Really intense sapphire blue, easy to apply, opaque in one coat w/out any streaking. Lasted on my toes for 2 wks!

I have a slight obsession with blue nail polish. This is quite possibly the most gorgeous blue shade I've ever seen - not just in a polish but in general. It's got that lit-from-within quality, it's an electric, eye-catching and just stunningly beautiful sapphire blue. This shade really needs to be seen in person to capture how beautiful it is, pictures really don't do it justice. I think a lot of Essie shades are very plain and this is a bit out of the box for them but, honestly, if this is how they do out of the box then they should do it more often. This polish is very pigmented, two coats make your nails look just like what's in the bottle. Wear time is decent with a top coat, I get about 4-5 days. This is just a really great edgy, chic color for us blue polish loving girls.

This nail polish was on my wish list and when I got it for $4 at TJ Maxx, I instantly had to buy it. This is a dark deep blue color that is very metallically. You only need to apply the most two coats to get that perfect color that you see inside the bottle. My only complaint about this nail polish is that if you mess up and the polish is on your skin, it is hard to get off because of how pigmented it is. So, be careful :)

Holy moly, it glows! An intense brilliant rich blue with soft shimmer, creamy and smooth it goes on like a dream. Two coats and it's glassy perfection. Love.

As a fan of blue nail polish this is one of the best sapphire blues put there! It comes in a cute bottle and plus the color is very pigmented. You just need maybe like two coats of this and your good to go! Perfect color for fourth of July! Just simply gorgeous!

Aruba Blue reminds me of the color a new car might be, a slightly metallic sapphire blue. This somehow glows as well. I tried it on one fingernail on each hand and liked it but I may like it more on my toes. I also don't like how they are putting stickers on the bottles because it does make it look cheap, but I peel off the stickers. I do like the name of the polish on top of the bottle though. I hope they don't discontinue the embossed glass bottles, I like how classy and simple they are.

This is by far my favorite nail polish color that I own! I really love the look of this dark blue on my fair skin tone. I only had to put on two coats, but I could of just used one. Now if this is too expensive for you, I highly recommend 'midnight blue' by Sinful Colors! I like to wear this color in the summer! I think this is a must have! P.s. I'm wearing it right now! Hehe

I love this as a pedicure color! The application went on super smooth and only took two coats before it looked as good as the bottle. This was my first bottle of Essie and I can already tell I will be buying more.

For some odd reason, I've always had a soft spot for blue nail polish. And I LOOOOOOVE this color! In the picture, it looks way lighter than it actually is. It's actually a beautiful deep sapphire blue that just looks stunning. It's like a nail polish version of the heart of the ocean from Titanic (best way I can put it lol). I actually catch myself staring at my nails after I've put it on...which is something I never really do! I don't really care for the brush though...I think it's a bit too small. But overall, I'll definitely purchase this color. It's too beautiful to pass up!!

Essie's Aruba Blue is my favorite blue nail polish. It's a super bright true blue metallic polish with a subtle microshimmer. I can't stop looking at my nails when I wear it, especially in the sunlight. It's definitely an attention-grabber, so for all the fans of Essie's sheer pearly pinks, this may not be your color. It's mostly opaque in one coat but looks best with two. I forgot to use a base coat with this once and it stained my nails like crazy, but with one I haven't had that problem. The formula is in line with other Essie polishes- not too thin, not too thick, but is prone to streakiness if you're not careful. With a base coat and a top coat it lasts me four or five days before I start getting some tipwear and serious chips after about a week. I love this polish and get so many compliments on it!! It's one of the polishes available at drugstores now, and I definitely recommend picking it up if you see it.

I don't really like blue polish, it doesn't go well with my skintone but I really love Essie Aruba Blue. The application is extremely easy and opaque in one coat (I do three anyway) and I had no streaking/bubbling issues. I actually prefer to wear this in the summer opposed to winter even though it's fairly dark, because there's so much shimmer in it when you're in the sun! It also goes really great with a nautical themed bikini :D

I only took a few points off for the new Essie bottles. The cap is cheap and isn't embossed like it used to be. They also have a tacky sticker on the side of the bottle, as well as one on top of the cap making the brand look much more "drugstore" than department store quality.

