It smells delightful! I don't get much fizz, but I just realized that you're suppose to put it on a completely dry face now. It doesn't harm nor help my acne much. But it's a good product, my face feels really clean after :)

I bought a sample size of this while I was travelling -- and JUST LOVE it (after I read the instruction) -- You do have to use this on dry skin (instead of traditional "wet face first" ) then the foaming/fizzing action starts. It does leave my face clean without it feeling tight :) For the price, I would definitely buy again :)

Ok, yeah, it is a little wired to use this on dry skin, but I really like the fizzing action. Personally, I think this cleanser is gentle & might work well for someone with sensitive skin. I will purchase this one again. FYI: I'm one of those people who has at least 3 different cleansers available at all times. I like to switch it up.

I really like this cleanser. The only thing I have to say I dislike about this product is that it's most effective when used on dry skin.

This was a really good cleanser. At first I thought I wouldn't like it because of the packaging, but it turned out to be really good. It really does fizz. I wet my face first, Then squirt a little bit of product into the palm of my hand and work it into a lather. I feel it works better this way, then applying it directly on a dry face. It removes makeup and cleans my pores pretty well.

I'm really surprised that I like this product so much. I got it as a free sample for buying another Clean&Clear product and I kind of doubted I would even use it. Being somewhat cynical and jaded towards any "new" and "innovative" beauty products, I figured all the hype about the oxygen in this product was just that- hype. But it's now pretty much my favourite face wash- I love the way it leaves my skin feeling. You have to rub it on quite a bit to get a really good lather, and then you can feel the fizzing. I've never had a cleanser leave my face feeling so clean. There's no burning feeling like you just killed half your skin cells and it didn't leave my face red after washing it off. My skin just feels really, really clean. I love the feeling, so I love this cleanser, and I'm gone out today to buy a big bottle of it.

I love this stuff!! I like the fact that you put it on dry sking (ie: thats why some people are saying they get no fizzing or foam, you have to put it on dry and always make sure you close the bottle when done) I put a small amount in my hands and rub together vigerously to create the thick lather and then onto my dry face and rub real good to continue the thick lather and fizzing which you create more of the more you rub it on your face, when you stop, thats when you feel the fizzing and oxygen coming and then quickly dissappearing on your face like the fix basically oxygenated your make up and dirt away as the lather dissappears while you watch. Then you rinse, it really makes my face feel clean and because you put it on dry, you are not adding water to wet your face first in turn wetting your make up and oil allowing it to enter your open pores. With this its strait to a dry face attaxking the makeup and oil right away and believe me when you put it in your hands rub vigerously and you will see the more you do this the more foam you create and the same with your face so rub it into your face for a good few seconds then stop and just watch in the mirror till the oxygen bubbles dissappear with your dirt oil and makeup and then rinse. Lately I have been adding Olay anti wrinkle nutrients daily lathering cleanser with this and it still lathers up real good, I still feel the oxygen bubbles on my face but with the olay I get a bit of scrubbing action too since there are little scrubbing particles in the olay wash. Good stuff would purchase again, but just like soda, close the top of the oxygen will loose its bubbling cleaning affect

i'm so confused with this cleanser. it doesn't seem oxygenated, nor does it fizz when you use it :( there are a few little bubbles in it, which i guess could be the oxygen floating around, but i feel that the "oxygenated fizzing" is more of a novelty saying than actual truth. all-in-all, the cleanser is very average. it doesn't make me break out, but it's not perfect either. it's just so O.K., i don't think i'm going to buy it again.

Bought this to go on vacay, never used it before...name sounded cool. I liked the way it smelled, liked the color and liked the foam. However, there was no "fizzing" which is fine by me as I don't enjoy cleaning my face with soda but if that is what you are looking for then its a no. It did a good job of cleansing my skin (suprised) and removing make up. Packaging is a little "teeny bopper" for my taste but oh well...its what's inside that counts.

I am not sure if I would repurchase this item. It does a decent job of cleansing the skin and removing makeup but might leave some with dry, tight skin. I tend to be oily and I am using it in the summer which makes me even more oily and this does dissolve the oil on my skin and leave me quite clean and refreshed. I am very acne prone and this cleanser did not break me out. The down side is it can leave a film or slimy feeling on your face. The fizzing action is alright but can get a little out of hand if you use too much. I will probably finish this bottle on move on to something else. The price can't be beat but I am sure there are better products out there for my skin.

I liked this at first, then after two weeks of use may face was covered with painfull pimples! Once I stopped using it they went away within a few days. My face normally is congested with lots of blackheads and some hormonal breakouts, but nothing as bad as it was when I was using this. I also didn't care for the smell and how it seemed to disappear while using it with my clarisonic brush.

feels like it doesn't clean my face well. just kinda sits on the surface of my skin and foams up. it's hard to wash off, too. so slimey, and doesn't get rid of makeup well. =( smells nice, though.

