I found this lippy in a pot at Holt Renfrew and it works so much better than the one in the tube. Much easier to apply and seems to last longer, it doesn't seem as greasy on my lips.
Would defintely purchase in the pot again.

I have chronically chapped lips and I'm always searching for that perfect lip balm. I bought this product on the basis of one beauty editor's rave review. Personally, I don't see what she's talking about. This is very ordinary and kind of thin and greasy. One way to get some use out of this product is to use it almost as a lip primer under a heavier lip balm. Sort of like putting moisturizer over damp skin. I'm currently topping this with Dr. Lipp Original Nipple Balm for Lips.

Not a big fan of this product at all! It made my lips feel extremely oily and lacked in effectiveness. My lips stayed dry and didn't get hydrated as I was hoping for and I have experienced with many other lip balms.

It was very expensive for a lip balm. I bought from Kiehls at The Grove downtown and was sold because of the customer service rep ranting and raving but it was a pretty miserable product and left my lips feeling sticky/oily

Nice enough product, I bought it in pear flavour which was really quite a fresh flavour. Didn't taste too sickly or artificial. Really love the packaging and branding, it is the perfect size for keeping in your handbag!

It keeps my lips hydrated even after a whole night inside an air-conditioned room. This is more hydrating compared to The Body Shop's lip butter. Sometimes I even use this under my eyes at night (after moisturizer) to seal in the moisture. Its clear, it fragrance free, doesn't stain my sheets, doesn't irritate my nose. Great

A few years ago I ended up in Union Square, SF, and decided to splash some cash. Headed straight for Saks Fifth Avenue. You know it.

After much soul searching, I eventually decided to drop $7 (or thereabouts; at least, that's what the current price online is) on a tube of the original lip balm.

I know, I'm such a high roller.

The verdict is: perfectly fine balm. Lips feel soft. Fulfilled my desire to get something a little 'fancy' (... yeah, I know).

But, bottom line, I just don't really feel like paying $7 for a fiddly little tube of lip balm. Not when I got my Vaseline and my Chapstick.

Also, this may sound odd, but I like the way I can remove, apply, and recap the simple Chapstick tube one-handed. Kiehls - you can't, not with the fiddly little twist-off cap. Just a small category where Chapstick wins- less hassle for the clumsy.

I am not keen on this lip balm. It is very greasy and very difficult to apply as it is so oily. Even if I put a tab on, it feels uncomfortable. I have the none scented, however, I have not noticed a smell anyway. I like my lip balms to be bit more gel like. On the effectiveness, it is ok. I do not use it if I have very dry lips, but as an everyday it seems to do the job. It is not a good product if you put lip balm on under lipstick or lipgloss due to its consitency. I will not repurchase.

This feels like cooking oil on your lips.I haven't noticed that this helps my lips what so ever and to make things worse it go away very quickly, It slides right off and lands on chin or upper lip.The slightest amount of pressure will give you to much product so barely squeeze otherwise your in for a mess. Don't buy this!

Try jack blacks line of lipgloss

I actually quite like it but I've got 3 tubes of the scented ones, which in my opinion, are better. Its annoying to apply with a cotton bud but the results are amazing. I'm a big fan of Kiehl's and have used their products for quite a while now. But purchasing Kiehl's products in Australia are costly and you can buy them overseas for about 20% off the price here. They have an extensive range over there! I use it on my lips at night and wakeup with satisfaction. I've tried everything like Vaseline,Paw Paw (which also works as well)etc. Overall its definitely worth the money and time.

I've resurrected a tube of this that I had in my makeup bag for a while. I hate using this because of the gross oily smell and taste, I wish I had one of the fragranced versions. I quite like the texture, it's substantial yet still liquid, and I like that it's in a tube (but a slant applicator would be a plus). Re the product performance, it seems fine for maintenance while my lips are in good condition, but as this balm was SO hyped, I can't help but feel a bit disappointed. I have picked up so many balms it would take me a lifetime to use them all, but even if I was to run out tomorrow, I doubt this would be on my shortlist to rebuy - I want to try Clinique Superbalm next.

