Only got this yesterday and already I think it's great. The SA put some on me but over my useless drying Bourgois concealer so the result wasn't great but it looked good.

I used it properly today (on top of some Happyology eye cream I got as samples) and it looks so natural, just blends into the skin. I even had a little sleep and it still looks great (and my new L'Oreal mascara didn't even flake!)

I like the idea of incorporating skincare into a make up product too.

I'm pretty pale and this colour is perfect for my undereyes.

I really like this one. It covers my dark circles very well, looks natural and doesn't settle into fine lines. Overall it's a great concealer, but it's just not good enough to justify the price tag. Would probably be close to HG for me if it wasn't so expensive.

I have quite dark, but not REALLY dark cirles under my eyes- I have tried ysl's gold pen (way too sheer although i loved how illuminating it was), and then i purchased this one and the dior skinflash. They are both crap in my opinion after spending so much money on them they both disappointed me so much. After the rave reviews guerlain has on here i thought it might at least be good, but it was cakey and settled into fine lines (im 21!!!lines????? lol)Dior did the same. Ysl didnt but was too sheer to seriously cover much up. oh well the search continues...

Seeing all the rave reviews I decided to try this. What is so great about this? Pretty much if you don't have much to cover then this would be great. I have dark circles and was looking for a good concealer. All this did was create shine under my eyes. Very disappointed. Don't buy this!

I am fair/light skinned, and based on reviews & product description on Guerlains & Sephora websites I chose this shade, which turned out to be too light. Also, I did not find it to be effective and definitely not worth the $$. Another reviewer liked L'Oreal Airwear, so I went out and bought that and I agree it is much better and much cheaper. I sent the Guerlain back.

I have been searching for a new concealer for the past six months - considering reviews from MUA members. I have used Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier, YSL, Amazing Concealer, and Prescriptives (to name a common few). I am very happy I took the chance and ordered this product online from Sephora, even though I was unable to give it hands on consideration since no one carries it in the Bellevue/Seattle area. I am very happy I found my HG concealer!! I have extrememly pale skin with dark circles and fine lines. This covers beautifully with the perfect pigment of beige (YSL was too pink), diminishes my circles and fine lines, and is much easier to blend than other brands.

This makeup item should be standard government issue to all women over the age of, let's say 40. In my view, looking well rested and brighter-eyed is *that* necessary to a human being's mental health. As a concealer junkie, I operatically sing the praises of Guerlain's miracle clicky pen. Its masking effect over unwanted forces of darkness in the eye area is subtle yet so effective, never appearing cakey, chalky, greasy or obvious. A gentle tap of your pinky finger blends it in with virtually no effort. Thankfully, it doesn't have the overbearing Guerlain signature violet-ish scent. Is $42 ridiculously expensive? Yup, but it won't stop me buying it again.

Bought this product after reading reviews here. Am very impressed - really does cover up my under eye circles. Much better than other similar products I have tried (including Touche Eclat). Expensive but worth it.

I bought this based on the reviews here and i am very pleased. It's really a super product and is so much better than the ysl touche eclat! Touche eclat didn't do anything for my eyes, no covering and it did a very little highlighting job. This color matches me perfectly gives good/medium coverage and it really highlights the eye area very well. The packaging is really very nice but the downside is you can't see how much is left inside the tube. Normally, i wouldn't care but mine finished very quickly like in a month's time or 6 weeks i can't remember. I was very surprised i thought it would take longer for me to finish the tube given the money i paid for this. I would buy this again when i'm bored with my concealer/when i want to feel luxurious or for good highlighting purposes. I highly recommend this to you!

Love this. Was looking for an eye product that would work as shadow base and concealer, but with some treatment benefits. I'm so glad to have found this product! The color is perfect on my fair skin - very natural. It's easy to apply and you don't need very much. 4 lippies because it's expensive!

Just started using this, after a recommenation from a very kind MUAer, and loving it so far. I had a bad experience with YSL (gave me a red, scaly rash) and it was too chalky anyway, and was then using The Body Shop's Lightening Touch. This is tonnes better then either, and worth the money. I got Beige Clair, which looks very light but goes on a bit darker than it looks and is a good match for my fairly pale skin (and I think it would work for skin a bit darker than mine too). I use it under my eyes and then just a touch on my brow bone. You don't need much, and just tap it in and it blends smoothly. I have a few lines (I'm 29) and dark circles. This covers and lightens and totally brightens my eye area (and therefore my whole face), all without being chalky or obvious like the YSL. AND it has moisturising and anti-aging properties. The packaging is adorable too - the gold pen comes in a black velvet pouch. All in all I'm VERY glad I got this and I strongly recommend it.
UPDATE: This has now been replaced by Precious Light Rejuvenating Illuminator. I asked the SA what the difference was, and she it's only slightly reformulated: she said it's a little lighter (consistency) and that it contains more anti-ageing treatment etc. The colours are now 0, 01 and 02, as opposed to 00, 10 and 20 before. The shades are similar: 0 is rather pinky, 01 is quite light/whitey, and 02 is darker and more tan/orangey (more orange than the old no. 20). The old no. 20 was perfect on, so I'm a bit miffed about the new colours. 01 is too pale, but 02 is a little too orange now. 02 is my best match, though, out of the three.

