantime this will do. Oh and a lot of what you're paying for I feel like is the name, but this is quality stuff. And for quality foundation, this is a pretty good price. And it lasts FOREVER. I got this back in Christmas, and I use it EVERY day and I still have a lot left.

I seriously adore this foundation my skin looks dewy and perfect after application and a bit of powder. I'm already on my second tube of this because I just find it delivers the best results that I require in foundations. I first apply moisturizer then I apply a dime size of the silk creme on the back of my hand and take a foundation brush and buff it into my skin. The packaging is nice- portable, lightweight, and prevents leakage. It's on the pricey side but I think it's worth every penny. I've tried many foundations including Chanel Vitalumiere and MUFE HD foundation but found them all way too heavy and cakey. I always return to this product because it delivers the best coverage and finish.

I got a sample of this, as I’m currently trying out different foundations.
I am an NC25 in Mac and the shade bamboo beige fit me perfectly. I usually wear Lancome Teint Miracle- which is pretty medium coverage, so having said that, this foundation is WAY to heavy for me. The consistency is nice on the skin, but it feels and looks like a mask! It didn’t cover acne scaring, it just looked like a cakey mess and you could see the brush strokes from my application.
Meh. I would not buy this.

I have really oily skin, with a few problem areas, and love this foundation. Perfect coverage, and even though it gets my skin gets oily later on in the day, a bit of powder and im good to go.

This foundation is amazing . I have combo skin: oily t zone with dry cheeks. I use Lise Watier primer on my t zone plus sunscreen all over my face and then apply this foundation (cream ivory) either with my fingers or foundation brush. I use a small amount...maybe pea sized and blend well. It is amazing, it gives my skin a porcelain look. I do set the t zone with Laura Mercier loose setting powder and it holds up pretty well. I usually blot t zone and powder miday. This is my dependable workday foundation, I either use cream or powder blush over it. Love it. I do think that oilier skins would not be happy with it, I also have such horrible dark circles that I do need a dab of concealer under my eyes. However, it does cover my red nose and jawline beautifully. I am on my second tube of this product.

I've purchased several of these and honestly, I just can't find anything better. It's medium, buildable coverage and It looks flawless and natural. I have combination skin and this foundation Is the perfect mix between matte and dewy. It doesn't oxidize on my skin nor does it look or feel cakey. It only takes a little bit to get a radiant, beautiful look. I either use my hands or the Sigma F80 Flat Top Kabuki brush to apply the product and buff it in. The texture is just right - not too liquidy and not too powdery. I have never broken out from this foundation nor does it irritate my skin. It's very easy to blend and it just melts right into your skin. It is more on the pricey side but honestly, if a product works great I'm willing to shell out on the money. There aren't many colors to choose from, but I find the color I have to match my skin perfectly. It feels very lightweight and nice on the skin. The packaging is nice and the lid stays shut tightly so I've never had any problems with leakage. I would recommend this foundation for anyone but if you have dry skin I'd definitely recommend applying moisturizer before hand to avoid a patchy application.

I got a sample in Rose Ivory at Sephora and I've been using it every other day when I want more than natural coverage. This is a great foundation and although it says luminous, it gives me a matte finish which my combination skin appreciates. Since it is full-coverage, I only use a small pea sized amout and blend it with my Urban Decay optical blurring foundation brush, and those two together work wonders. It doesn't look or feel cakey whatsoever. This foundation gives a natural but full coverage which is shocking. I do need to blot my t-zone within about 3 hours, but thats normal for me. I will purchase the full size.

After reading great reviews, I was really hoping this would cover up my crazy hyperpigmentation (from cystic acne), and got a sample at Sephora. My cheeks were a little dry at this point, as it was winter, but I heavy-duty moisturize and exfoliate regularly.
Oh my. This accentuated odd dry patches on my cheeks that I couldn't see or feel. Perhaps it was the buffing motion of my brush that caused this, but with the creamy texture, I thought using a flat-top buffing brush to apply would be best. It probably works for those with oilier skin, but it looked terrible on my dry cheeks. I can't say it covered all that well either; I've found foundations that do a better job (Kat von D Lock-It). Lastly, the hefty $55 CDN price tag was pretty intimidating!