I'm rating the cranberry flavour. So good! I think I'd only get it for the flavour but otherwise the moisturising property is still just as good! More motivated to use this that Lucas Paw Paw Ointment. I'd definitely buy this again and for other friends!

EDIT: dropped one star cause this product has literally melted in my country's weather. It's like a bottle of oil now that squirts out a massive amount no matter how careful you try to be.

I ended up buying this lip balm as I needed to top up my purchase to $120 in order to qualify for membership. I knew this was some petrolatum Vaseline gimmick.

What pleasantly surprised me was the consistency. It was very liquid-like and easily spreadable. That's what I like about this product.

What I hate is the price. s$17 bucks for a tube of this? No thanks! Also, beware that it contains propylparaben and butyl paraben, ingredients I want nowhere near my lips. Additionally, the tube is honestly a pain in the ass if you're rushed for time. I have to spend like 10 seconds trying to squeeze out just an itty bitty amount for my lips.

So will I repurchase? No.

So...basically, this is Vasoline with some sunscreen in it. Luckily, I didn't pay for it. I got it as a gift. Moisturizes no better than smearing butter onto your lips. All it is is a barrier between your lips and the environment. I felt no moisturizing going on whatsoever. Trash.

I really enjoy this lip balm. Its thick, but sinks into the lips really well. I have it in the coconut flavor and its perfect for the summer! I say ask for a sample of this before you buy if you're skeptical.

This worked for about a week, then it started turning my lips into a dry, greasy mess. Also the package is a pain in the ass because it's very easy to squeeze out wayyy too much. And it smells weird.

Simple - it's just oils in a tube. I wasn't into the screw cap dispenser. It's relatively thin consistency means it's easy to squeeze out more than you need for your lips (which isn't much). It didn't taste or look like anything but oil. eh. I started to use it as my before-bed balm, bc the oiliness didn't bother me when it soaked in overnight. It works to moisturize, but wasn't worth repurchasing.

I revcieved a pack of these lovelies as a gift. Of the lot my favorite was the Mint, it gave my lips a nice tingle. I have friends who swear by this and are primo fans but I wasn't wow-ed by it.

I am going to keep searching for "the one" lip balm for me.

Best lipbalm ever. and if anyone dares to say that this is the same as Vaseline, i can tell you that it's NOT. Because I've used all sorts of Vaseline lipbalms & the original tub (hate it). I loved the tube ones, but they turned into semi-liquid after abt 1.5 months.

Kiehl's #1 does not turn into liquidy balm. And the difference it makes to my lips is huge, my lips dont feel like they have a film of something on it. And my lips have the shine after i apply it, not the greasy kind but the just nice, glossy kind. So no, this is not Vaseline, and i will repurchase this again and again. :)

This is by far THE best lip balm I have run into. I live in a dry wintery climate that also changes really fast into desert heat and when I travel to humid places or the weather changes my lips go crazy chap and swollen. In addition to that, I have a very slight overbite which my dentist tells me causes my lips to be chapper than most people (not sure how this makes sense but he's the specialist I guess). I've tried Burts Bees which was okay at first but stopped being a moisturizing option. The only other one I would take over this would be Carmex if I was looking for a cheaper option.

The balm is very light and not sticky at all and immediately moisturizes and repairs. My lips are no longer ever chap unless I run out--which I have since stopped doing so by stocking 5 or 6 tubes at a time because I love it so much! A little bit goes a long way and the only problem I run into is when I talk, eat, or generally move my lips too much I have to reapply--just like with any other lip balm.

I've tried both the balm in the round case and in the tube and love both though I prefer the tube so I don't get my fingers all sticky. I also love this in the original and cranberry flavor. Nothing comes close to this lip balm and trust me, I've tried a lot, everything from regular chapstick to organic stuff like Korre's and Body Shop to high end claims like Clinique.

I don't know whether I should thank this lip balm or curse this lip balm. This, this is the lip balm that helped me learn that I am horribly allergic to lanolin. My lips swelled up...it looked like I got punched. But at least now I know Kiehls products use a lot of lanolin. Thanks to this and a hair product I bought from them, at least I now know two things: 1) I am so, so, so allergic to lanolin. 2) I need to stay away from Kiehls products.
