I have been searching for the perfect primer for what feels like forever, so after hearing a lot of hype about this product I decided to give it a go. I have to say I was very disappointed! For a product that's this pricey I was expecting a lot better - after applying it my face did feel a lot softer and smoother but after applying my foundation etc I felt like it didn't really make a difference in terms of keeping my makeup in place and oil control. The product did make my kin feel slightly oily despite only using a tiny amount!

I think this primer may be more useful for people who do not have combination/oily skin like me. I have a nearly full tube of this so I'll probably carry on using it to avoid wasting my money completely - my search for the perfect primer continues!

I love this primer! It feels light and non greasy. It's super spreadable too. My make up stays on longer with this. Its a bit expensive though..

I have got quite a dry skin, so I thought this primer wouldn't work for me. However what I have found out while using it was that it actually made my skin feel smoother and appear more hydrated than without it.

I have tested this primer for at least 10 hours (as I work in the office and come home late) my foundation and especially concealer (which usually disappears in 1-2 hours) was still on and it didn't crease or go patchy.

This Smashbox goodie felt quite comforting and I like the fact that it has no tint to it, just in case you want to wear it on its own - it shouldn't be visible to anyone. Love this primer.

I tried using various primers MUFE, Mary Kay, laura mercier (sample), etc. I was never a fan. I chose this as a sample in a sephora order I placed online just because I've never really used smashbox products and none of the other samples were all that appealing. A very very little of this goes a long way. I used just about the end of a q-tip worth for my entire face including eyes and jawline. I wasn't expecting much but ironically I actually get a photofinish. I don't recommend this for oily skin, I have dry and I think that's part of the reason this works for me. I also use a lightweight foundation and some concealer and I think those products work well with this primer. This made my makeup stay alllll day. my makeup usually lasts pretty well but nothing like I've ever seen with this. First few days of trying this i came home and my makeup still looked like i put it on. I was seriously blown away. If you've been disappointed with primers in general and have dry skin I highly recommend taking a sample of this home from sephora/ulta. It's a bit pricey though to just buy for a try. However I'm so happy with the results that I'll be purchasing some when my sample is done for!

I really like this product its a good primer and a little goes a long way. But its just wayyy to expensive to purchase. I have a small sample size which I will try to make last a long time. I love how smooth it makes my skin, it just makes applying makeup easier and makes it last throughout the way. I end up using this mostly as under eye primer because on most days I mostly just wear concealer under eyes.

Love this primer! I feel that this is a skin treatment almost more than a primer. My skin looks great after using this for only a week. I put it on and let it set for a few minutes before applying my foundation. I have tried other primers but never liked them. I will say that I think my makeup looks better about an hour after applying the primer and foundation. It really softens lines and fills pores. I only use a small pea size.

This has been my go-to primer for several years. I've tried a couple of the Smashbox Primers. This one and Photo Finish Light are generally the ones I reach for.

The consistency is gel-like. It's very easy to apply and glides over the skin. It feels greasy at first but once it sets, your skin will feel velvety to the touch.

I always use liquid foundations. I feel like this primer works best with dryer or mattifying liquids. While Photo Finish Light blends into the skin more like a lotion, this primer sits on top of the skin more, so it keeps foundations from settling into your fine lines and clinging to dry patches. Photo Finish Light is better for dewy finish foundations. I think both Primers are great depending on what foundation you're using them with.

This keeps my makeup on all day. No creasing or patchiness. Definitely a five star product and something I will continue to use. It's pricey, but it improves the longevity of your makeup so it's totally worth it in my book.

This made my face breakout and like others have said, it can be greasy especially if your skin is a tad bit on the oily side already. I too feel like my pores are somewhat clogged. Took me awhile to figure out that this was the cause. Its a no-go for me.

Greasy and makeup seemed to slide right off my face or get stuck in the pores. I used the oil free version. Did absolutely nothing but dent my wallet. Never again, only glad I got the trial size.