So much better than YSL. The YSL didn't cover at all and is more of a highlighter, but this is just great... it provides coverage as well as highlighting effects. Beige clar is perfect for me (LLL)
I'm happy:)

HG! Does everything what you expected, and alot more. After my previus horrible experience with YSL Touche Eclat, this is a miracle. I'm 27, but have a few expression lines under my eyes, and I'm not happy with my eyecircles. I use this over my foundation, in my eye sockets, I tap it on it, and Voila! It works, it stays all night and day, I look rested, it's like an instant lift/facial/treatment. My Mom loves it too, and we've been using it for over five months now (once a day both of us, every day), which means that you get a good use out of only one pencil. You don't need much, maybe an occasional turn or two will last you app. 2 days. I love it!

I have dark under-eye circles (despite getting loads of sleep and a good diet!) and have tried other products like YSL Touche Eclat to cover them up. Touche Eclat is a bit chalky for my olive skin. This Guerlain pen like product really did the trick. It has a very fine, sheer consistency. I drew it on and then lightly rubbed it into the area. It didn't settle into any fine lines and looked a natural shade on my olive, fairly tan skin. I also use it on scars / blemishes elsewhere on my face. It evens out my complexion and helps create a smoother finish in combination with foundation. Made me look brighter without any obvious glitter or sheen. Goes on under or over foundation. Packaging is good but it took a while for it to come out when I first got it. You have to turn it around quite a few notches. I haven't tried it long enough to see if the antioxidants etc would improve the under eye circles.

Overall I would definitely repurchase. Love it!

I love using this on my browbone. It adds a surprising amount of "awake-ness" to my whole eye area...like the tiny stroke on a painting that somehow magically changes the look of the whole thing. It doesn't have too much of that pearly iridescence in it like some illuminating products....really like it a lot.

I'm extremely pale but this is colour is even a bit lighter than my skin, which makes it perfect around the eyes. I use it for dark circles and eyelids, it's a very natural, sheer liquid. More of a highlighter for that area than a concealer though. It catches light well. I apply it over concealer and I don't worry about my dark circles for the rest of the day.

I have to join the raves here! I think that this is the best concealer I have ever used! Creamy, smooth, even soothing on the delicate eye area, it does not enhance fine lines, but it hides them (at last, a product that does that!)and highlights the face beautifully. Easy to blend below or on top of your foundation. I have beige clair too (the lightest shade), even though I am not that fair (MAC NC30). The SA matched it for me to use as a highlighter and undereye concealer and ,even though I would think it would be too light for my tone, it somehow suits me just great. So do not be afraid of it if you are not that pale.

An excellent packaging! A delight to have in my bag. I'll update about the quantity of the product when I run out. (I hope there's enough in there!)

If you're out for a concealer, don't miss out on this! It is trully a find!

update, 4 Jan 2005 : I've been using it once a day under eyes, center of forhead, sides of nose sometimes and there were days that I've been using it day and night (twice)....Well I just run out and I do not appreciate the fact that I run out without any warning and that early! It's only been a month.... I cannot reduce lipsticks though....it is such a good product!

I bought this one after a looong reflexion and comparisons with most of its equivalents on the European market (Touche éclat YSL -too chalky- & éclat minute by Clarins -too pink, looks artificial on me). In my opinion, and after my exhaustive researches :), this product is the best formula, it is very light yet covering, no perfume, and contains a smooting agent which is just perfect if you apply it on areas like eye contour. I use it for dark circles, a difficult area as I have fine lines and a dry fair skin. Precious light proved completely invisible, not too beige, not too pink and saved me the awful effect of white halos around the eyes on pictures! The result is 100% natural if you don't put powder on top, but will last all day. I really feel that my skin is being moisturised all day (witouht having any miraculous effect on wrinkles, let's be honest!). I would not use it to conceal blemishes, as it is an extremely light and fluid formula. I also love its luxuous packaging and velvet bag, so Guerlain indeed!

Update 9 Dec 05: still my favorite. Made the mistake not to use it during 6 months, but quickly realised all other brands were either too drying, or too dark. This is the holy grail of concealers, the only inivisible one. It's magical!
