Funny, I had thought I had written a review of this product, but no, I never had. I have gone through at least 2 tins of this. I started with the regular Smith's Rosebud Lip Balm, but honestly, didn't love the texture. Then I discovered they made the Strawberry Lip Balm. I love this stuff. I love the smell, the texture, everything about it. The thing is I am one of those people who have terrible sinus issues and breath through my mouth at night (yes, I snore!) and this drys my lips. But I put on a nice layer of this at night and when I wake up I have baby soft lips. I am very fortunate @ 48 yrs old to still have fairly full lips and I take care of them. This is a reasonably priced product and it lasts forever. I think I once estimated with regular use (and I use mine daily) that a tin can last up to a year or more. It does tend to melt a bit in the summer heat and sometimes you get a tin that's a bit difficult to open, but other than that an excellent product. As you can tell, I have purchased this a few times over and will continue to purchase it as long as they make it.

I love how this smells! Smells like really yummy sweet strawberries. I find myself applying this many times throughout the day just because of the smell! It's moisturizing and leaves a nice sheen on my lips. I don't find it being slick or oily. It's also great as a base underneath my lipsticks.

First thought when i saw this: that's gonna last me a very, very long time.
second thought: i love the smell of strawberries.
third thought: i really need chapstick.
for me this was a little bit of an impulse buy... i was just waiting in a line @ sephora and saw it and well... i just "needed" to have it... i'm sure you all know what i'm talking about.
and i wasn't disappointed. I love the silky texture (it doesn't seem too oily for me) it sinks right into my lips and gives them a nice little sheen. My lips are pretty red naturally so i don't know if the pink tint makes a difference. I like the sorta artificial strawberry smell so if that bothers you... don't get this. Some people don't like the tin... others not. I really don't mind it. I was stupid at first and kinda just threw it in my back pack and well... it now has a few dents and dings... hey it looks loved :) now i stays at home. overall this is my go-to lipbalm.

I can't live without this. Not to be dramatic. But I absolutely need it to keep my lips moist and healthy.

I use this alone, or over a lipstick. Even when I'm just wearing clear lipgloss for the day, I usually put this on first. There is no color to it, but it'll give you nice moisturized lips with a soft sheen. The price is dirt cheap for its top quality. The smell is fantastic; everytime I open it, people around me will exclaim "OH MY GOD, WHAT IS THAT??"

OH MAH GOD. I LOOOOOVVVEEE this!!!

I was dorking around Sephora (which I do EVERY TIME I go to the mall xD) and came across this with its sister (the rosebud salve...?). I am not a particularly huge fan of rose scented things so I opened this up instead and OH MAH GOD it smells like STRAWBERRY CANDY.

It doesn't have any tint and the tin will last you FOREVER. I think mine may be a mini version because its only 0.8 OZ. but it will still last me for many many years to come!

Not only does it smell good, but it works too! Ive been wearing it pretty much all day and have noticed my lips are very smooth! It is moistruizing and has a slight sheen without being sticky or goopey, very light on the lips which I ADORE.

I found this near the cash register at Sephora, where they sell all the little versions of things :) and it was $7, no tax because I live in Oregon :D

DEFINITELY worth the 7 bucks I paid and even if you dont like it I'm pretty sure Sephora will refund opened stuff. :)

It's definitely not as moisturizing as the Rosebud Salve (which is just glorified Vaseline) and it's a bit pricey.... but oh my god, this smells like strawberries. And not the fake kind, either. I've never found this scent in anything before! i would repurchase, but I don't think I'll need to because the tin is so big!

Its not as moisturizing as the rosebud salve, but it still works! I love the real strawberry smell of it :) I wouldn't buy again because this thing will last me forever..I'll probably end up giving it away before I finish it lol

love the smell! it's like a real sweet strawberry. and this tin will last you a very long time. the only problem i have with the packaging is that over time, the tin gets beat up and the metal bends so the lid may not fit properly... also i don't really like to dip my finger into a product. i prefer an applicator (much more sanitary).

Let me start by saying the strawberry version of this lip balm is my favorite as the smell of roses isnt really what I want to smell all the time.
This tin is cute and large, so you get a good amount for the price and I dont think Ill run out of this for about 2 years or so. I have not had any issues with the lid coming off on its own.
It leaves the lips shiny and slick, but its kind of a greasy slick on my opinion, which I am not a huge fan of. It does moisturize my lips, but not as well as some other balms I have tried. I think this is nice to layer over a lip stain.
All in all, Id say it is an average lip product, and if you like strawberry scents you ought to give it a try.

