I didnt like this pigment, it comes out matte. On my dark skin it comes out chalky almost. I'm a sucker for shimmer so I like jardin aire more :)

I LOVE this color. It's great as a highlighter and on those no fuss, no muss late for work days it looks great with some berry lip gloss and black mascara. It always makes me look wide eyed even when I'm not.

Not only is this a great highlighter, it does double duty as a powdery base for other colors. I also like the shimmery flecks in it, as it adds a nice bit of light but not too much.
I also like using it with clear lipgloss for neutral fleshy color.

I debated for two weeks whether to get Provence. I'd planned to get it for weeks, then when I saw it in person, it was just so boring and blah that I passed. It took me two weeks of thinking about whether to give it a second shot before I finally went back to MAC and bought it. I'm so happy that I picked this one up - it's not a flashy, exciting pigment, but it's so wearable that I just may use up this one. The warm ivory tone blends into my skin perfectly, leaving a bit of a sheen and a layer of tiny gold shimmer. It's perfect as a base, highlighter, or to tone and blend other colors. I have Naked and Vanilla, and probably prefer Naked over Provence as a wash, because it brightens the eye area more. Vanilla is much frostier, and not nearly as wearable as Provence. If you like this color, I would recommend BE's Vanilla Sugar eyeshadow, which is a peachy neutral that makes an understated, elegant wash shade. Even though I love BE's color selection, I think MAC's pigments "stick" better to the eyelid and stay put longer through the day. If you're on the fence about Provence, give it a shot. Even though it's a little bit boring and neutral, it's very wearable and complements other colors nicely.

This is a beautiful color. It is a repromote of a past LE collection. I'm purchacing it with the Strange Hybrid Collection. If you like neutral, light, sheeer, shimmery shades this is a good one for you. Of course, like all pigments, it is sometimes difficult to apply and to take out of the jar without making a mess. That being said, I am one who likes to have days where I wear neutral color or not a lot of makeup and this is perfect for that reason. It is also a great base color. Perfect for highlighting the brow bone too!!! I would definately recommend it. My coloring is NC20 with brown hair and eyes. (i would recommend that you use UDPP or some kind of base so it doesn't just brush off durring the day)

This color is just okay in my opinion. It is a neutral color, with a little bit of shimmer. It is very easily duped by pretty much any other shimmery neutral shade out there.

I like Provence, but I won't be scraping Ebay for it again, when I have a full jar of Naked. I like Naked more and Provence is even lighter, if that makes sense. It seems a bit lighter and a hint more of gold fleck in it; other than that I don't see that much of a difference. Nice silky texture and a very good neutral; but since is is D/C and I have Naked, which is a bit darker and better on me, I won't be seeking this out after my 1/4 tsp runs out. Pretty if you are a bit paler for browbone or highlighting. I'm an NC 30 so this one is a bit too pale and too neutral for me to get that excited about.

Didn't like it at all..swapped it away. The color didn't show up on my eyelids at all, not even when applied wet..the search for the HG neutral eyeshadow continues..

This is my HG shadow wash/base color--a slightly sparkly, golden ivory-nude, which matches my NC5 skin perfectly. Goes on very smoothly, no fallout like I've had with some pigments, and even though it's about $20 a jar, you get a TON of product for the price. Would repurchase but I'll be shocked if I ever run out of this stuff.

I got this at CCO for $13.50. This is my first pigment and I really like this. It's a goldish neutral white w/ gold shimmer. Not so much that it's frosty, it's actually pretty matte. I like using this as a highlighter or just as a shadow all over the lid. I'm impressed, but I probably would never pay full price ($19.50, i think). :)