I gave in and purchased this foundation and unfortunately it took me quite a few bottles before I smartened up. When you first put it on it gives you this beautiful flawless face that pretty much looks photoshopped, but it does not last at all. The coverage is full in my opinion, it has a nice rich creamy consistency and it looked like my skin.
But as the day goes on the foundation begins to oxidize to an orange colour, then it looks patchy, like you have huge patches without any foundation on them at all (WTF!?!?!)!
I will never buy this foundation again, it looks disgusting on, I was actually embarrassed to have anyone look at my face-all patchy and shiny! The only good things I can say about it is that it did not break me out whatsoever, and that in the first couple of hours my face looked beautiful-but for the price you pay for it you should expect these good aspects to last throughout the day!

For some reason this fdt. was languishing in my drawer, ignored. I'd forgotten all about it. I was looking for something to put on my Trentoin-dried skin (wouldn't you know it, now that I invested bags of money on matte fdts., I go on Trentoin treatment; story of my life). I found this and decided to give it a try. I put it over moisturizer and got a very nice medium-full-ish coverage. It spreads very nicely and does not look thick. Also, it's not greasy/sticky/gooey. The color, Beige Ivory, is an excellent match. So far, I'm using it w/o powder because I'm not going anywhere, just trying it out. But I know I'll use some powder if i have to go out. Dry-skin girls should definitely moisture before putting this on.
BTW, on the cap it says SHAKE WELL, big as all outdoors. I do advise you to follow the instruction. I always give my fdts. a shake, anyway, for safe measure (you never know what goes on inside those tubes/containers). Nice product. I said I would not re-purchase it only because I have a full tube and dozen other fds. But I do recommend it, if you can shell out the $40 (I got it as gratis).

I use the color Cream Ivory, the color when first put on is slightly lighter than my natural skin tone however, after an hour or so when it settles and oxidizes it matches closest to my skin tone.
I absolutely love love love the consistency! It's seriously creamy & silky. It's easily blend-able and does not feel heavy on my face.
The original packaging comes in a squeeze tube but I find it easier to squeeze the product into a small 'sample' jar to easier use daily. Every morning after my skin care routine I dip my ring finger ever so lightly into the small jar to get the smallest amount of product (a little goes a long way) and dab it on 5 points on my face and blend outward.
This product is definitely full coverage and moisturizing. It will most definitely last a very long time.
I set the foundation with a loose powder or shine control powder, however, after about 2-4 hours this foundation will shift under my glasses and I will need to gently 'wipe' the moved foundation and touch up with more powder
Overall, I really like this fondation, more than any foundation I've used before, and would recommend it to others

I want to love this, but it just doesn't work for me. I'm in the shade rose ivory. The high amount of pigment in it clings to dry patches on my skin like crazy, even with intense amounts of moisturizing and primer. I like the fact it has a lot of pigment and you don't need much of it but I still cannot leave the house with this on because it extenuates dry areas so badly!

I bit my tongue buying this product after hearing so many good reviews about this foundation. I bought this 2 years ago and i'm now starting to use it daily. The first few times I tried it on a couple years ago, I disliked it because my oil started to come quicker than it normally came. I was actually going to return it but lost the receipt (although sephora is really nice about their return policy) but was too lazy to go back to sephora so i kept it. My mistake, it was actually the moisturizer I was wearing that made my face oily quicker. I am now using the Garnier Moisture rescue moisturizer under and seriously, it is now the best foundation I've ever used. It does enhance some of your dry areas so make sure you use the moisturizer for your skin type.I use about 1/4 a pea size for my whole face and just use a concealer to cover up my blemishes. That's the key to natural-looking makeup. Bottom line: Very natural (if used the right amount) and I will definitely repurchase. I gave it a 4 for it's price. (about 40 dollars)

This is one of the best foundations I have ever tried. I love the finish. It's leans between dewy and natural. It feels super light and looks natural on the skin. I use medium ivory and am currently between NC20 - NC25.