LOVE this stuff! I think its just as good as Burt's Bees' Wax but softer and with a better taste. I put it on at night and my lips are so soft and smooth when I wake up in the morning. I like the strawberry scent too. Its about $7 for a tin but there is a good amount so its worth it.

I had heard a lot of great reviews about this product, so I thought hey why not. This stuff smells incredible. I apply it on top of my lipcolor, just to give a glossy look. When my lips are chapped, I apply this also. Works great to moisturize your lips. Not too sticky.

Yum! It is a little greasy, I just used a small amount. Very hydrating, and I love strawberry.

YUMMY!!! First of all, let me say I hate fruit scents, fruit gum, and fruit candy. I was expecting to hate this as well. I was pleasantly surprised! It smells like real strawberries, not that fake, artifical crap. I have four other lip balms from this line and this one is the thickest in consistency, which I really like. In fact, they all have sorta different consistencies (except the mint rose and regular rose are pretty much the same consistency). I just can't get enough of these balms! My mocha rose is in the mail and I can't wait. Some people say these are expensive but they are huge and last forever! I finally got into a second rose one after having the first for years! I always keep at least one flavor by my bedside, one in my backpack, and one in my purse, and I rotate them!

I love the original rosebud salve, but I'm not a fan of this. It smells very sweet, which I like, but the texture is different than the original. It's firmer and waxier. I feel like it coats my lips instead of sinking in. Plus it has kind of a gross taste - I noticed it when I was kissing my boyfriend and couldn't figure out what it was until I reapplied later on. I'll stick to the original.

During the long cold winters, I really need a blam or chapstick that can really moisturize my full lips! It's somewhat difficult for me to find the right balm to use, other than vaseline, to help me with my dry lips during the winter. I purchased this item about a month or two ago, and have been using this product every few nights during the week and rotating with vaseline. First, I love the packaging, I think it's cute and it smells amazing; this was the first reason why this product drew my attention. I didn't like the other RoseBud Salves (they smelt awful to me!). Second, I like the size of the product, it's a decent size for $7. Third and lastly, it really helps my lips! I can sometimes feel a film form after using layers and layers of other lip balm/chapstick products but this does not leave me that weird film over my lips. I really love the product!

There is a lot of lip balm in it for 7 bucks but it's still a lot for a lip balm. I think my Burt's bees works about the same as this so I don't get the hype. I do love the smell on this. I don't like that I have to dirty my finger to apply this, that's a downside.

It's worth the money because you get a lot of product and it's a cute vintage packaging. I love the smell it's ok on moisture and it does last a bit on my lips. I gave Ira 3 cuz I'm neutral. Id repurchase if I was at sephora and had a few extra bucks. Nothing special about this though

I really love this lip balm, it's very moisturizing. It's protecting your lips well because it contains petroleum, a barrier ointment. The ingredients are simple, and I love the large tin u get for 7 bucks too. At first I thought it was a bit pricey, and then I thought about it, and it's not pricey at ALL! You get 22 grams, which is a LOT for 7 bucks actually! The Burt's Bees tinted lip balms and Revlon's new lip butters amongst many others are the same price and you get way less. I really enjoy the strawberry scent/flavor as well. As an added bonus, I am supporting my state, Maryland, by purchasing this because it's where Smith's is located:) As far as the packaging, I know alot of people dislike the tins because of sanitary reasons, but I constantly wash and sanitize my hands, especially due to the fact that I have a toddler, so this doesn't bother me at all. And this is too thick to be packaged any other way without changing the formula. Love it!

LANOLIN. Stupid, stupid lanolin. I love Smith's original Rosebud and the Bramleberry. But this one has lanolin, in it...major allergic reaction. Please be careful if, like me, you have an issue with lanolin.

I'm gonna put this lip balm in the same camp as Burt's Bees and say that it's yet another product that I don't understand the hype for. The packaging is terrible - you have to get your finger all greasy to apply it. It doesn't smell like strawberries to me, only petrolatum. It's greasy and slimy but doesn't seem to moisturize all that well. I'm going to use the rest of it up, but I don't like it and I won't buy it again.

I always use lipbalm before bed and tried all the drugstores one but they end up making my lips dryer. This one is really moisturizing, smells like lip smackers and i think it will last me a really long time. I havent had any problems with the packaging so far
