I like that this is 0.5%, it keeps my skin clear and soft. It feels very refreshing to use, it has really helped my pores look almost invisible, and it doesn't dry my face out. I've repurchased it multiple times and use it every night before bed.

I was one of those girls who "developed fast". I had a period by the time I was in 5ht grade and wore a C cup as an 8th grader. So along with that, I've dealt with acne for close to a decade now - I'm 21.

My parents always had really good health insurance for me, so I used prescribed products (I loved tazorac topical cream mostly). In college, my parents financial situation took a turn for the worst, so now I purchase my health care through the University (which subscribes to Kaiser). Enough said. As a result I've been exploring with generic acne care systems.

This astringent made me break out even more. It really aggravated my skin, even if I only used it once per day. Also, I noticed it brings out brown spots (almost like freckles but they look more like little grains of wheat or something). Me and this product did not get along. I've used maybe one eighth of the bottle. It's a shame

I love this toner. I can actually see the oil, dirt and makeup it removes on the cotton pads that I use. It doesn't burn, sting or irritate my skin and it works really well at preventing breakouts and drying out the whiteheads that I have on my forehead. Also, it's really cheap so I will continue to repurchase.

pretty good for the price and considering that it contains alcohol which i do not like. It really has cleared up my skin.

Its a preety good toner for its price but i stopped using it since it contains alchol which causes my sensetive skin to break out more. Im looking more for a toner that has pH balance and dosent over dry skin.
In terms of treating acne i didnt really see any changes to my skin but maybe that only because i used it for 2 weeks .

I just got the generic version this (from Target) it seems pretty good. I actually got it because my skin has gotten a little oilier since it's warmed up here (and b/c of blackheads on my nose). I like the idea that it's lower SA (.05%) because my skin tends to dislike SA, but I know my nose will think me for it. It didn't burn, sting, or irritate my skin (so far) :)

I like this product :) But, it is the only toner I've ever used. It lasts forever and I haven't gotten to try out other toners. But it's gentle and not drying, It doesn't do much for acne, it picks up excess dirt off the face, and it tones out your skin. So I would purchase this again :) In, short it's an decent toner.

I bought this with a coupon on sale so it was a great way to test drive this product. There seemed to be mixed reviews about this product. As with most of the reviewers, I chose the sensitive skin formula because of my concerns over too much drying. As with my experience from anything that contains drying agents, it's best to use in moderation. So I don't use this daily... or even every other day. I use this as a treatment rather than a preventative. I know that if I used this everyday, my skin would get irritated, red, and would start producing astronomical amounts of oil. The best thing about this product (using it as sparingly as I have) is that if I feel a blemish coming on and I apply this product at night as a spot treatment, it helps DRAMATICALLY. Using this as only one part of my skincare regimen has helped rather than relying on this to be my only means to a miracle cure. Use sparingly and you may be writing a positive review as I have.

I haven't had much luck with Clean & Clear products in the past, but I have been using this toner for years and it works pretty well for me. I can actually see what it picks off from my skin when using this with a cotton pad so I know that it's doing a good job in removing the oil. It doesn't sting or irritate my skin, and leaves my skin feeling quite refreshed. Keeps my skin looking alot clearer when using this in my routine. Will keep repurchasing. :)

I just brought this product tonight and used it on my acne, Just instantly my acne looked alot smaller! Ive been reading alot of the reviews and theres more good reviews then bad so i would definatly go with the good reviews even though this was my first time using it. It was only about $5 so i definatly think its worth a try if your unsure about it. If it clears your acne then great, but if doesnt then just simply stop using it. So definatly go for it and buy it :)

I first started using this when I was pretty young. Usual story: mom got it for me, v. impressed by how much gunk it cleared from my skin, so started using it regularly. I've now been using it daily for several years, right through my teen years and I can honestly say that I think it has utterly destroyed my skin. :( I should now be well beyond the acne phase, but my skin is horribly uneven in color, rough and greasy. I only realized recently that it was almost definitely this astringent. Although it removes loads of dirt from your face, I think this product does more harm than good. It is very harsh, and my skin is revolting. :( The bottle's gone in the bin and I'm on the hunt for a way to salvage my poor face. Desparately hoping it's not permanent. Never ever ever using this product again. Save your skin and never use it!

