Amazing for acne prone skin or just someone with oily skin. I have redness around my nose and now it is obsolete! It leaves your skin feeling silky smooth after. A tip to help spreading it around your face (because I see a lot of people complaining it's too thick) is put the mask on when your face is still damp from using your fave cleanser, it'll glide right on then keep it on for at least 5-10 minutes then rinse with really warm water. A tip to any one looking for complimentary care would be using Lush's tea water toner afterwards, this toner in particular helps kill acne bacteria without burning your skin and soaks up any extra sebum (oil)!! As well Lush has their Grease Lightning crafted with tea tree oil and witch hazel for a natural yet efficacious way to treat spots/breakouts/stubborn pimples. It's a miracle in a bottle!

This has to be one of my Lush must haves! It smells amazing and it feels so nice on my skin. The mint makes your face feel hot and it really feels like its working. After the first night i used it i woke up in the morning and thought wow this product is amazing! I wanted to write a review straight away about how amazing this product is, but thought I'd wait until i had finished the pot. I have had cystic acne for the last few years. I must say lush products have been helping along with my medication. My acne is mostly cleared and my skin feels great. This product i will constantly have in my bathroom and will continue to re purchase, it's amazing for those pampering nights :)

I really liked this product first, I used it for a month and at first I just thought it's cleansing my pores when I got some breakouts but they continued coming and to places I never get them like on my cheeks and when I stopped using this my skin cleared out so yeah.. I liked how this exfoliated when I rinsed it off and my skin felt nice after using this but I find that the smell was too strong and not nice at all :/

Don't think I would purchase this again. It's difficult to spread and it doesn't make any noticable difference to my skin. I would recommend the Queen Helene Mint Julep mask for a similar mask with better packaging and a way cheaper price.

Ok, this stuff is PRICEY. But, it's effective. I got a sample of this and fell in love on the first try. It's calming, super exfoliating and not drying.

I noticed my skin wasn't as oily as usual after using this, another bonus since I battle oil on a daily basis. My skin doesn't feel super tight afterwards, which I really, really appreciate because nothing brings more oil than tight skin!

My skin loves this stuff, so I'll just have to find a way to accept the high price point and get a full size tub.

I love this mask. It makes my face feel cool and tingly. It smells minty and green too which I like and a little goes a long way. I will definitely repurchase.

This is one of my go-to face masks whenever my skin is looking too oily or tired.

I ordered Mask of Magnaminty and Dark Angels from LUSH's website since they didn't carry either in my local store. I live in LA, and LUSH shipped everything from Canada to LA in a matter of three days. Shipping is amazing. Seriously. And it was free. (Score!)

After using Dark Angels, which helped exfoliate all the dead skin cells off my face, I applied Mask of Magnaminty and was immediately hit with the smell of mint. It smells so good! The mask itself is a creamy, thick green paste with little scrubby beans to brighten up your face.

Did I mention that it smells amazing?

Anyway, I applied it with my hands in an even layer on my face. Then, it started to overwhelmingly sting. I didn't know if it was because I exfoliated or what but oh dear lord my eyes started to water and sting and the mint was definitely deep-cleansing. It was way too refreshing but eventually it faded out to a mild sort of tingling on my face. Maybe it's because of my teenage skin? my combination skin?? I don't know, but that's the only time that intense feeling ever happened. I used it last night and that scenario didn't happen so maybe my face was getting used to it?

After 10 minutes I rinsed it off with warm water and wow my skin has never looked brighter! The scrubby lil beans really left my face glowing, and the mint calmed my breakouts so they looked less red. I woke up the next morning with tamed skin. Couldn't ask for more in a mask. (except that initial stinging thing that happened, that was not pleasant)

I have a very oily skin with large pores and some dark spots. This product breaks me out and I notice that the mask shrink into my pores.

The Application:
The Mask of Magnaminty comes in only jars. The mask itself smells like mint chocolate, which makes it very tempting to take a bite out of it. MMM contains Aduki Beans, which makes the mask a little harder to spread around evenly.

The mask would crack when it is completely dry, and I would wash the mask off very slowly, one area at a time, to exfoliate my skin with the Aduki Bean. This ensures that my skin is free of any dead skin, and that it maximizes the potential of this mask to give me a brighter complexion.

The Results:
There are a lot of whiteheads sitting on top of my nose and cheeks, where larger pores are. Instead of using nails, I've learned that it is best to just use a damp cloth and wipe the whiteheads off. If the whiteheads refuses to budge with a cloth, I would just leave it alone instead of picking at it as it could make the pores bigger. The moistness of my face felt just right after the mask, it also feels very soft and looks very vibrant in general.

Final Thoughts?
MJM does a good job in terms of exfoliating and evening out the skin tone for a brighter complexion. However, it doesn't really address the problems of enlarged pores. Overall, it is a gentle mask that does not dry out the skin too much. I recommend those with dry skin to be a little cautious because my mom , who is in her forties and who is not troubled by oily skin, found MJM to be a bit harsh on the skin. MJM did give her a more glowy complexion, but her face stung a little after the mask. Just putting that out there.

Quick Summary
Pros
- Good exfoliation
- Evens out skin tones
- Gives brighter complexion
- Smells very nice
- Relatively inexpensive

Cons
- Doesn't shrink pores
- Relatively short best before date
- Harder to spread around the face evenly
- Also contains Methylparaben

I actually compared this mask with Queen Julep's Mint Mask side by side, along with some photos of me trying the masks on. If you would like to see the full review feel free to visit my blog!

First lush face mask I purchased and it's amazing other than the fact you look like a green goblin it's a proper life saver for acne prone skin as it removes all dirt, blackheads, whiteheads, pimples and any excess oils on the skin. It does leave your skin feeling stinging and cold for a few minutes but you will get used to it the more you use it. I would recommend you use it once or twice a week to optimise results and see a difference quicker .