It's not that bad, but it doesn't remove makeup well. I feel like it doesn't clean the skin very well. You also have to use a lot to get it to "fizz" like it's supposed to. It sort of dried out my skin, but not that bad. It's not an awful cleanser overall, but I don't like it enough to repurchase.

(Please click on 'Continued' at the bottom to see the paragraphed version of review.) I love this cleanser! I have combination skin that is very acne prone. I'm almost 31, so things are beginning to dry out a tad for me...but I still get the very oily T-zone along w/ my monthly cycle. Anyhow, I was on vacation in California a couple weeks ago & needed a facial cleanser. I had brought along my ProActiv cleanser, but I use that as a treatment step rather than an actual skin cleanser (for which it's not too effective.) I picked up this C&C cleanser in Target's travel bins for just a dollar.Keep in mind that I don't use gel cleansers as an evening makeup remover; I always remove my makeup 1st, using a makeup removal cloth & eye makeup remover on cotton pads, followed by a non-alcohol toner to remove final m/u traces. I use facial cleanser in my morning shower to cleanse/refresh skin. I alternate cleansers depending on my skin's current condition (it changes every few weeks w/ my cycle.)I don't buy into the whole fizzing/oxygenating aspect of this cleanser...I just wanted an adequate/effective cleanser for my skin's needs. I prefer cleansers that leave my skin feeling refreshed & comfortable; neither too stripped/tight feeling or slimy & greasy. This cleanser is my ideal type! I DO see how this could leave some with tight or dry skin if they use it often or don't follow it w/ a skin-shielding moisturizer. I use jojoba oil each day to rebuild my skin's lipid barrier & protect against irritation (as well as assist in unclogging pores.) Because I follow w/ decent skincare, this cleanser doesn't make my skin feel tight or dry; rather it feels perfectly prepped for the skincare that follows. And even though the directions state to use it on dry skin, I use it in the shower on wet skin & it works just fine. I only use a dime size amount & that is plenty. The fragrance is quite strong in this cleanser, so those who are sensitive or prone to fragrance allergy should avoid this. The reviewers who experienced irritation were no doubt irritated by the fragrance ingredient(s). I happen to love the fragrance which is refreshing & grapefruity/lemony, & it fortunately has not caused me any problems. I picked up the full size bottle of this cleanser because I love it so much! It reminds me of Estee Lauder's original formula 'Perfectly Clean' facial cleanser for normal/oily skin that I used to love. It even smells the same!

I was at Target the other night searching for a new facial cleanser, and while I did end up purchasing a full sized product, I was in the travel sized aisle when this product caught my eye. I had been looking at the full size, but was really reluctant to invest completely in it, because the fizzing aspect struck me at first as gimmicky.

I picked up the tiny version, because as I was making my way to checkout, I thought about how my tooth whitening products tend to "fizz" and I thought that maybe I *should* check it out. I've got oily skin prone to breakouts and blackheads, as well as sensitivities and dry patches, and am always trying to make my regimen the best. I have to try new products fairly regularly, as my skin tends to "get used to" cleansers and toners rather quickly.

The first time I tried the cleanser, I admit that I did have some makeup on, and had not come to P'ville to check the reviews of the product first. So naturally, I wasn't that wowed. The next morning I came on here and read what others had said and decided to give it a shot. I even got my fiance to try it out! Yes, it's true that you should probably remove your makeup and dry your face before using this product if it's your daily cleanser, but honestly, I do not intend to use it as one.

I feel that this product is too "intense" to be a daily cleanser for me. It does REALLY help to extract the oil and clogs, and can be a tad bit on the drying side. I used it last night before I went to sleep, and applied MAC's Oil Control Lotion to moisturize, which normally suits me just fine, but this morning I feel a littel bit dry in certain areas of my face. I still intend to use this product probably once a week or so, and use a different moisturizer afterwards, or perhaps only apply it to problem areas as needed.

I definately feel that this product does SOMETHING for skin, but I definately think that it's far too drying for daily use. I also feel that a honey mask used in conjunction with this product might yeild some very nice results. I will update as I expand and alter my use of the cleanser.

Prelimiary Verdict - Worth a shot for a dollar!

As someone else noted, if you wear makeup you should remove that before using this cleanser b/c this just doesn't do the job. I wasn't impressed overall and will return to the Neutrogena line.

Although I know that the whole "oxygen" thing is a complete scam (Oxygen? In a facial cleanser? If you look at the ingredients it says nothing about oxygen) I was quite pleased with this product, it DOES work really well on my skin. I wash my make up off with a light St Ives Apricot wash first, and then exfoliate with the scrub, and then I moisturize. My skin got complemented on by a Dior make up artist yesterday since I've been using this product! I like it, I think I'd buy it again.
EDIT: Ok, after using this for 2 weeks...it RUINED my skin. It literally stripped all the oils off of my skin. I am trying to revitalize it now...I'm using Olay Warming Hydrating Cleanser and boy...do I hope it clears up this mess! DON'T use this product! WAYY too drying!