I know this is LE and probably next to impossible to repurchase a full jar, but I got a sample on Ebay and I really LIKE this pigment! It is different from all the other MAC pigments I own, in that this one is more matte and less frosty, glittery, shimmery, chunky, etc. It is a neutral color- and I LOVE neutrals for everyday wear- so I have alot of use for this pigment. This reminds me more of a BE eyeshadow, except I think this sticks to my lids better than BE shadows. (I always use Lumene eyemakeup base before applying any type of shadows or pigments now.)Today, I used Provence as a wash, lash to browbone, Botanical on the outer 3rd of my creases, and Nightfish as a liner on top lid. MAC Smut e/s to line lower lids. Used Maybelline Lash Discovery mascara on top lashes only. My husband told me my eyes looked especially pretty today. Works for me! :^)

This is a very sheer, very pale, warm-toned ivory (that probably won't even show up on certain mid-level skintones). There are random tiny, tiny gold shimmers throughout, though the color itself is softly glowy. It's really pretty as a highlighter or wash, though it doesn't "stick" quite as well as soem pigments I've tried. But using some Visine or a creamy base of some kind helps. I'm not sure if I'd purchase a full-sized one, but I'd consider it as this is one of the most subtle highlighters I've ever come across (most contrast too much with my NC25-ish skin to look natural).

This is a bit too subtle, and I'm as pale as they come! The texture leaves a lot to be desired as well, very powdery fine and doesn't stick to the lid of the jar, so I have to dip my brush in and end up with way more than I need. I used up quite a bit of my sample by dumping it in with a very matte mineral foundation (Aromaleigh), which made for a nice glow, but now that I'm back to liquids, this is basically useless. I like Naked much better.

I got a generous 1/2 tsp of this product from a_for_anne...and so far, I'm ambivalent. It doesn't really show up on my eyelids at all--I'm a NC 30, so maybe that's to be expected. It goes on a bit better wet, but when I just want a quick wash of color, I don't have time to put it on wet. So while I will use a good portion of this sample, I won't repurchase.**EDITED**
Actually, I might end up buying a jar of this after all. it works very well as a neutral highlighter, even though the texture is still a bit annoying

Another 'nothing' shade ... this just didnt show up on my NC30 skin ... oh well.
I will put this with the 'naked' pigment ... same kind of deal for me.

there's no point in me buying this product... it blended in with my skin and looked like i was not wearing anything at all. i was hoping it would brighten my eyelids up a little, but since it matched my lids... it didn't really help.

Provence's appearance in the jar made me pretty skeptical about purchasing it, but after I tried this on I am in love! This is by far my favorite highlight. It's a very soft ivory color with minimal sparkle, which is what I love about it most.

As a matte-like pigment, it's less messy than all the other pigments from MAC. This is so great for layering it over colors to tone it down a bit, and great overall if you want a soft ivory glow. I've yet to use it wet, but I wouldn't expect anything less of fantastic.

Overall, this product amazing, and I really wish that it wasn't LE. I'm in search of another jar already! :D

I have a 1/4 tsp sample, and it sat unused for weeks - it just looked so neutral and blah, like "why even bother wearing eye makeup at all?" Then one day I was in a rush and splashed some on my lids. Suddenly they were better-than-bare - liner & mascara and I was out the door with pretty lids. It makes a good highlight color, too. Sometimes I blend it into other pigments to lighten up a look that was getting a little out of control. Nice! I'm pleasantly surprised.

This looks like a slightly lighter shade of bare canvas paint but in powder form. Great for everyday use. This is not as sparkly as Fairylite, which I thought was great!

Another item that I was about to swap before reading reviews and I am so glad I read the reviews first. I never got anything out of this pigment and couldn't understand why everyone raves about it so. Then I read a review to use it wet so I tried it and it is the most perfect color for highlighting! There is so much shimmer in it, which I LOVE! Definitely use this wet and it will be gorgeous! This has replaced my vanilla pigment which I used to use daily for highlighting.

My only complaints with pigments in general is the packaging. The jars can be spilled easily which ruins the whole thing. I also wish they were sold in about half the quantity and for half the price. Even the pigments that I use almost daiy barely have a dent in the jar. The price is very good for the amount of product that you get, but you will never use it all.