Edit: As soon as I stopped using this, my skin has been heaps better! Nowhere near perfect, but I noticed a change less than a week after this went out.

Idk what to say about this yet. The morning after first using it on my chin (I had nothing else on that area for two days because I have acne scars and I dont want my chin breaking out again) my chin had to new small pimples on it! I hate to think an acne treatment would cause pimples....so I will see how this works after a week.

Edit: I've been using this every morning and night along with my Clean & Clean Sensitive Skin face wash, and this has worked pretty well. So far, it's helped with the mild breakout that I had on my forehead. This stuff is pretty decent for the price. It's a nice toner. I would love if Clean & Clear came out with a moisturizer for sensitive skin as well.

I am so impressed by this astringent. I've always been reluctant to use these since my skin is prone to dry out quickly, but I decided to try this to improve my complexion and help get rid of pesky chin pimples. It is SO cheap that I didn't have very high hopes.. but this stuff is incredible! I use a small amount on a cotton ball nightly after cleansing.. It removes all sorts of dirt you didn't know was on your face! It feels super refreshing and gentle, and since I've been using it (about 2 weeks or so) I've noticed significant improvement in my skin... I had uneven redness on my cheeks and it's toned down to the point where it's barely noticable. Also, the pimple on my chin disappeared after two days. Amazing! I often go out foundation-less because I love how much my skin looks. I will keep repurchasing until the discontinue. :]

Don't laugh - this is seriously HG for me! I've tried other toners, but they just don't feel right! I've been buying this stuff for years. I use this at night after cleansing and in the morning after rinsing, and I believe it is this toner/astringent that keeps breakouts away - not my cleanser. I don't have sensitive skin but I like this formula because it never stings, it deep cleans and gets whatever is left over, and doesn't leave a residue behind like other toners. I definitely recommend this to anyone with combo skin, or even oily/acne-prone if your toners/astringents are feeling harsh. And of course, keep all toners away from your eyes - of course it will burn them!

This product is amazing! I am a drugstore cheaps when it comes to acne clearing products only because you have to use so much of it & it has the same active ingredients as higher end products. I decided I wanted to try clean & clear. I got the sensitive skin one because other reviews said it burns a lot, but actually it didn't or not on me. I dont have acne prone skin maybe 1 or 2 here or there & in the time of the month i always get 3 XD & this help a lot. It removes all the impurities left on the skin after washing it & it leaves the skin feeling refreshed! I just love & so does my BF. I would totally recommend. =)

Before I try this I tried the other C&C astringent (the orange one, or pink), I didnt like it at all, so I bought this one for sensitive skin, because I thought it wouldnt be so harsh.
After I start using it my skin became dry, my cheeks were constantly red and irritated!!
I had severe cystic acne at the time, all over my face. I decided to take care of my skin by doing regular facials with a esthetician I knew. I told her I didnīt like this astringent because just the smell irritated my eyes. But I wasnt sure whether was the product or my bad skin, so I brought it into her office for her to take a look. She read the ingredients and said this was awful for ANY SKIN type. She explained to me how bad the ingredients are and gave me a prescription for compounded products. (Which worked so much better!!!)
She said this astringent is pure alcohol and I couldnt agree more.
Just take a look at the ingredients before you buy it!

Ingredients: Salicylic Acid (0.5%) Inactive: Alcohol (24.5%), Algae Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Benzophenone-4, Blue 1, Denatonium Benzoate, Dimethicone Propyl PG-Betaine, Fragrance, Glycerin, Isoceteth-20, PEG-32, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Citrate, Water

I donīt recommend this to anyone, itīs too harsh, worst quality.
