Shower gel is ok, not as citrusy smelling as I would like. It does lather and clean well. Just the scent is kind of mild for my taste anyway. The price is expensive for a shower gel that to me is just ok. So for that I would not rebuy.

I got this in a small kit as a birthdaypresent from a friend of mine. To my disappointment this smells like a dishwasher to me. It left my hair clean but also very dried out and I have cheaper silicone free shampoos that preformed much better. Anyway, it cleans the hair and body well, but I´m really not that fond of the smell.

I bought Happy Hippy to try it as a clarifying shampoo since grapefruit is a known grease fighter. I was disappointed to find out that this shower gel didn't clean my hair very well. To my surprise it would be much better for people with normal to dry hair.


As as shower gel it's okay. The scent of grapefruit is very light, but that's kind of expected since grapefruit oil is a top note. It cleans well enough, but the expensive price tag doesn't warrant a repurchase.

*Occurs naturally in essential oils

This is an ok shower gel. THe scent is nothing special for me. I never reached for it until it was my mission to use it up! I got it in a gift set. It did it's job. That's the best thing I can say about it.

I love what this thing does to my hair!!! It feels like it strips all the gunk that you accumulate by normal shampoos. If you ever did the scissor test to your hair you know what I mean. ( The scissor test is you take a strip of your hair and glide edge of your scissor to you hair. If your hair is clean your scissor will be clean if not you have a build up from the hair products.) I find it comparable to some hair salon stuff.

It can seem little drying to ppl but since my hair doesn't need conditioner every wash, it's simply great. It's a nice body wash as well. Clean and soft without any residue. Amazing two in one product.

The scent is as like everyone mentioned great. Very refreshing! Not overwhelmingly sweet or strong. I am extremely sensitive scents.

It's been my treat item for couple of years now.

it's like showering with lemonade.i am not a lemon scent lover because of that i don't like the smell.i used it for both as shampoo and shower jelly.it has avarage shampoo and shower gel quality i think.Except for it's not dry my skin as much as soap does but i still think it's expensive

A very brightly scented, grapefruit shower gel that suds up very nicely with a washcloth. Does not leave a residue or any slick afterfeel. Leaves a faint scent on your skin but does not linger. Great to use in the shower. Packaging is great. Easy to dispense into your washcloth. A definite repurchase.

I love my happy hippy!! it smells of pure grapefruit, so fresh and when in the shower the scent fills it and smells lovely! The scent out of the shower doesn't really linger but the incredible lather and smell of it in the shower makes up for that. Love Love Love!!

I love this stuff so much. The smell is so amazing. It really does perk me up in the mornings, especially those mornings when getting out of bed for work feels like pure torture. I do think it's a bit expensive considering it literally goes right down the drain, so I buy it when I need a pick-me-up or a treat (but that's true of most of my Lush purchases). It makes my mornings a little bit more bearable and for that, I will always repurchase!

I think this is okay. I recieved this in my free gift bag in the christmas sale. It is a pleasant grapefruit scent but for me it is not strong enough. I can only really smell it if I sniff really close to the product. I wanted a bold fresh citrus hit but a bit too mellow for me. But I guess for a hippy mellow would be just the trick. Wouldn't repurchase as I like to be bowled over by a product if I'm going to buy it again. Sorry Lush.

Received as part of a gift set. Smells like pine sol and lemon warheads gone bad. No...just no.

I should have known, though. Eau de hippy was BOUND to be revolting.

Great product! I really enjoy the smell, lather and feeling it leaves on my skin. The price is a bit high (but most Lush products are)! I would recommend asking someone else to buy you this, ie. as a gift!

Refreshing tingling feeling. I can't wait to go into thte shower everyday just to shower using Happy Hippy. It lathers up really well and leave the skin soft and supple without stripping the skin.

Yummmmmmmmmmm !!! Smells like pure grapefruits and its citrus friends. A little goes a long way, and the lather is INSANE !!!! Also great for hair, which is wicked when you're in a rush. It's my number one travel hair and body gel !! Very fresh, clean and great for mornings. Leaves my skin feeling and smelling delicious !!

I love the scent, like others have said, it's a perfect summer scent. Don't expect an artificial citrusy scent though, this actually smells like real lemon and grapefruit. It doesn't dry my skin out. Not much else to say other than that - if you like the smell, it's a good product!

I really enjoy using this shower gel. It has a sweet refreshing lemony grapefruit scent, lathers like a dream and rinses off cleanly leaving my skin feeling very silky. Great for summertime or as a pick me up in the mornings. Its not your typical generic "citrus" shower gel, I can smell the different citrus fruits in it and it smells like real grapefruits oranges and lemons (probably because its made with real fruits, pulp and all) and it has a sugary note that's just delicious! A little goes a long way too so its great value!

Another Lush fave and another great summertime shower gel. The scent is subtle and not overpowering, the grapefuit is refreshing. I find it too drying to use as shampoo.

I heard a lot of good things about this scent so when I had a chance to swap for it, I did. It's not a horrible scent -- but it's also not something I'd really want to come out of the shower smelling like every day. It smells almost like a floor cleaner to me. I suppose that this would be a better scent if you shower in the morning, because it could be helpful in waking you up, but in showering towards the evening it doesn't really help with that purpose.
