PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: DIRECTIONS: Apply to lips 15 to 30 minutes before sun exposure. See card for details.

MY THOUGHTS: I purchased the Blistex Lip Infusion Moisture Splash with sunscreen lip protectant SPF 15 during my search for a reliable lip balm. Initially the switch from a soft wax lip balm to a liquid roll-on was difficult to adjust to. The runny application was easy to over apply and left my lips feeling slippery. Be cautious about licking your lips while wearing this product as it leaves a synthetic taste in your mouth afterward.

I've noticed that the coverage disappears quickly after a meal, and doesn't seem to fulfill its promise in keeping my lips moisturized. My lips were always dry, hard, and tight in between applications. Note: I stored this product upside down near the end because I noticed the roller ball was drying out.

PAULA BEGOUN: Poor (don't buy). Blistex Lip Infusion Sheer Liquid Balm SPF 15 Moisture Splash ($3.19 for 0.14 ounce) has a roller-ball applicator for its liquid formula, and although it feels less thick and waxy on lips than many lip balms in stick form, the lack of sufficient UVA-protecting ingredients makes it a poor choice for daytime use.

MEDICINAL INGREDIENTS: Octinoxate 7.5% w/w, Octisalate 2.0% w/w.

Like all roll-on glosses, this product is gone in a flash. It absorbs into my lips in under 20 minutes. I honestly can't tell if it works in terms of solar shielding, or moisturizing either, for that matter. Just a run-of-the-mill gloss. Not worth purchasing.

goes on smoothly at first but leaves your lips really dry in a few minutes. Not moisturizing at all. I feel better with plain old Vaseline petroleum jelly on my lisps. Can I get my money back?

I am sad. Apparently this is being discontinued. I was at CVS the other day and noticed these were 75% off. That can't be good. I mean, it's good that I picked up 4 for the price of 1, but that can only mean its days are numbered. No, it doesn't last very long, but then regular lip gloss doesn't last very long. And while it's a liquid, it doesn't feel goopy or sticky. And I love the metal ball that feels cool and tingly on my lips. If you love this too, better pick some up now before it's extinct!

This product is the biggest sham ever. I cannot believe that they sell and advertize it as a "moisturizing/hydrating" lip gloss or balm... or whatever you want to call it. I did not use the medicated kind, I used the regular misture splash. I had three of them and I threw them all away after trying one a few times.
I have dry, cracked lips (well, usually but not so much recently). I am always looking for a good lip balm or gloss that will actually moisturize my lips and leave them feeling soft, smooth, and in good condition. I've tried everything in the past and nothing works so I have given up. I just don't pick at my lips as much anymore and they're a lot better.

But anyway... this product dries out my lips like crazy. It smells like vanilla which is nice, and the packaging is great since the product is so runny yet it doesn't leak. But this product has zero staying power (of course it would, it's like water). It comes off in a couple of minutes, which is probably a good thing because after it faded it left lips severely dry and the top layer of the skin would harden, crust, and peel off. Nasty! I would never, ever purchase this again!

I get really bad dry lips in the winter, and I thought my other lip balms were just "protecting" and not "moisturizing". My dermatologist has told me to stay away from certain lip products because they become addicting and your lips can't produce natural protection on their own, but I decided to give this a whirl. I think it would be ok if one's lips were not that dry, but it is no good imo for severely dry lips. Mine just sat there, no penetration whatsoever. At least it was shiny.

EDIT- Gave it an extra lippie, because after saving my lips with Blistex Medicated Ointment, it works for an added touch of moisture and shine. Still not the best imo, though.

I love the medicated version of this for when I have chapped lips. It feels cool which is nice and oily which isn't, it gives a great shine but only lasts about two minutes. The only time I've used it is when my lips are chapped, it's not good enough in my opinion for everyday use.

I love this stuff! It moisturizes my lips well, gives my lips a really nice sheen over lip gloss. I love the metal roller ball applicator! Since it's summer all year round in where I live, I pop this in the fridge & put it on after. :) Feels great!

This was lame. I got the Cherry flavored one. Tasted too mediciney to me. Plus it did nothing for my lips. It was there and then POOF! gone. Lips felt the same, just tasted worse. I like the little ball, maybe they should put some actual balm in the damn thing though. GARBAGIO!

Nice roller ball applicator, but the actual "balm" did nothing. It was liquidy and did not moisturize at all. I won't buy this again.

I really LOVE this product when I first put it on, but it just doesn't stay on long..I sometimes put it over my lipsticks and it does give me great shine...just not long lasting shine.

In the summer, I tend to always go back to this product though. At ballgames and stuff, it's great...even though I have to reapply often.

Easy to apply... that's almost all I can say about it. It was smooth for 5 sec and then it's gone. Did not help my dry lips at all. Will not buy this again.

I bought this just as something to be a preventative measure. My lips weren't dry, or cracked or chapped. I hate this stuff! The smell is ok but the taste is horrible! It tastes like sunscreen! It's just awful. It lasts about five minutes before it's all gone and I swear it makes my lips more dry than they were before I put it on!

I like the roller ball delivery system! It's very cool and I don't mind the fact that it's very liquid and almost watery. If it actually moisturized my lips and didn't taste like I just licked a tourist (I live in Florida) then I'd continue to buy it but really, the way it is, there's no point. It does nothing for my lips except make them more dry! Blech!

Very disappointing. The rollerball is nice. It does give a soothing sensation. But this is sooo runny. This is NOT a balm!! A liquid cannot provide much moisture. It's gone in a few minutes. The scent/taste is not pleasant and causes you to lick your lips. I threw this away...a first for me with lip balms.

The good stuff first: the packaging was great. I love the roller-ball thing because it really spreads the balm well. I do like the vanilla smell and I like the gloss that comes with it.

And that's all I liked about the balm. If you can even call it a balm. I bought this with high hopes but it failed to deliver. I had to reapply every 10-15min and there was virtually zero moisturization. It did nothing for my cracked lips at all.

Vaseline is better. And cheaper.

Yeah, it's okay. It IS soothing, the rollerball is incredibly smooth and a nice touch, and it doesn't smell too obnoxious. But when I look for a lip balm, I look for something soothing AND moisturizing. And this doesn't cut it for me. If anything, it was drying and made my lips flaky and gross. Definitely won't be repurchasing, but it was worth a shot.

what I like about this product. I like the high gloss sheen it gives my lips. Looove it. But that's about it. I don't like the cloying vanilla smell and it doesn't moisturizer my lips. It actually dries them out. Huh???? Was very strange. Also the taste is enough to make me gag. Ok I'm loving the shine, and I love the rollerball but I can't wear alone. Too drying. However when layered over a lipstick or something similar it's quite lovely. So occasionally I do that for some extra pop. I will not repurchase tho as I expect a lip product to moisturizer not suck me dry