I’m definitely not the biggest blue fan, but I swapped for this based on all the raves I read online. I’m going to go ahead and say it – if you’re to have this one blue – Essie Aruba Blue should be it!
I agree with the reviewer that compared this to royal blue car paint. This is definitely a true traditional royal blue, but ever so slightly brighter. I could definitely envision this as a one-coater if you had some skill (I don’t). Aruba Blue is very pigmented and applies true to the bottle, slightly darker if you do multiple coats, but it’s an unmistakable blue with very fine shimmer. It’s nearly chrome like because the shimmer is so densely packed.
This looks magnificent on the toes, especially during the summer months, I’ll be sporting it in the fall months as well. It’s also great on the fingernails – supposedly Emily Blunt wore it in “The Devil Wears Prada” and Jenna Ushkowitz from “Glee” – so it’s definitely very trendy and well-loved!
This did chip on my fingernails after two days, but lasted well past a week on my toes. Not so sure I would repurchase this should I ever deplete it, but I am glad to have swapped for it.

My first Essie polish and I must say I am pretty impressed! Very very cute on toes, it looks nice and clean. It stays for a lonnnng time. I haven't tried it on my fingernails, but if you're looking for a cute summer toenail polish this one is a must try!

Royal blue nail polishes are a dime a dozen, but this one is unique in several ways: it is exceptionally saturated. It has exceptionally fine shimmer, making it exceptionally metallic. It applies exceptionally smoothly. It's a shade or two lighter than the royal blue shimmers you're used to seeing.

You must try this: apply a coat of Orly liquid vinyl (or any good-quality, pigmented black) as a base. Then add a coat of this, and finish with a good topcoat. Just try it, it will be well worth your time.

I bought this to wear to a Kentucky Wildcats basketball game. Go Cats! The color was the perfect metallic royal blue. I started with a coat of OPI matte nail envy, then 2 coats of this and followed it with a coat of Seche Vite top coat. It looked fab but I did have trouble with chipping. It lasted about one day before the chipping slowly started. Overall, its a great color and I am glad I bought it.

I love this colour! It is a lovely metallic cobalt like blue that lasts for days! My first experience with this polish was bad, since I tried to put a rather thin layer of polish on my nails, which resulted in a rough surface on my nails instead of a smooth polish and a very sheer colour. Once I used a more generous amount when applying the polish it turned out to be lovely.(although I do use two layers for perfection)

Definitely not a color for the faint heart-ed. This is a bright, opaque, almost metallic/foil looking blue. The blue is a very true blue...its a very patriotic blue if that makes sense. It makes me kinda think of the blue on the American flag for some reason. It is opaque with one coat and dries fairly fast. I love blue np and seem to collect them, and this is one of the stand out blues that I have in my collection.

I had always used OPI polishes and thought they were the best. This is my first Essie polish and it has already replaced all the OPI's i have to become my fav! I prefer its square bottle compared to the usual round cone shaped nail polish bottle.

Aruba Blue applies evenly and dries fast. 1 coat is enough to get a nice, solid color that is the same with the color in the bottle. It's a metalic navy blue that has just the amount of brightness. This is my favorite color now as I'm tired of the pinks and neutrals, and don't dare to go into brights, and anything darker than this would make my hands look dead white.

Wow! I bought this a long time ago on a whim but never got around to using it.

I finally applied it for the first time just yesterday and I'm in LOVE! This is definitely my HG blue - it's not so dark that it falls into the goth trend, but it's still gorgeously deep. If you love blues, definitely buy this.

I totally LOVE this color! It's a medium blue metallic color that reminds me of car paint. It's the prefect shade of dark blue without being dark enough to be a "navy" blue. Like most Essies, it's perfectly even and opaque in two coats and I love that Essie polishes seem to dry pretty quickly too :)

There's a pic of this awesome color on my notepad.
